Air purifier for refrigerator
A refrigerator and an air purifier for a refrigerator are provided. The air purifier may include a case configured to be mounted on an upper surface of a cabinet of a refrigerator and in which inlet holes and an outlet hole are formed, a plurality of fan motor assemblies provided inside of the case to force a flow of air, a plurality of filter assemblies mounted in the case to partition a space between the inlet holes and the plurality of fan motor assemblies and purify suctioned air, a controller that controls driving of the plurality of fan motor assemblies, and a gas sensor connected to the controller to detect harmful gas in a kitchen space. The controller may control driving of the plurality of fan motor assemblies through detection of the harmful gas by the gas sensor.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL RADIO FREQUENCY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UV STERILIZATION, AIR PURIFICATION, AND DEFROST OPERATIONS
Example systems have a defrost system that can receive a first RF signal at a first frequency to defrost a load. An air treatment device can receive a second RF signal at a second frequency and perform an air treatment process. An RF signal source has a power output, and a switching arrangement selectively electrically connects the defrost system and the first air treatment device to the power output of the RF signal source. A controller can electrically connect one of the defrost system and the first air treatment device to the power output of the RF signal source. When the defrost system is electrically connected, the RF signal source outputs the first RF signal at the first frequency, and when the first air treatment device is electrically connected, the RF signal source outputs the second RF signal at the second frequency.
Vacuum insulator, method of manufacturing the same and refrigerator having the same
In an insulator including an adsorbent configured to adsorb gas, an initial adsorption performance of the remaining gas inside the insulator using the adsorbent and a long-term adsorption performance of gas introduced into the insulator from the outside are improved so that the short-term performance and the long-term performance of the insulator can be simultaneously improved. An adsorbent that is a first part of an adsorbent included in a vacuum insulator is accommodated in a first space formed with an inside surface of a container, and an adsorbent that is a second part of the adsorbent is dispersed into a second space formed with an inside surface of an outer envelope and an outside surface of the container.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR FILTERING AIR TO AND FROM A REFRIGERATED COMPARTMENT OF A REFRIGERATION APPLIANCE
A refrigerator includes a liner having an opening defining an inner perimeter therein, a frame coupled with the liner around the inner perimeter and recessed from the opening, and a cover. The cover is coupled with the frame and has a major surface positioned generally flush with a portion the liner surrounding the opening. The cover defines an outer perimeter spaced apart from the inner perimeter of the opening with a portion of the frame at least partially enclosing a channel extending between the outer perimeter of the cover and the inner perimeter of the opening. The assembly further includes at least one light source directed into the channel and illuminating a portion of the frame and an air filter disposed at least partially within the cover positioned behind the major surface.
Apparatus, method, and system for filtering air to and from a refrigerated compartment of a refrigeration appliance
An apparatus, method, or system for filtered air in an interior compartment of a refrigerator. An opening in a wall of the interior liner of the refrigerator defines a channel framing a removable filter cover that tends to be at or near flush with that wall. The filter is positioned behind the cover. The space between the wall opening and the cover functions to provide both air intake into the filter and access lighting around the filter cover.
Refrigerator comprising a humidity-controlled crisper
Refrigerator (1) comprising a body (2) wherein foods and beverages are placed, a crisper (3) disposed inside the body (2), at least one drawer (4) that is disposed into the crisper (3) and wherein fruits and vegetables are placed, a lower cover (5) that covers the upper side of the container (3), an upper cover (6) disposed over the lower cover (5) such that a gap remains therebetween, an air blowing opening (A) that is arranged on the body (2) and that enables cold air to be blown into the crisper (3), a separator (10) that prevents the air blown from the upper vent hole (8) and the lower vent hole (9) from being mixed together and a guiding member (11) that enables the air blown from the lower vent holes (9) to be directed towards the side walls of the crisper (3).
Crisper assembly with slide out shelf
A refrigerator appliance includes a storage compartment having a crisper assembly disposed therein. The crisper assembly includes a drawer, a lid, and a shelf. The lid is fixed to the storage compartment and remains stationary therewith. The drawer and the shelf are each configured to be extended or retracted relative to the storage compartment and are provided in a stacked arrangement. The lid seals the drawer when the drawer is in the retracted position.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a storage compartment having a front opening and an air sanitation device mounted on a top wall of the storage compartment. The air sanitation device includes: a housing, an air channel located in the housing, a fan, and an air detection device and/or an air purification device located in the air channel. The housing includes a front wall facing the front opening, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a pair of side walls. The air channel includes an air inlet and an air outlet. The fan is configured to force air to enter the air channel from the air inlet, and then be discharged out from the air outlet. The air inlet is located on at least one of the side walls, and the air outlet is located on the rear wall.
Air sanitation device for refrigerator and refrigerator
A refrigerator has an air sanitation device. The air sanitation device includes: a housing; an air channel located in the housing and having an air inlet and an air outlet; a fan located in the air channel, to force air to enter the air channel from the air inlet, and then be discharged out of the air channel from the air outlet; and an air detection device and/or an air purification device located between the air inlet and an inlet of the fan.
