Game for teaching design thinking through the use of characters and environments
A design system includes a protocol of rules and a game apparatus. The game apparatus includes paper, cards, or an electronic device. The protocol includes instructions that prompt a user to create characters and environments. Characters may be paired with environments and goals are set for the characters. Obstacles are identified and solutions to the obstacles are created. A visual story is created based on the game.
Vision Protection Method and Systems Thereof
A vision protection method is provided to ensure a viewer to rest his/her eyes after viewing on an electronic device for a certain period, wherein the eyesight protection method includes the steps of detecting at least one of eye activities of the viewer and working parameter of the electronic device in a working mode of the electronic device during the viewer is working on a current work displaying by the electronic device; switching the working mode of the electronic device to a resting mode when an abnormal eye activity of the viewer is detected; and switching the electronic device from the resting mode back to the working mode to resume the display of the current work of the electronic device. Therefore, the viewer is enforced to rest his/her eyes after every certain period.
Football board game
A football-style chess game and method for opposed players includes an eight-by-eight checkerboard-style game board having an End Zone at each player end of the board, two sets of game pieces, each set including conventional chess pieces, e.g. a Quarterback (QB), a Fullback (FB), a Running Back (RB), a Wide Receiver/Defensive Back (WR/DB), a Linebacker (LB), and eight Front Line (FL) pieces. A method is also disclosed wherein the chess game is played for a fixed duration of time, and points (dollar values) are awarded to the players. The player having the highest cumulative point total at the end of the game is then declared the winner. A method is also disclosed for adapting the chess game for play electronically, such as through a global network of computers.
Methods and Systems for a Gamified Startup Ecosystem
Systems and methods are presented to disclose a gamified startup ecosystem wherein the participants comprising various real and role-playing stakeholders of the startup ecosystem are enabled and incentivized to interact with each other in their respective roles in a plurality of ways that draw upon gamification to make the participants' experiences interactive, valuable, interesting, educational, and rewarding for them in their various roles.
REALITY-AUGMENTED MORPHOLOGICAL PROCEDURE
Data representative of a physical feature of a morphologic subject is received in connection with a procedure to be carried out with respect to the morphologic subject. A view of the morphologic subject overlaid by a virtual image of the physical feature is rendered for a practitioner of the procedure, including generating the virtual image of the physical feature based on the representative data, and rendering the virtual image of the physical feature within the view in accordance with one or more reference points on the morphologic subject such that the virtual image enables in-situ visualization of the physical feature with respect to the morphologic subject.
Method and system for providing an event space associated with a primary virtual space
An approach to facilitate providing an event space associated with a primary virtual space is provided. An event space is provided to users of a primary virtual space, wherein the event space comprises one or more event objectives. Users of the primary virtual space having primary user accounts have associated event space accounts indicating event user parameters, event game parameters, and event inventory information for the first user. The user may be provided with event virtual items for purchase wherein the event virtual items are used in the event space during the event period. In response to a determination of the progress of the user associated with one or more event objectives an event award is determined for distribution to the user, wherein the event award may be used within the primary virtual space.
COMPUTER-CONTROLLED THERAPY WITH AN ADJUSTABLE REMOVABLE CAST
Real-time cast sensor measurement outputs of a set of cast sensors that each measure a characteristic related to usage of an adjustable removable cast worn by a patient during treatment of congenital talipes equino varus (CTEV) are monitored. A cast usage anomaly relative to a treatment program prescribed for the patient with respect to wearing of the adjustable removable cast is identified according to the real-time cast sensor measurement outputs. Responsive to identifying the cast usage anomaly, real-time corrective treatment feedback is provided to the patient that instructs further and proper use of the adjustable removable cast to improve compliance with the treatment program prescribed for the patient.
Methods and systems for gamification of startup investing
According to some embodiments, an investment teaching system and method is provided. The system comprises a processor, an investment training server, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising processor steps that when executed by the processor perform a method for teaching about investing using an investment game. The method comprises assigning, an allotment of virtual money to each of a plurality of game participants. Each of the plurality of game participants are assigned a portion of the total allotment of virtual money. In response to hearing a pitch from one of the plurality of game participants, a simulated investment amount is received at one of a plurality of game participant devices. The simulated investment amount is transmitted to the investment training server. A determination of a winner is received where the determination is based on a total of simulated investment amounts received from the plurality of participants.
Method and apparatus controlling a user interface
A computer device comprises a user interface configured to display time information associated with a feature. The time information indicates when the feature will change from one of being available and unavailable to the other of being available and unavailable. The time information changes at a first rate. At least one processor is configured, in response to a user interaction via the user interface, to cause the user interface to display content, the time information being configured to change at a second different rate while the content is displayed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRAINING NON-TECHNICAL USERS ON HIGHLY COMPLEX CYBER SECURITY TOPICS
Systems and methods are provided for presenting a cybersecurity training game to one or more players. The game comprises a turn-based game in which two players take turns playing entities, such as game cards, which have attributes or effects. Each player's objective is to attack and destroy one or more devices belonging to the other player/opponent and set up defenses to mitigate attacks on their own devices, so that the player destroys the devices belonging to the other player/opponent before the other player/opponent attacks and destroys their own devices, using game cards that are dealt to or acquired by them.
