Apparatus to process grain received from a dryer
A grain tower, including a silo; a false bottom including alternating upward slanted portions and downward slanted portions; a plurality of ventilation openings adapted to allow air to pass through, but not grain to pass through; and a plurality of extraction openings adapted to extract grain from the silo.
Dosing apparatus
The present invention relates to a dosing apparatus for dosing a good, in particular a good to be dried such as a fermentation substrate or dung, comprising a conveyor for conveying a good to be dried in a conveying direction, wherein the good to be dried may be fed onto the conveyor by a feeding system and wherein the conveyor may deliver the good to be dried to a downstream unit such as a drying apparatus, and a control unit designed to control a conveying speed of the conveyor, wherein the conveyor is pivotally arranged about a vertical swivel axis, characterized in that the control unit is arranged and designed to control an oscillating movement, preferably a speed, in particular an angular speed, and/or a frequency of the oscillating movement, of the conveyor about the swivel axis.
ATOMIZING SPRAY DRYER
An atomizing spray dryer employs one or more stages defined by ultrasonic transducers in close proximity to a liquid feed opening forming a path of an atomization flow for producing uniform droplets from a close tolerance with the transducer. The atomization flow exits a gap between the transducer and an outer edge of the opening, such that the passed liquid is responsive to an oscillation of the transducer for forming the droplets. A conical or other suitably shaped transducer engages a substantially round liquid feed opening. Subsequent stages may include a circular, ring, or other suitable shape aligned to receive the atomization flow from a circumference of the conical base, or may also take any suitable shape, preferably to receive droplets directed by the first stage.
BIOMASS DEHYDRATION SYSTEM
Various implementations include a biomass dehydration system including a wet biomass chamber containing wet biomass, a belt or chain defining one or more cavities, two or more pulleys including a drive pulley that the belt or chain extend around and that are configured such that the cavities are disposable within the wet biomass chamber as the belt or chain moves along the pulleys to cause wet biomass to enter the cavities, and a drying chamber for dehydrating wet biomass disposed in the cavities into solid pellets. The drive pulley engages the belt or chain and causes the belt or chain to move around the pulleys. At least a portion of the belt or chain extends from the wet biomass chamber through the drying chamber. One of the pulleys includes one or more ejection protrusions for engaging the cavities and ejecting solid pellets from the cavities.
Device for drying wood
The invention relates to a device for drying wood, comprising: a container (1) for accommodating the wood (2) and a plate (4, 4′, 4″) forming a wall (3) of the container (1, 1′, 1″, 1″), wherein the plate (4) can be heated and wood (2) at least partially lies against the plate (4).
PROCESS FOR LYOPHILISING A PRODUCT
The present invention relates to a process for lyophilising a product (3), comprising the steps of providing a bulk product (3) loading system in the form of a bag (1), the bag (1) having an interior and an exterior defined by a flexible wall, the bag (1) further comprising a filling port (5) providing access to the interior of the bag (1), filling a product (3) having a first moisture content into the interior of the bag (1) via the filling port (5), and exposing the product (3) in the interior of the bag (1) to a lyophilisation cycle such that the moisture content of the product (3) is reduced from the first moisture content to a second, lower, moisture content.
WOOD PROCESSING OVEN AND METHOD
Systems and methods for treating wood and wood products, including a structure defining a wood treating zone, an air heating zone, a heated air supply zone, and a cooled air return zone. Heating units feed conduits defining one or more heat transfer surfaces and an indirect heat exchange substructure. The heated air supply zone includes left and right heated air plenums, and the cooled air return zone includes a return duct, all internal of the wood treating zone. A movable cart moves spaced apart, stacked wood products into and out of the wood heating zone. The cart and wood thereon fit closely within but do not touch the wood treating zone. An air blower internal of the heated air supply zone and in fluid communication with the air heating zone and the heated air supply zone recirculates air. An exhaust blower vents some of the cooled air.
Coand{hacek over (a)}-effect vegetable material dryer
A cylindrical drum having a plurality of vanes which extend radially into the drum and extend axially substantially the length of the drum rotates about its axis such that the plurality of vanes convey vegetable material from a lowest point in the interior of the drum to a highest point in the interior of the drum, there, to drop the vegetable matter downward within the interior of the drum. A plenum feeds air through a nozzle opening in a rectangular slot extending in its longest dimension substantially the length of the drum. The plenum and nozzle being housed to form a Coand{hacek over (a)}-effect nozzle body having a tear-shaped housing. Two Coand{hacek over (a)} surfaces are situated in opposed relation terminating at the nozzle. The Coand{hacek over (a)} surfaces to guide air into a combined flow. A hopper plate cooperates with the housing to form a hopper directing vegetable matter to collide with the combined flow.
Mineral slurry drying method and system
The present invention provides methods and systems for reducing moisture in mineral slurries, particularly mineral slurries containing minerals of small particle diameter, using a granular drying material. The invention also relates to novel mineral products and intermediates useful in connection with the process. The method and system reduced moisture by contacting the mineral slurry with the granular drying material. The granular drying material is selected to be readily separated from the dried minerals using a size separation technique such as a sieve screen. The granular drying material is the regenerated, preferably using a process involving heat exchange and cross-flow air. The granular drying material is preferably capable of regeneration and recycling in a continuous process with minimal attrition.
