The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of: obtaining first sensor data from a sensor that is not an air quality sensor, determining that the first sensor data satisfy a first air quality criterion, in response to determining that the first sensor data satisfy the first air quality criterion, obtaining second sensor data from an air quality sensor, determining that the second sensor data satisfy a second air quality criterion, and based on a determination that the second sensor data satisfy the second air quality criterion, activating an air quality device.
ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SYSTEM
An fluid monitoring system can include a filter having an upstream face and a downstream face and defining a form factor, a sensor package arranged within the form factor of the filter to detect at least one quality factor of a surrounding medium, a transmitter electronically coupled to the sensor package and including an antenna for autonomous wireless transmission of the detected fluid quality information, and a power subsystem coupled to the sensor package and the transmitter to provide access to continuous electrical power thereto.
BATHROOM FACILITY COMPRISING MIRROR CABINET DEVICE AND SINK CABINET DEVICE
A bathroom facility in which bathroom furniture is combined with home appliances for use in bathrooms is disclosed. The bathroom facility according to the present disclosure comprises: a mirror cabinet device attached to the wall of a bathroom; and a sink cabinet device mounted to the floor of the bathroom and including a bathroom sink. The mirror cabinet device includes a cooler and a charging box for charging small home appliances, and the sink cabinet device includes a drawer type towel management unit and a drawer type console.
Systems and methods for monitoring air quality and events likely to affect air quality, and taking remedial action
In various embodiments, an air quality-monitoring system (100) may include at least one sensor (106) configured to detect operation of a mechanism (110) within or at a boundary of an indoor environment. The mechanism may be external to an air purifier (102) associated with the indoor environment. The system may include a persistent memory (124) for storing data about the indoor environment observed by the at least one sensor (106). A controller (104) may be communicatively coupled with the at least one sensor and configured to: assemble the data into an air quality profile associated with that environment; determine, based on a signal from the at least one sensor and on the air quality profile, a likelihood that operation of the mechanism will cause a measure of air quality within the indoor environment to fail one or more air quality criteria; and selectively provide, based on the likelihood, an indication that operation of the mechanism will cause the measure of air quality within the indoor environment to fail the one or more air quality criteria.
Method and Device for Operating an Assistance System in a Motor Vehicle
A method for operating an assistance system in a motor vehicle detects at least one odor profile using a respective odor sensor. The at least one odor profile is defined by concentrations of at least two odorous substances. The method carries out one or more assistance functions depending on the detected at least one odor profile.
MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AIR CONDITIONING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND AIR CONDITIONING MANAGEMENT METHOD
[Object] To provide a management apparatus and an air conditioning management system by which the objectivity of a comfort level evaluation relating to a smell in a room can be enhanced and a comfort level can be evaluated also with respect to an unknown smell.
[Solving Means] A management apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a detecting unit, an input unit, a storage unit, and a control unit. The detecting unit detects a smell in a room. The input unit is operated by a user who enters the room and acquires a sensory evaluation of each user which relates to the smell in the room when the user enters the room. The storage unit accumulates evaluation data obtained by associating an output of the detecting unit and an output of the input unit with each other and stores a plurality of attributes relating to a comfort level of the smell in the room, the attributes being classified on the basis of the evaluation data. The control unit determines which of the plurality of attributes the output of the detecting unit belongs to.
ENVIRONMENTAL APPARATUS CONTROLLER
An environmental apparatus controller performs control over multiple types of environmental apparatuses, and includes a grasping unit, learning control plan output means, and a selection control unit. The grasping unit grasps current mental and physical condition information of a user, environmental situation information, and target relationship information between a target mental and physical condition and a present mental and physical condition. The learning control plan output means outputs a control change plan for each combination of multiple types of the environmental apparatuses according to the current mental and physical condition information, the environmental situation information, and the target relationship information. The selection control unit selects one of a plurality of the control change plans output by the learning control plan output means and executes the plan. The learning control plan output means performs learning such that a method of determining the control change plans to be output is updated.
ENVIRONMENT-CONTROL-MEANS CONTROL APPARATUS
An environment-control-means control apparatus controls an environment of a target space using a plurality of environment control means. The control apparatus includes a grasping unit and a control unit. The grasping unit may grasp state information relating to states of a plurality of subject persons. In this case, the control unit controls a plurality of kinds of environment control means such that the state information of the plurality of subject persons grasped by the state information grasping unit satisfies a predetermined target state condition. The grasping unit may grasp a second environmental stimulus given to a subject person other than a first environmental stimulus caused by control of the environment control means. In this case, the control unit controls the environment control means such that an influence of the second environmental stimulus grasped by the environmental stimulus grasping unit on the subject person is cancelled or reduced.
Vehicle cabin odor detection and amelioration
Method and apparatus are disclosed for vehicle cabin odor detection and amelioration. An example vehicle includes an array of chemical sensors, a spectrograph, and an environmental control system. The example environmental control system generates a spectrum, with the spectrograph, of chemical components of volatilomes in air inside a cabin and classifies the volatilomes based on the spectrum, measurements from the array of chemical sensors, and occupant preferences. Additionally, the environmental control system, when the volatilomes are indicative of an offensive scent, applies a mitigation strategy to affect the composition of the air in the cabin.
