An insulated icemaking compartment is provided in the fresh food compartment of a bottom mount refrigerator. The icemaking compartment may be integrally fowled with the liner of the fresh food compartment, or alternatively, may be modular for installation anywhere in the fresh food compartment. A removable bin assembly with a front cover normally seals the icemaking compartment to maintain the temperature in the compartment. A cold air duct formed in the rear wall of the refrigerator supplies cold air from the freezer compartment to the icemaking compartment. A return air duct directs a portion of the air from the icemaking compartment back to the freezer compartment. An air vent with a damper in the icemaking compartment directs another portion of air into the fresh food compartment.

Disclosed is a refrigerator including a cabinet, a storage compartment provided in the cabinet to form a single space in which a storage item is stored, a single door for opening or closing the space formed by the storage compartment, a first cold air supply duct and a second cold air supply duct provided respectively on left and right sides of the single storage compartment, the first cold air supply duct and the second cold air supply duct supplying different amounts of cold air, and a storage unit for being pushed into or pulled from the storage compartment in a front-and-rear direction along with the door.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM

A temperature control system is used for controlling a temperature of a control target to a target temperature that changes with lapse of time. The system includes: a first adjustment apparatus that includes a first tank that stores a first heat transfer medium, adjusts the temperature of the first heat transfer medium to a first set temperature, and supplies the temperature-adjusted first heat transfer medium; a first circulation circuit through which the first heat transfer medium flows from the first adjustment apparatus to a first flow-through path and returns to the first adjustment apparatus; an adjustment section that adjusts an amount of heat supplied from the first flow-through path to the control target; a memory that stores a relation between the lapse of time and the target temperature; and a controller.

REFRIGERATOR MULLION ASSEMBLY WITH ANTI-CONDENSATION FEATURES

A refrigerator includes a storage compartment and a mullion assembly pivotally coupled to one of a first door and a second door. The mullion assembly includes a cavity with an insulating member disposed therein. One or more sensor assemblies are coupled to the mullion assembly and configured to collect data sufficient to calculate a dew point temperature of the mullion assembly and an actual temperature of the mullion assembly. A heating element is coupled to the mullion assembly and is selectively activated by a controller based on information provided from the one or more sensor assemblies. The heating element is powered using a modulated power level that is inversely proportionate to the difference in temperature between the mullion assembly and the calculated dew point.
