Super insulating nano-spheres for appliance insulation and method for creating a super insulating nano-sphere material
An insulating structure for an appliance includes an outer layer and an inner layer, wherein an insulating cavity is defined therebetween. A plurality of hollow nano-spheres are disposed within the insulating cavity, wherein each of the hollow nano-spheres includes a diameter in the range of from approximately 50 nanometers to approximately 1000 nanometers and has a wall that defines the internal space, and wherein the wall of each hollow nano-sphere has a thickness that is in a range of from approximately 0.5 nanometers to approximately 100 nanometers. A fill material is disposed in the insulating cavity and wherein the fill material is disposed in the space defined between the plurality of hollow nano-spheres, and wherein the fill material includes at least one of powdered silica, granulated silica, other silica material, aerogel and insulating gas.
Door gasket assembly for a refrigerated appliance
An icemaker for a refrigerator appliance is provided. The icemaker includes an icemaker box selectively closeable by a door. An outer gasket is positioned about an inner edge of the door. A sealing gasket is positioned around a center portion of the door. A plurality of protrusions extend from a box rim of the icemaker box. A liner is aligned with and spaced apart from the box rim. A first gasket and a second gasket are positioned between the box rim and the liner.
REFRIGERATOR
The present invention provides a refrigerator, comprising a cabinet and a liner disposed in the cabinet, the cabinet and the liner defining a foaming space, wherein the refrigerator further comprises a material injecting device at least partially located in the foaming space, the material injecting device is provided with a material injecting port and a material dispensing port, the material injecting device is provided with a section of inclined portion at an end adjacent to the material injecting port, and a diameter of an outer circumference of the inclined portion gradually decreases from an end close to the material injecting port to the other end far away from the material injecting port. In the refrigerator according to the present invention, the material injecting device provides a certain mounting space for a vacuum VIP board.
Packaging with Insulative Walls Having Condensation Wicking Layer and Bubble Foil Insulation Layer
A packaging may include at least one insulating wall and at least one cooling device embedded into the at least one wall. A method of forming at least one insulating wall of a package may include placing a cooling device into a form, closing the form, injecting a liquid form of an expansive foam, and curing the foam.
MODULAR BOX ASSEMBLY
A modular box assembly includes a box with side panels defining a box cavity, a first thermal liner positioned within the box cavity, the first thermal liner including a first insulation batt disposed between sheets, the first thermal liner defining three first liner panels, at least one box side panel being covered by a first liner panel, and a second thermal liner positioned within the box cavity, the second thermal liner including a second insulation batt disposed between sheets, the second thermal liner defining three second liner panels. At least one other of the side box panels is covered by a second liner panel. The bottom box panel is covered by either a first liner panel not covering any side box panel or a second liner panel not covering any side box panel. Each insulation batt can be formed from a mixture of thermoplastic binder fibers and reinforcement fibers.
REFRIGERATOR DOOR WITH REPLACEABLE DOOR PANEL
The present invention provides a refrigerator door with a replaceable door panel, comprising: a door body and a decorative door panel detachably connected to the door body; a rotary latch and a limiting member are disposed on the door body; a rear side of the decorative door panel facing towards the door body comprises a second limiting member and a lock post wherein when the decorative door panel is assembled on a front side of the door body, the rotary latch and the lock post snap-fit each other to limit a displacement of the decorative door panel in an up-down direction; the first limiting member cooperates with the second limiting member to limit a displacement of the decorative door panel in a front-rear direction.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes an inner case configured to accommodate a refrigerated item therein, an outer case configured to surround the inner case, a heat insulator configured to be at least partially disposed between the inner case and the outer case, and a reinforcing member disposed between the inner case and the outer case to support the outer case and having a fastening part to couple the refrigerator with another refrigerator installed adjacent to the refrigerator by using a connection member, and the fastening part coupled to the connection member to enable alignment between the refrigerator and the another refrigerator.
COLLAPSIBLE PATTERN
An insulating structure for an appliance including a first panel, a second panel coupled to the first panel, wherein the first and second panels define a cavity, an insulation material disposed within the cavity, at least one central flattening portion of the first and second panels, the at least one central flattening portion defining an enlarged area of the cavity in a rest state and having deflection control features, and structural reinforcements defined by the deflection control features of the at least one central flattening portion.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a cabinet, a door configured to open/close the cabinet, an outer plate defining a front surface of the door and having an opening formed therein to pass through the door, a door liner defining a rear surface of the door, lighting members configured to illuminate storage spaces of the door and the cabinet, a transparent panel assembly mounted to shield the opening and allowing the storage spaces to be selectively seen according to an ON/OFF state of the lighting members, an insulator filled between the outer plate and the door liner, and a blocking part arranged inside the door along a periphery of the transparent panel assembly and detachably coupled to a peripheral surface of the transparent panel assembly to fix the transparent panel assembly.
