20170307269 · 2017-10-26 ·

A non-condensable gas purge system is configured to be used in a chiller system that uses a low pressure refrigerant in a loop refrigeration circuit. The non-condensable gas purge system includes a purge tank and a purge heat exchanger coil arranged inside the purge tank. The purge tank has a tank inlet for receiving the low pressure refrigerant from a condenser of the refrigeration circuit, a tank outlet for returning the low pressure refrigerant to an evaporator of the refrigeration circuit, and a purge outlet for purging non-condensable gas from the purge tank to the ambient atmosphere. The purge heat exchanger coil is fluidly connected to the loop refrigeration circuit such that the low pressure refrigerant contained in the loop of the chiller system can pass through the purge heat exchanger coil. Refrigerant in the purge tank is condensed by the heat exchanger coil while non-condensable gases remain gaseous.

Air conditioning apparatus

When the temperatures of outdoor heat exchangers 23a and 23b detected by outdoor heat exchanger temperature sensors 57a and 57b become equal to or higher than 5 degrees C. and the sucking superheating degrees of compressors 21a and 21b become equal to or lower than 0 degrees C. while an air conditioning apparatus 1 is performing the reverse defrosting operation, the reverse defrosting operation is stopped and the heating dominant operation is resumed. At this time, the total operating times of the compressors 21a and 21b are reset. The sucking superheating degrees of the compressors 21a and 21b are obtained by subtracting the low pressure saturation temperatures calculated from the sucking pressures of the compressors 21a and 21b, from the temperatures of the refrigerants sucked into the compressors 21a and 21b which temperatures are detected by the sucking temperature sensors 54a and 54b.

An evaporator or a condenser includes a surface on which the operating liquid is arranged. Further, turbulence generators are provided to generate turbulences in the operating liquid located on the operating surface. In the condenser, alternatively or additionally, a laminarizer is present to make the vapor stream laminar provided by the compressor. On the evaporator side, the evaporation efficiency is increased and, on the condenser side, the condenser efficiency is increased, which may be used for a substantial reduction in size without loss of power of these components, in particular for a heat pump for heating a building.

System and method for recovering refrigerant

A refrigerant recovery system includes a first oil separator including a chamber configured to receive refrigerant from an air conditioning system, a heat exchanger disposed within the first oil separator, and a compressor fluidly connected to the chamber and the heat exchanger. A first valve is disposed in a first flow line that is fluidly connected between an inlet of the first oil separator and a source of refrigerant and a second valve is disposed in a second flow line that fluidly connects the compressor and the heat exchanger. A controller is configured to open the first valve to enable refrigerant to pass into the chamber of the first oil separator, open the second valve so that a flow loop for refrigerant is formed between the heat exchanger and the compressor, activate the compressor to heat the refrigerant flowing through the flow loop, and subsequently commence a refrigerant recovery operation.

CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR BLEED DEVICE

The purpose of the present invention is to achieve stable operation when using a low pressure, low GWP refrigerant. In the present invention, a control device (16) is provided with an estimation unit (31), a determination unit (32), and an activation control unit (33). The estimation unit (31) estimates the amount of air entering using a degree of influence of air entering, which represents the ease with which air enters determined by the structure of the chiller, and a variable obtained by a function including pressure as a parameter. The determination unit (32) determines whether a total value for the amount of air entering is greater than or equal to a preset tolerance value. The activation control unit (33) activates a bleed device when the total value of the amount of air entering is equal to or greater than the tolerance value.
