The invention relates to a cool-box comprising a refrigerator attachment, said cool-box operating without power or ice. The cool-box is formed by a preferably plastic casing to which a metal capsule is anchored that contains a cryogenic liquid, such as liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen, acting as a liquid coolant. The capsule is removably attached to the casing of the cool-box using anchors, and the capsule is equipped with a valve for the injection-refilling of liquid coolant and an exhaust relief valve. The cool-box also comprises an insulating lid and connecting pipes made from thermally conductive sheet metal, which join the capsule to the interior of the casing, thereby transferring cold.

PORTABLE INSTANT COOLING SYSTEM WITH CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE OBTAINED THROUGH TIMED-RELEASE LIQUID OR GASEOUS CO2 COOLANT FOR GENERAL REFRIGERATION USE IN MOBILE AND STATIONARY CONTAINERS

Standalone and self-contained cooling systems using compressed liquid and/or gas CO.sub.2 containers positioned in an insulated or non-insulated vessel and consisting of a specially designed unit where the containers are vertically positioned in an upright or upside-down position.

The liquid and/or gas CO.sub.2 coolant is then released into capillary tube(s) embedded into a heat transfer plate or heat exchanger thus leveraging the CO.sub.2 coolant properties.

The temperature is controlled by a metering CO.sub.2 releasing system encompassing an electronic control device which can be operated remotely and/or via a touch screen and which sends alerts when pre-defined thresholds are exceeded.

The invention's metering CO.sub.2 releasing system may be triggered by an electronic or a thermostatic valve or may be triggered manually or by an electronic solenoid. The invention's cooling system also encompasses check valves, which avoid liquid and/or gas CO.sub.2 from escaping when removing or replacing CO.sub.2 containers individually.

A system for providing upkeep and maintenance to piping including in improved pipe freezing apparatus. In a specific embodiment, the system is quite useful to replace worn valves that may require digging underground to expose enough of the pipe system. Novel tools for removing the valve are additionally provided by the present invention. The preferred embodiment further improves upon job safety when using CO.sub.2 (dry ice) evaporating and venting the chamber as a gas displacing oxygen. The novel design of the pipe freezing apparatus described herein can be installed by hand without tools. Said design further obviates a need for a specifically designed vent for the pipe freezing apparatus.

Reusable cryogenic carrying case for biological materials
10001313 · 2018-06-19 · ·

A compact, mobile communicating carrying case for the transport and storage of temperature-sensitive materials. The carrying case regulates to temperature presets that can be altered real time directly or remotely. Cryogenic temperature control is provided by use of a low boiling point liquid coolant, like liquid nitrogen or air that accelerates in a multicore cooling system. A microprocessor-controlled double function solenoid acting as a valve and sensor, temperature sensors, and several mechanical one way release valves regulate the cooling system. Peripheral integrated modules collect, send, receive and display information on the case and on smart devices about location, core temperature, the carrier and the nature of the enclosed material. The carrying case provides a compact laser-etched sterile working area, in addition to a set of basic instruments, needed for procedures using the biological materials.
