Method for Obtaining Clean Drinking Water from Dewatered Biological Products and a Device for Dewatering Such Products
20230212034 · 2023-07-06 ·

A method for obtaining pure drinking water from dewatered biological products is described. The process is carried out in a hermetic dewatering chamber isolated from the ambient atmosphere and in parallel with a process during which dried products are placed on drying trays. All the process parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and appropriate pressure inside the chamber, are controlled. The vapor generated during the product dewatering process, released from the products, is continuously removed from the dewatering chamber through the upper opening, exits through the outflow channel, and enters through the condenser. The process of obtaining clean drinking water is carried out outside the chamber and is conducted in several stages: vapor passes through disinfectant grids, vapor flows to a condenser cooled with ice water, and the vapor condenses on densely arranged lamellas. The condensate is then pumped to a discharge tub.

Battery plate grid dryer system and method

A system for drying a battery plate grid is disclosed. The system includes a pair of heated rollers disposed adjacent to one another, and a conveyor belt arranged to transfer the battery plate grids toward the heated rollers, such that the battery plate grid passes between, and comes in contact with, each of the heated rollers. The system includes a convection oven arranged to circulate convection heat around the battery plate grid when the battery plate grid completes transfer through the heated rollers.

The invention relates to a method for drying a quantity of moulding powder, such as starch, used in a confectionery moulding process to a desired moisture content. The quantity of moulding powder is divided into at least a first fraction and a second fraction, wherein the first fraction is dried to a first moisture content and the second fraction is dried to or remains at a second moisture content, the first moisture content being lower than the second moisture content, wherein at least a portion of the dried first fraction and at least a portion of the second fraction are combined in order to obtain a resulting moulding powder having the desired moisture content. Further, the invention relates to a system for carrying out the method.

Partial vacuum drying system and method

A material drying system provides for consistent and efficient drying of organic materials, such as cannabis. In certain embodiments, a partial vacuum drying system is used to dry the materials and includes a container, a heating system, a depressurization system, and a control system. Air in the container is heated to within a range of temperatures and a low vacuum is applied to assist with evaporation. In addition, the volume flow rate of air pulled out of the container is monitored and maintained at a predetermined rate, which pulls moisture away from the materials so as to prevent degradation of the materials during the drying process while also reducing drying time. A relatively high air volume flow rate is maintained at low pressure by adjusting the area of an opening in the chamber.

Apparatus and method for developing freeze drying protocols using small batches of product

A method of monitoring and controlling a freeze drying process in a freeze drying apparatus having walls, shelves and a number of vials or trays positioned on different areas of the shelves and containing product to be freeze dried. One or more vials or trays are selected that are representative of the positions of all of the vials or trays in different areas of the shelves. One or more heat flux sensors are positioned between the selected vials or trays and adjacent portions of the walls and/or shelves. The heat transfer between the selected vials or trays and the adjacent wall or shelf portions is measured during the freezing and drying stages of the freeze drying process.
