20230213219 · 2023-07-06 ·

A dehumidifier appliance may include a cabinet, a refrigeration assembly, a collection tray, and an extended water conduit. The collection tray may be disposed below an evaporator of the refrigeration assembly to receive water condensation therefrom. The extended water conduit may be disposed within the cabinet downstream from collection tray.

Refrigeration system having drain pan

A refrigeration or climate-control system may include a housing, an evaporator, a drain pan, and a fan. The evaporator may be disposed within the housing and may include a coil positioned in a horizontal orientation. The drain pan may be disposed within the housing and may include an inclined lower wall disposed vertically beneath the coil. The lower wall may define an airflow path underneath the coil. The fan may force the air through the housing and airflow path.

Fairly Distributed Plinth

An equipment pad generally includes at least four risers and at least four channels. Riser tops extend outwardly and broaden from a central portion of the equipment pad and comprise an equipment support surface. Channel beds and side walls extend outwardly and may curve or bend from the central portion of the equipment pad to comprise a ground support surface. Channel openings together span from 15% to 50% of the perimeter of the equipment pad and allow drainage to exit the channels. The horizontal area of the channel beds comprises from 20% to 50% of the total combined horizontal area of the channel beds and riser tops. Typically, each channel is wider at the channel opening than at the central portion of the equipment pad.

The pad's corners typically have a combined length of at least 20% of the perimeter of the equipment pad.

Dehumidifier means and a charging station comprising the same

A dehumidifier means includes: an electrothermal converter element; and a collecting container, arranged beneath the electrothermal converter element, for collecting condensate forming thereon, the collecting container having a drain through which the condensate from the collecting container is dischargeable out of the dehumidifier means. In an embodiment, the dehumidifier means includes a support plate on which a holding frame is arranged. The electrothermal converter element is inserted into the holding frame.

Sliding drain pans for cooling units

In one instance, a cooling unit for use as an aspect of a cooling system includes a cabinet having a plurality of panels and having an interior, a front face with a fan aperture formed in the front face, and a bottom panel. The cooling unit further includes a drain pan below the bottom panel. The cooling unit also includes a plurality of guide-rail slide and track assemblies coupled between at least a portion of the cabinet and the drain pan for providing controlled movement of the drain pan between an operational position and a maintenance position. Other cooling units are disclosed with drain pans that may be lowered by a single technician.

Humidifier auxiliary drain pan
11692735 · 2023-07-04 ·

An auxiliary drain pan for installation vertically below a humidifier. The pan has a base and a peripheral wall around the base and a single opening formed in the base adapted to form an anti-backflow connection with a conduit from the humidifier for directing liquid from the humidifier through the opening and a drainage connector, the anti-backflow connection preventing a reverse flow of liquid from the opening into the humidifier. The pan has a structure for supporting the base and having connecting features for connection with a vertical surface in an installed position, with the base secured in a substantially horizontal position in the installed position.

Air conditioner shut-off system and method to prevent drainage overflow
11692736 · 2023-07-04 ·

An air conditioner shut-off system includes an overflow conduit that is coupled, at one end, to the drainage system of an air handler unit of the air conditioner system. The opposite end of the overflow conduit is positioned over an overflow container, which is suspended by a harness at the lower end of the harness. The upper end of the harness being operably coupled to the shut off switch throw of a shut off switch, which is provided on or proximate to the air handler unit. If the drainage system becomes obstructed, water will flow into the overflow container through the conduit, and eventually the mass of the water accumulated in the overflow container will produce enough force acting on the shut off switch throw through the harness to flip the shut off switch throw to the OFF position, resulting in the air conditioner system being shut off.

Miniaturized Air Handler Assembly
20230003418 · 2023-01-05 ·

A miniaturized air handler assembly provides an air handler that resides completely on a drain pan, and comprises multiple panels. At least two panels join at the edges to form an enclosed chamber with central region. Two of the opposing panels are apertured to enable passage of air. Multiple coils carrying cooling fluid are disposed in a parallel relationship, and on the inner side, of the coil panels. A blower forces high velocity air through one or more opposing coil panels, and across the coils to cool the air. All of the condensate that inherently forms on the coils falls into the drain pan. From the coils, cooled air flows to central region of air handler. A fan at the top of the air handler draws the cooled air from an outlet opening that forms in a top panel for dispersing through a duct or plenum.

Hand-held drain cleaner
11541435 · 2023-01-03 ·

A hand-held drain cleaning apparatus which includes a control housing comprising an upper body portion and a lower body portion, a release valve member being movable between at least a first position wherein the release valve member prevents fluid from flowing into a first fluid passageway from a second fluid passageway, and a second position wherein fluid can flow from the second fluid passageway and into the first fluid passageway. The hand-held drain cleaning apparatus further includes a flexible, tubular member having first and second end portions, and a terminal discharge member in fluid communication with the second end portion of the tubular member.

Indoor unit for air conditioner
