A packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system includes a wall sleeve in which a chassis is mounted. The chassis includes the major electrical and mechanical components for the evaporator and condenser sections, and includes a pan that collects condensate from the evaporator section for use in cooling the condenser coil. The sleeve includes one or more guide openings in a sidewall, and correspondingly mounted guide structures inside the sleeve that are configured to guide treatment pellets into different portions of the PTAC system to suppress or inhibit microbial growth. This arrangement obviates the need to partially disassemble the PTAC unit to remove the chassis so that treatment pellets can be placed into the PTAC unit.

COMPOSITE INTERCONNECTION CONDUITS FOR HVAC SYSTEMS

A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) packaged unit includes a first refrigerant circuit component configured to change a temperature or a pressure of a refrigerant flowing through the first refrigerant circuit component and a second refrigerant circuit component configured to change a temperature or a pressure of the refrigerant flowing through the second refrigerant circuit component. The first and the second refrigerant circuit components are within a common refrigerant circuit that is disposed within a common support structure. The HVAC packaged unit also includes an interconnection conduit having a length formed from aluminum, a first end segment coupled to a first end of the length, and a second end segment coupled to a second end of the length. The first end segment and the second end segment are each formed from copper, and the interconnection conduit extends between the first refrigerant circuit component and the second refrigerant circuit component.

A movable air conditioner includes an air conditioner main body, an air conditioning unit installed in the air conditioner main body and configured to generate a cold air or a warm air, a control unit configured to control the air conditioning unit, and an attachment/detachment unit configured to detachably attach the air conditioning unit to the air conditioner main body so that the air conditioning unit can be optionally detached from the air conditioner main body and used independently.

Sealing Cover for Air Conditioners

An improved cover for covering and sealing an air conditioning unit that is otherwise exposed to the room in which it is installed. The cover is easily mounted to or removed from the wall or surface from which the air conditioner projects and in the preferred embodiment is made from a fabric that is also easily cleaned and stored when not in use. Around the periphery of the cover's open end is a flange to which one element of a separable fastening system is affixed; the other element of the fastening system may have an integral adhesive backing and can be easily installed on the wall or surface. Mating the separable elements of the fastening system seals the enveloped air conditioner and its sleeve from air, noise and bug or insect infiltration. Other alternative embodiments and fastening methods are disclosed for an improved cover that is easy to install, remove, clean and store.
