Safety Buffered Multi-Fluid Heat Exchanger and Safety Buffered Multi-Fluid Heat Exchange Process
A buffered multi-fluid heat exchanger and a buffered multi-fluid heat exchange process pertaining to the heat exchange equipment and process sector is disclosed. The heat exchanger (1) comprises a lower tubing or tube bundles (2) through which flows hot process fluid “Q” to be cooled; upper tubing or tube bundles (3) through which flows cold process fluid “F” to be heated, parallel to and spaced apart from the lower tubing (2); a vessel (4) for the tubing (2, 3) provided with inlet (2′) and outlet (2″) nozzles of the tubing (2), inlet (3′) and outlet (3″) nozzles of the tubing (3), and a portion of buffer fluid “T” that fills part of the vessel (4) that covers the lower tubing (2) through which circulates the hot process liquid “Q” to be cooled.
Tube bank heat exchanger
A heat exchanger has: a first manifold assembly having a stack of plates; a second manifold assembly having a stack of plates; and a plurality of tubes extending from the first manifold assembly to the second manifold assembly. The plurality of tubes is a plurality groups of tubes. For each of the groups of the tubes: the tubes of the group have first ends mounted between plates of the first manifold assembly; and the tubes of the group have second ends mounted between plates of the second manifold assembly.
HEAT EXCHANGE MEMBER, HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT CONDUCTIVE MEMBER
A heat exchange member includes: a honeycomb structure including: an outer peripheral wall; and partition walls arranged on an inner side of the outer peripheral wall, the partition walls defining a plurality of cells each extending from a first end face to a second end face to form a flow path for a first fluid; and a covering member being configured to cover an outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall. In a cross section of the honeycomb structure orthogonal to a flow path direction for the first fluid, the partition walls include first partition walls extending in a radial direction and second partition walls extending in a circumferential direction. A part of at least one of the outer peripheral wall and the second partition walls includes at least one slit 30.
Systems and methods for a valve in a dual-core EGR cooler
Methods and systems are provided for directing the flow of recirculated exhaust gas (EGR) delivered to an EGR cooler. In one example, a method includes flowing EGR through an EGR cooler positioned in an EGR passage, the EGR cooler comprising a bypass passage, a first cooler core flow path, and a second cooler core flow path, and adjusting a valve of the EGR cooler to selectively block flow of the EGR through the bypass passage, the first cooler core flow path, and the second cooler core flow path. In this way, fouling of the EGR cooler may be reduced.
DIFFUSER PLATES AND DIFFUSER PLATE ASSEMBLIES
A diffuser plate for a thermal transfer device can include a body having a number of first apertures and a second aperture that traverse therethrough, where the first apertures are asymmetrically arranged with respect to the second aperture. The first apertures can have a first shape and a first size, and where the first apertures are configured to receive a plurality of tubes. The second aperture has a second size, where the second size is larger than the first size.
MEMBRANE HUMIDIFIER FOR FUEL CELL, AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a membrane humidifier for a fuel cell capable of simplifying a fuel cell system and miniaturizing the fuel cell system by performing humidification by moisture exchange and cooling by heat exchange in one membrane humidifier, and a fuel cell system comprising same. The membrane humidifier for a fuel cell of the present invention comprises both a humidification module and a heat exchange module in a housing part, and distributes a first fluid to the humidification module and the heat exchange module at a variable distribution ratio.
Intercooler of vehicle
An intercooler of a vehicle includes a plurality of tubes arranged straight so that a charging air passes through the tubes, a shutter installed to open and close inlets of at least two of the tubes as the tubes move straight along a direction in which the tubes are arranged, and an actuator provided to move the shutter straight. The plurality of tubes are divided into adjustment tubes that can be opened and closed by the shutter and cooling tubes that are always opened regardless of the shutter, and the adjustment tubes are located on lower sides of the cooling tubes.
CONDENSER WITH EXTERNAL SUBCOOLER
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a vapor compression system that includes a refrigerant loop, a compressor disposed along the refrigerant loop and configured to circulate refrigerant through the refrigerant loop, a condenser disposed downstream of the compressor along the refrigerant loop and configured to condense vapor refrigerant to liquid refrigerant, a subcooler coupled to the condenser, where the subcooler is external of a shell of the condenser, and where the subcooler is configured to receive the liquid refrigerant from the condenser and to cool the liquid refrigerant to subcooled refrigerant, and an evaporator disposed downstream of the subcooler along the refrigerant loop and configured to evaporate the subcooled refrigerant to the vapor refrigerant.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for transferring thermal energy between a first working fluid and a second working fluid. The heat exchanger has an outer shell that has a first port, a second port, a third port, and a fourth port. A set of tubes each extend within the outer shell and between the first and second ports, such that the first working fluid can flow in parallel through the tubes. A plenum space extends within the outer shell and between the third and fourth ports, and surrounding the tubes. The second working fluid is to flow through the plenum space. The heat exchanger has a central core region, a first transition region that extends between the first port and the central core region, and a second transition region that extends between the second port and the central core region.

A heat exchanger includes a first channel with at least one first wall for porting a first fluid and a second channel with at least one second wall for porting a second fluid. The heat exchanger includes a barrier chamber located between the at least one first wall and the at least one second wall such that a rupture of one of the at least one first wall and the at least one second wall does not result in mixing of the first fluid and the second fluid. The heat exchanger includes a support member that extends between the at least one first wall and the at least one second wall.
