REVOLVING ICE MAKER
An ice maker for freezing water into ice pieces, the ice maker including an elongated cage having a central revolving axis about which the elongated cage revolves. The elongated cage having a first end, a second end and at least one elongated slot extending between the first end and the second end. An ice tray is configured to be received in the at least one elongated slot. The ice tray includes a plurality of cavities for receiving water to be frozen into ice pieces. A motor is coupled to the elongated cage for revolving the elongated cage about the central revolving axis. A controller is connected to the motor for controlling the revolving of the elongated cage about the central revolving axis.
VACUUM INSULATED DOOR STRUCTURE FOR AN APPLIANCE INCORPORATING A DISPENSER STRUCTURE
A door panel for a refrigerating appliance includes an inner liner. An outer wrapper is attached to the inner liner and defines an insulating structure with an insulating cavity disposed therein. An insulating material is defined within the insulating cavity. A dispenser structure is defined within a central portion of the inner liner and the outer wrapper. The dispenser structure defines an insulated dispenser portion therein. A dispenser conduit extends from an interior area disposed above the dispenser structure to an external dispensing cavity and passing through the insulated dispenser portion.
ICE MAKER AND REFRIGERATOR
An ice maker of a refrigerator includes a tray assembly having an upper tray that defines upper portions of a plurality of ice making chambers. Each of the plurality of ice making chambers is configured to receive water and generate an ice piece. The tray assembly also includes a lower tray that is located vertically below the upper tray, that is configured to rotate relative to the upper tray, and that defines lower portions of the plurality of ice making chambers, wherein at least one of the upper tray or the lower tray comprises a flexible tray made of a flexible material. Additionally, a case is configured to accommodate the flexible tray to restrict a deformation of the flexible tray. A heater that is located between the case and the flexible tray is configured to supply heat to the plurality of ice making chambers through the flexible tray.
Refrigerator appliance having a removable ice storage bin
A refrigerator appliance is provided, as provided herein, include a cabinet, a door, and an ice bin. The ice bin may be removably received within a chilled chamber and include a bin body and a non-vertical auger. The bin body may define a storage volume to receive ice therein and a dispenser opening in fluid communication with the storage volume. The non-vertical auger may include a rotation shaft extending along a rotation axis and an auger blade coiled about the rotation shaft. The auger blade may define an expanding radius along the rotation axis from a first blade end to a second blade end.
ICE MAKER FOR REFRIGERATOR
An ice maker includes an upper assembly including a plurality of hemispherical upper chambers, a lower assembly disposed below and pivotably coupled relative to the upper assembly, wherein the lower assembly includes a plurality of hemispherical lower chambers, a driver configured to pivot the lower assembly, a pair of rotating parts disposed at both sides of the lower assembly, a first pivoting arm pivotally mounted on one of the rotating parts, a second pivoting arm pivotally mounted on the other of the rotating parts and connected to the driver, a connection shaft connecting the first pivoting arm to the second pivoting arm, a first elastic member having one end connected to the first pivoting arm and the other end connected to the lower assembly, and a second elastic member having one end connected to the second pivoting arm and the other end connected to the lower assembly.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator may include an ice container, a discharge unit, which is provided at the ice container and has an outlet through which ice cubes are discharged, an ice discharging unit, which is provided in the ice container in a manner of rotatable in forward and reverse directions so as to selectively discharge ice cubes, which move thereinto by their own weight, in an uncrushed state or a crushed state, a first ice agglomeration blocking member, which is disposed over the ice discharging unit and is rotated by rotation of the ice discharging unit, and a second ice agglomeration blocking member, which is disposed over the ice discharging unit and is rotated by rotation of the first ice agglomeration blocking member, and which is coupled at a portion thereof to the first ice agglomeration blocking member and at another portion thereof to the ice container.
ICE-MAKING DEVICE AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
An ice making device for a refrigerator including a cold air generation system and a circulation unit. An ice maker is disposed within an ice-making room and configured to produce ice. The cold air generation system can supply cold air to the ice-making room in the ice making device. A circulation unit is disposed within the ice-making room to drive cold air into the ice-making room. The circulation unit may include a fan motor and an air guide.
Ice maker with freezing aid
An ice maker for fitting into a cooling or freezing appliance includes an ice-making tray which forms a plurality of ice-piece-producing cavities for producing one ice piece each. An air channel is formed above the ice-making tray, which serves to guide a cold air stream. There is provided a heat-dissipating structure including a metal material and having a plurality of heat-dissipating pins, each of which, in a freezing phase, projects from above, with a pin tip leading, into one of the ice-piece-producing cavities. In some embodiments, the heat-dissipating pins extend into and through the upper air channel, so that the cold air flowing in the air channel flows around shaft portions of the heat-dissipating pins situated inside the air channel. When the ice-piece-producing cavities are filled with water, the heat-dissipating pins immersed in the water ensure improved dissipation of thermal energy from the water, which accelerates freezing.
REFRIGERATOR
An ice making device in a refrigerator including light sensors to detect an ice level in the ice bucket. An ice level sensing unit is positioned lower than an upper edge of the ice bucket and thus can detect ice level even when the ice bucket is not completely full. The ice level sensing unit includes one or more pairs of light emitting sensor and light receiving sensor. When ice in the ice bucket accumulates to a detectable level, the amount of light emitted from the light emitting sensor and received by the light receiving sensor can be blocked accordingly.
ICEMAKER ASSEMBLY HAVING A PLUNGER
A stopper of an ice bucket may be for promptly stopping withdrawal of ice when a command for withdrawal of ice from the ice bucket is stopped. The stopper may be configured such that a plunger enters a rotation trajectory of a blade, at a time when the plunger needs to be moved so as to promptly stop the blade by the plunger.
