A method for drying biomass fuel, including: 1) collecting and cutting raw biomass fuel into fragments; mechanically squeezing and dehydrating the fragments to yield biomass fuel in the form of filter cake; 2) mashing and loosening the biomass fuel in the form of filter cake; and loading the biomass fuel onto charging carriages of fuel transport vehicles; 3) connecting tails of the fuel transport vehicles and the carrier vehicle of drying equipment; moving the movable drying room of the carrier vehicle of drying equipment onto the fuel transport vehicles; 4) convectively drying the biomass fuel in the charging carriages; 5) exhausting air in the movable drying room following convective drying; and 6) moving the movable drying room to cover and seal the charging carriages of a next fuel transport vehicle following radiant drying. A mobile device for drying biomass fuel is also provided.

The present invention features a drying system which may include a solar tower, a shredder, and an input conveyor for transporting the organic matter to conveyors positioned in a cascading configuration. The system may further include sensors for collecting information, and a control system for receiving the information to determine a speed of the conveyors. The system may further include an output conveyor for transporting the organic matter from the conveyors to a storage. The system may further include water condensers to reclaim water evaporated from the organic matter to be stored and repurposed. The system may further include a solar power system for converting sunlight into power for the system. Sunlight may cause a thermal gradient within the solar tower, causing air in an upper portion to be hotter than air in a lower portion.

A convective hood for transverse installation in a system for continuous heat treatment of moving strip material comprises blowing nozzles for blowing hot gas against the moving strip in an arrangement transverse to the direction of movement of the strip material; and a first transverse suction zone for the suction of hot gas. The first transverse suction zone comprises a first transverse section and a second transverse section. The first transverse section and the second transverse section are provided at the same side downstream or upstream of the movement of the strip material from the blowing nozzles when the convective hood is installed in a system for continuous heat treatment of moving strip material. The second transverse section is provided along the line for movement of the continuous strip material between the first transverse section and the blowing nozzles. The first transverse section comprises suction openings for suction of hot gas directly from outside the convective hood into the convective hood; the suction openings being in closed gas flow connection to a first manifold for recirculation of at least part of this hot gas to the blowing nozzles for blowing the hot gas onto the continuous strip material. The second transverse section comprises suction openings for suction of hot gas directly from outside the convective hood into the convective hood; the suction openings being in closed gas flow connection to a second manifold for exhausting 100% of this hot gas outside of the convective hood.

Heating units are arranged so as to face a printing face of the web paper between the two first and second turning rollers, between the two third and fourth turning rollers, and between the fourth turning roller and the printing face contact roller individually. Such arrangement can achieve a compact drying mechanism. The heating units each directly heat inks on the printing face, and thus do not overheat the web paper. Moreover, the heating units are not directed upward. This avoids contact of the web paper to a front side face of each of the heating units when the web paper slackens.

A system according to the present invention provides a radiant conveyor drying system and method of operation. The radiant conveyor drying system generally comprises an input assembly, a drying assembly and an exit assembly mechanically fixed to one another. The drying assembly comprising at least one drying unit in communication with one another to provide for passage of product between the respective drying units and the input assembly and the exit assembly. The drying unit comprising a conveyor belt and a drying unit heating assembly. The drying unit heating assembly comprising a plenum and a heating chamber. The drying unit further comprising a burning unit in communication with the heating chamber to provide for radiant heat to contact the product traveling on the conveyor through the drying unit. The drying unit further comprising a blower fan in communication with the plenum to provide for convective air advancing from the plenum, over and through the radiant heat, to the product. Wherein the radiant heat is disbursed throughout the product. A first embodiment of the invention controlling hear generated by the burning unit of each respective drying unit. A second embodiment of the invention controlling heat generated by the burning unit and rate of the conveyor of each respective drying unit. A method of operation of the radiant conveyor drying system is described.
