Climate-control system having thermal storage tank
A climate-control system may include a first working fluid circuit, a second working fluid circuit and a storage tank. The first working fluid circuit includes a first compressor and a first heat exchanger in fluid communication with the first compressor. The second working fluid circuit includes a second compressor and a second heat exchanger in fluid communication with the second compressor. The storage tank contains a phase-change material. The first working fluid circuit and the second working fluid circuit are thermally coupled with the phase-change material contained in the storage tank.
Dual mass cooling precision system
Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for cooling using both air and/or liquid cooling sub circuits. A vapor compression cooling system having both an air and liquid cooling sub circuit designed to service high sensible process heat loads that cannot be solely cooled by either liquid or air is provided.
Vehicular heat management system
A vehicular heat management system includes a heat pump cycle capable of heating a heat-exchanging-object fluid by using exhaust heat of an in-vehicle device as a heat source that radiates heat during operation, and an exhaust-heat refrigerant circuit that releases the exhaust heat to outside air through an exhaust-heat refrigerant. The heat pump cycle includes a recovery heat exchange portion that performs heat exchange between a heated air heated by the exhaust heat and a cycle refrigerant circulating in the heat pump cycle. The exhaust-heat refrigerant circuit includes an exhaust-heat exchange portion that performs heat exchange between the heated air and the exhaust-heat refrigerant. The recovery heat exchange portion and the exhaust-heat exchange portion are integrally formed as a combined heat exchanger capable of transferring heat between the cycle refrigerant and the exhaust-heat refrigerant.
Cooling-Element Part for a Cooling Element of an Electrical Drive Unit with Droplet-Shaped Pins, Cooling Element, Electrical Drive Unit and Motor Vehicle
The invention relates to a cooling-element part for a cooling element for cooling at least one component of an electrical drive unit of a motor vehicle and can be joined together with a further cooling-element part to form at least one cooling-fluid-carrying cooling duct to the cooling element, and which has a cooling structure configured to increase a flow resistance for the cooling fluid by producing turbulences in the flow having pins that extend at least partially over a height of the cooling duct, wherein the pins are formed as droplet-shaped having a width that decreases in the direction of the flow of the cooling fluid.
Interlaced heat exchanger
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a climate management system that includes a heat exchanger having a first set of microchannel coils fluidly coupled to a first circuit of the climate management system and a second set of microchannel coils fluidly coupled to a second circuit of the climate management system, where the first circuit and the second circuit are fluidly separate from one another, and where the first set of microchannel coils and the second set of microchannel coils are disposed in an alternating arrangement along a length of the heat exchanger such that the first set of microchannel coils and the second set of microchannel coils are interlaced in the heat exchanger.
Outdoor unit of air conditioner
Provided is an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, including: an outdoor heat exchanger that has a height longer than a width; and an outdoor blowing fan that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and blows air upward from below the outdoor heat exchanger, in which the outdoor heat exchanger includes: a plurality of radiating fins that contacts air; a gap that is formed between the radiating fins; a louver fin that is cut in the radiating fin and then bent; and a cut-out area that is formed in the radiating fin and formed at a position where the louver fin is cut, the radiating fin includes: a first zone that is disposed above the outdoor heat exchanger and disposed close to the outdoor blowing fan; and a second zone that is located below the first zone, and an area LA1 of the louver fin in the first zone is formed to be larger than an area LA2 of the louver fin in the second zone. The present disclosure has the advantage of uniformly forming air volumes in each zone of the heat exchanger in the vertical height direction by making the areas of the louver fins arranged in each zone different, even when the outdoor blowing fan is disposed to be biased upward.
Internal drive system for air-cooled heat exchangers
An air-cooled heat exchanger includes a plenum having an intake and a discharge, a cooling tube assembly inside the plenum, a fan assembly that has a fan, an engine positioned outside the plenum, and an internal drive assembly. The internal drive assembly is configured to transfer torque from the engine to the fan. The internal drive assembly is contained inside the plenum.
Detecting loss of charge in HVAC systems
An HVAC system includes an evaporator, a first sensor coupled to the evaporator at a first position, and a second sensor operably coupled to the evaporator at a second position. The first sensor monitors a first temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the first position, which is adjacent to the evaporator inlet. The second sensor monitors a second temperature of the refrigerant flowing in the evaporator at the second position, which is downstream from the first position. The system includes a controller, which receives a first signal corresponding to the first temperature and a second signal corresponding to the second temperature. The controller determines, based on the received signals, a temperature difference between the second temperature and the first temperature. In response to determining that the temperature difference is greater than a predefined threshold value, the controller determines that a loss of charge has occurred.
