Closed loop control with camera detection of pebble size of lime particles to ameliorate lime kiln ringing and improve uptime and operating efficiency
An improved lime mud recycling system including a camera proximate the kiln outlet imaging the granular lime and providing outlet images of the granular lime exiting the kiln, a processor analyzing the outlet images of the granular lime and providing pebble size distributions for the granular lime exiting the kiln, as well as a controller communicating with the processor comparing the pebble size distribution of the granular lime exiting the kiln with predetermined prescribed operating parameters for pebble size distributions for the granular lime exiting the kiln and issuing (I) a notification and/or (II) a control signal prompting remedial action when the pebble size distributions for the granular lime exiting the kiln are outside of the predetermined prescribed operating parameters.
CONVERTER BLOWING CONTROL METHOD AND CONVERTER BLOWING CONTROL SYSTEM
A converter blowing control method includes: calculating, by heat balance calculation and material balance calculation, an amount of oxygen to be supplied and an amount of a cooling material or a rising heat material to be charged for controlling a temperature and a component concentration of molten steel at end of blowing in a converter to target values; and controlling the blowing in the converter based on the calculated amount of oxygen to be supplied and the calculated amount of a cooling material or a rising heat material to be charged. A temperature of molten iron is used as a raw material for blowing, which is a target of the heat balance calculation, is used as a charged molten iron temperature used in the heat balance calculation, the temperature of molten iron being measured during a period when the molten iron is charged into the converter.
Oven having an imaging device
An oven can include an oven body including a set of interior panels. A set of exterior panels are spaced from the set of interior panels such that a channel is defined between the set of interior panels and the set of exterior panels. The set of interior panels includes an interior panel peripheral wall and an interior panel top wall that at least partially define a cooking cavity. Each interior panel of the set of interior panels has an inner surface and an outer surface. Insulation is located in at least a portion of the channel. The oven further includes an imaging device with a field of view including at least a portion of the cooking cavity.
Production apparatus and method for electric arc furnace steelmaking with fully continuous ultra-short process
A production apparatus and method for electric arc furnace steelmaking with a fully continuous ultra-short process are provided. A continuous adding, melting, smelting and continuous casting of a metal material are integrated, and a metallurgy process is completed in a flowing of a molten steel, to realize a continuous production of ingot blanks. The production apparatus includes four operation sites of an electric arc furnace for melting and primary refining, a sealed tapping chute for molten steel flowing, a refinement storage bed for molten-steel desulfurization and alloying and a conticaster for continuous casting A material flow, an energy flow and a time stream in the four operation sites are in a dynamic equilibrium. The production apparatus and method realize a molten-steel casting is started within 120 minutes after the metal material is started to be continuously added, and an uninterrupted continuous production is maintained for above 80 hours.
Monitoring of heated tubes
A method and an apparatus for detailed continuous monitoring of the thermal environment for a tube or a plurality of tubes and calculation and prediction of remaining lifetime of said tubes.
Household appliance including reflective door
Household appliances may include partially reflective (e.g., one-way mirror) glass as part of an oven door. The partially reflective glass may transmit light from an interior of the household appliance and may reflect light from outside the household appliance. Accordingly, one can see into the lighted interior but a camera inside the interior cannot see out through the door. In some examples, the household appliance includes a lamp and a camera disposed within the cavity of the appliance. The lamp and the camera are interlocked to protect user privacy by activating the one-way feature of the door glass as needed.
COOKING APPLIANCE WITH A USER INTERFACE
A method of cooking a food item in a cooking appliance having a cooking chamber and a user interface with a selector that allows a user to set a target degree of browning includes imaging, by an imaging device for capturing a real-time image, the food item inside the cooking chamber. A computing device in communication with the imaging device, and having a software module that receives the captured image, receives the captured real-time image from the imaging device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING FURNACES
A furnace monitoring system for monitoring a furnace over a span of time during furnace operation, including a thermal imaging apparatus, the apparatus is disposed outside of the furnace and at a distance from the exterior of the furnace to generate field signals of the furnace; a signal processing unit configured and programmed for receiving the field signals and generating a temperature map of the exterior of the furnace; and a means for displaying the temperature map locally or remotely. Wherein in that the furnace monitoring system is a system for monitoring the furnace over a span of time during furnace operation and in that the generated temperature map is divided into several zones, which correspond to different components of the furnace selected from burner, viewing port for burner observation, charging port, discharging port and flue gas channel.
METHODS OF ROTARY KILN THERMAL MONITORING AND COOLING
A system for monitoring brick in a rotary kiln includes an infrared sensor and a computing system configured to: obtain a digital model of a brick layer of a rotary kiln having a plurality of bricks, wherein the digital model of the brick layer is based on a measured brick thickness correlated with a measured infrared temperature for each brick; obtain infrared data of the rotary kiln with the at least one infrared imaging sensor; determine the measured infrared temperature for each brick; determine a brick thickness of a first brick in the brick layer of the rotary kiln based on the measured infrared temperature assigned to the first brick with the digital model of the brick layer; and provide the brick thickness of the first brick in a brick thickness report.
Systems and methods for vacuum furnace post-processing
A method of generating a loaded layout in a vacuum furnace corresponding to an actual layout in the vacuum furnace during operation of the vacuum furnace may comprise receiving, via a processor, a visual data of a loading process of the vacuum furnace from a camera; comparing, via the processor, the visual data to a predetermined maximum capacity layout for the vacuum furnace; and arranging, via the processor, the visual data into the loaded layout in response to comparing the visual data.
