REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes an ice-making unit disposed in the door and can make ice through direct cooling by a refrigerant without using cold air flow. A cold air generation system operates to circulate the refrigerant for supplying a cold air flow for the refrigerator. A refrigerant pipe is installed in the refrigerator main body to branch off some refrigerant from the cold air generation system. An ice-making pipe is installed within the ice-making unit and receives the refrigerant from the refrigerant pipe. Water freezes into ice through heat transfer between the ice-making unit and the ice-making pipe containing refrigerant. A soft pipe is disposed around a hinge shaft of the refrigerator main body and the door and configured to interconnect the ice-making pipe and the refrigerant pipe in a twistable manner.
DOOR DRIVING SYSTEM AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are a refrigerator includes a housing, a door rotatably installed at the housing using a hinge, and a door driving system to open or close the housing using the door. The door driving system includes a motor to output power to open or close the door, a sun gear linked with the motor, a planetary gear linked with the sun gear, and provided to be rotated about an axis thereof and to revolve, an internal gear linked with the planetary gear and configured to transfer power generated by the motor to the hinge, and a carrier configured to be rotated linked with the planetary gear and selectively support the planetary gear to be rotated about the axis thereof. When the planetary gear is rotated about the axis thereof, the power of the motor is transferred to the internal gear and thus the door is automatically opened or closed.
Refrigerator
Provided is a refrigerator including a cabinet having a storage compartment provided therein, a main door pivotably mounted at the cabinet for opening and closing the storage compartment, an auxiliary storage compartment mounted at a rear of the main door, and an auxiliary door pivotably mounted over a front of the main door for opening and closing the auxiliary storage compartment. A first hinge bracket may be fixed to an upper end of the cabinet, the first hinge bracket including a rotation shaft that is coupled to an upper portion of the main door. A second hinge bracket may be fixed to an upper portion of the sub door, the second hinge bracket including a rotation shaft that is coupled to the upper portion of the main door. The rotation shaft of the second hinge bracket may be positioned more forward than the rotation shaft of the first hinge bracket.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes: a cabinet defining a storage space, a door configured to open and close the storage space, and a step difference adjustment member disposed at a rear surface of the door. The step difference adjustment member comprises (i) a stopper that contacts, based on the door being closed, a front surface of the cabinet and (ii) a mounting portion that defines an accommodation space into which the stopper is inserted, and the stopper is configured to move with respect to the mounting portion to thereby vary a protruding length of the stopper from the mounting portion.
Attachment arrangement for vacuum insulated door
A refrigerator includes an insulated cabinet structure and a cooling system. A door assembly includes a perimeter structure that is movably mounted to the insulated cabinet structure and an outer door that is movably mounted to the perimeter structure whereby the outer door can be moved between open and closed positions relative to the perimeter structure when the perimeter structure is in its closed position The outer door may comprise a vacuum insulated structure including porous core material disposed in a cavity of the outer door.
Double cabinet vacuum insulated refrigerator with a structural foamed mullion
An insulation system for an appliance includes a first vacuum insulated structure having a first set of sidewalls that define a first refrigerating compartment, a second vacuum insulated structure having a second set of sidewalls that define a second refrigerating compartment and a medial insulation structure having a rigid perimeter wall. The rigid perimeter wall includes a front portion that defines at least one hinge support adapted to support an appliance door. The rigid perimeter wall defines an insulating cavity that is filled with an insulating material. The first vacuum insulated structure engages a first edge of the perimeter wall and the second vacuum insulated structure engages a second edge of the perimeter wall.
Refrigerator with hinge assembly having an external hinge pin
A refrigerator is provided herein including a cabinet and a door. At least one hinge assembly is configured to hinge the door to the cabinet. The at least one hinge assembly includes a mounting block coupled to the door, a hinge bracket coupled to the cabinet, and a hinge pin disposed between the mounting block and the hinge bracket and coupled thereto such that the entirety of the hinge pin is external to the door.
Hinge assembly for a refrigerator appliance
A hinge assembly for rotatably mounting an appliance door to a cabinet of an appliance includes a lower cam member coupled to a hinge support bracket and an upper cam member coupled to the appliance door. A pin assembly passes through the upper and lower cam members and is coupled to the hinge support bracket such that it defines an axis of rotation. The upper and lower cam members are configured to engage each other to urge the appliance door toward the closed position. The engagement may be a result of the weight of the door and the hinge assembly may further include a vertically oriented spring for assisting in the downward force of upper cam member.
ACCESS DOOR
An access door (1) for application in a refrigerated cabinet comprises a multi-walled plastic door construction of a sheet-like first wall (10) and a plane-parallel second wall (20). The walls each comprise all around an edge part (12,22) with which the walls are connected. One of the two walls has a central part (21) which lies offset relative to the edge part (22) and wherein the central part and the edge part are connected by a bridge part (23a,23b). The door construction has a mounting section (25) for mounting an adjusting member thereon in order to enable adjustment of the door construction in the refrigerated cabinet between a position closing the refrigerated cabinet and an open position. The bridge part (23a,23b) comprises a primary bridge part section (23a) which is adjacent to the mounting section (25) and extends at a first angle from the edge part and a secondary bridge part section (23b) which extends at a second angle from the edge part, wherein the second angle is smaller than the first angle.
