The flexible duct connector processing system of the present invention comprises a decoiler machine and a processing machine. The decoiler machine stores one or more rolls of flexible duct connector stock which are fed to the processing machine. The processing machine beads, notches, and cuts the flexible duct connector stock according to programmed instructions received from a control system. A conveyor system disposed after the processing machine optionally collects the cut flexible duct connector stock and conveys it in batches.

An under-floor HVAC system for a building includes a pliable air duct lying upon a subfloor. A matrix of pedestals resting upon and extending upward from the subfloor supports a set of floor panels, which thus creates a plenum between the subfloor and the set of floor panels. The air duct extends through the plenum to convey conditioned air from a supply air duct to a series of registers in the floor panels. The registers disperse the conditioned air to a room or area just above the panels. To help keep the air duct from repeatedly extending, retracting, and otherwise sliding freely along the subfloor in response to changes in air duct pressure, the air duct is held taut by anchoring a distal downstream end of the duct to one or more of the floor-supporting pedestals. Various air duct configurations can be assembled from a predefined assortment of duct components.

Externally tensioned pliable air ducts

Example air duct assemblies include a pliable air duct supported such that the duct is maintained in a generally expanded shape even when the duct is deflated. In some examples, a series of hangers suspend the duct from one or more cables, tracks or other type of overhead support. The hangers are spaced apart and distributed over the length of the duct, and each one contributes in pulling the duct taut in the duct's longitudinal direction.

System components include: an air intake means in the top of the building to receive exterior air; an air filtering and purifying mechanism; an air blower and compressor; air heating and cooling unit; a pressure controlled air plenum; a flexible vertical lightweight traveling tube that continuously carries purified air from the plenum near the top of the building to the cab interior, a flexible vertical lightweight air exhaust traveling tube that continuously carries spent air from the cab interior discharge conduit to the building exterior exhaust, wherein both tubes are affixed to the elevator traveling cable and extend the height of the building.

A system for packing and assembling a flexible duct that includes a sleeve. The sleeve includes a tubular vapor barrier and an insulating layer within the vapor barrier and includes a central cavity. Further, the sleeve is radially compressed and rolled along an axial direction. The system also includes an air core sized to fit within the central cavity of the insulating layer. The air core includes a sheet that blocks fluid flow therethrough and a structural support coiled within the sheet and the air core is flattenable and not within the rolled sleeve.

The inflatable bag may be in the shape of a block. The material may be coated with an impermeable layer, and it may be lightweight and machine-washable. The blow-dry enclosure may have two or more inflatable towers on the top, and an opening on the back to receive air. The vent may be removable, replaceable, and adjustable. The blow-dry enclosure may have a hose on the front opening to connect it to the air mover. It may further have connector flaps to connect it to other blow-dry enclosures, straps to allow it to curve forward or backward, or shorten it, and/or anchor tabs to tie it to the ground.
