Disclosed is an aircraft including ductwork. The ductwork includes a cabin recirculation vent disposed to draw air from an aircraft cabin. The ductwork includes a riser defining a return conduit disposed to convey air from the cabin recirculation vent. The ductwork includes a thermoelectric heat pump having a first side and a second side, the first side in thermal contact with the return conduit that transfers heat to the second side upon application of an electrical input.
Compressor chiller systems including thermoelectric modules, and corresponding control methods
According to various aspects, exemplary embodiments are disclosed of chiller systems including thermoelectric modules, and corresponding control methods. In an exemplary embodiment, a compressor chiller system generally includes a refrigerant loop having a refrigerant fluid, a compressor connected in the refrigerant loop to compress the refrigerant fluid, and a condenser connected in the refrigerant loop to receive the compressed refrigerant fluid from the compressor and to condense the compressed refrigerant fluid. The system also includes a heat transfer component connected in the refrigerant loop to receive the condensed refrigerant fluid from the condenser, and a coolant loop having a coolant fluid. The heat transfer component is connected in the coolant loop to transfer heat from the coolant fluid to the condensed refrigerant fluid. The system further includes a thermoelectric module connected in the coolant loop. The thermoelectric module is adapted to transfer heat into and/or out of the coolant fluid.
HELMET AND TEMPERATURE REGULATION SYSTEM
A helmet with an outer shell has a buffer disposed inside the outer shell, a first flow channel positioned between a head of a wearer of the helmet and the buffer, and a second flow channel positioned in a groove formed in the buffer or at a portion where the buffer is partially absent. In the helmet, a heating medium containing at least partially a liquid flows through the first flow channel and the second flow channel.
THERMOSTATIC GARMENT BEING HEATED AND COOLED BY POWER SUPPLY
A thermostatic garment being heated and cooled by a power supply and includes a thermostatic garment body. A first heat exchange water pipe network and a second heat exchange water pipe network are arranged on the thermostatic garment body in a laying manner. A thermoelectric cooler, an electric heating sheet, a controller, a power supply, a first water pump, a second water pump, a first heat conducting water tank, and a second heat conducting water tank are arranged outside the thermostatic garment body. The first heat conducting water tank is provided with a first temperature sensor, and the first temperature sensor is electrically connected to an input end of the controller. Output ends of the controller is further electrically connected to the thermoelectric cooler, the electric heating sheet and the water pump respectively. The electric heating sheet is connected to the first heat conducting water tank.
Rail cooling system and method for reducing thermal expansion
A thermal energy removal system is provided to cool a rail of a railway track in a self-powered mode and/or an externally-powered mode. The system comprises a cooling module configured to mount on a side of the rail to remove heat stored inside the rail. The cooling module includes a solid state electrical insulation sandwiched between a plate and a heat sink. The cooling module further includes a first terminal and a second terminal. The first and second terminals to provide an electric energy source based on the heat extracted and harnessed for powering at least one of an electronic circuit, a light source, and a communication device associated with railways infrastructure.
Hybrid vapor compression/thermoelectric heat transport system
A hybrid Vapor Compression (VC) and Thermoelectric (TE) heat transport system is provided that maintains a set point temperature range of a chamber and includes a VC system and a TE system. The VC system includes a compressor, a condenser-evaporator connected to the compressor, a first valve connecting the compressor to an evaporator-condenser, and a second valve connecting the evaporator-condenser to a thermal expansion valve. The TE system includes TE modules, a first heat exchanger thermally connected with a first side of the TE modules which connects the first valve and the second valve, and a second heat exchanger thermally connected with a second side of the TE modules which connects the first valve and the second valve. In this way, the VC system and the TE system can be operated individually, in series, or in parallel to increase the efficiency of the hybrid VC and TE heat transport system.

The present invention provides a refrigerating/heating device that efficiently refrigerates and heats while suppressing device costs. This refrigerating/heating device for efficiently heating and refrigerating is provided with: a refrigeration chamber; a Peltier-type cooler for supplying cold air to inside the refrigeration chamber; a heat radiation member for radiating Peltier heat; fans for air-cooling the heat radiation member; an exhaust duct through which waste heat from the fans and the heat radiation member passes; and an installation part to which a subject to be heated can be installed. The subject to be heated is installed in the waste heat flow path of the exhaust duct and heated.

Some embodiments of the invention relate to a laser tracker for progressive tracking of a reflective target and for determining the distance to the target having a distance measuring unit, which is designed as an interferometer, for determining a distance change to the target by means of interferometry, a laser beam source for generating measuring radiation for the interferometer, a base, which defines a standing axis, a beam guiding unit for emitting the measuring radiation and for receiving at least a part of the measuring radiation reflected on the target, wherein the beam guiding unit is pivotable by a motor about the standing axis and an inclination axis, which is essentially orthogonal in relation to the standing axis, in relation to the base, and an angle measuring functionality for determining an alignment of the beam guiding unit in relation to the base.
THERMO-ELECTRIC HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS
The disclosure is directed to an energy efficient thermal protection assembly. The thermal protection assembly can comprise three or more thermoelectric unit layers capable of active use of the Peltier effect; and at least one capacitance spacer block suitable for storing heat and providing a delayed thermal reaction time of the assembly. The capacitance spacer block is thermally connected between the thermoelectric unit layers. The present disclosure further relates to a thermoelectric transport and storage devices for transporting or storing temperature sensitive goods, for example, vaccines, chemicals, biologicals, and other temperature sensitive goods. The transport or storage device can be configured and provide on-board energy storage for sustaining, for multiple days, at a constant-temperature, with an acceptable temperature variation band.
