The carriage is disposed in the receptacle and rotatable about an axis between a first position and a second position. The carriage has a first receiving space and a second receiving space. The first receiving space is accessible through the top opening when the carriage is in the first position and inaccessible when the carriage is in the second position. The second receiving space is accessible through the top opening when the carriage is in the second position and inaccessible when the carriage is in the first position. The toy system can include a fog system configured to generate fog within the container. The fog obfuscating the first receiving space.

In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided, and includes a housing and a toy vehicle inside the housing. The housing has a movable housing portion, and at least one functional element that is movable and is separate from the movable housing portion. The toy vehicle has a drive wheel that, when driven in a first rotational direction causes the drive wheel to drive movement of the functional element so as to carry out a function without driving movement of the toy vehicle towards the movable housing portion, and when driven in a second rotational direction causes the drive wheel to drive the vehicle towards the movable housing portion.

In an aspect, a toy assembly is provided and includes a housing and an inner object inside the housing. The inner object includes a breakout mechanism that is operable to break the housing to expose the inner object. A pushbutton that is provided on the inner object can be pressed by pressing a correct spot on the housing. The pushbutton controls operation of an LED in the inner object, wherein the LED, when illuminated, is visible through the housing.

Described is a toy figure with activated components that are activated by wearable accessories. For example, a wearable ring can be positioned onto a toy figure as a mask or helmet, such that upon positioning the wearable ring upon the toy figure, the toy figure is activated to perform a function. The function is an action, such as causing the toy figure to reveal or expose a toy weapon (e.g., sword, gun, etc.), thereby allowing a user to engage in a variety of game play.
