Plate for heat exchange arrangement and heat exchange arrangement
A plate for a heat exchange arrangement for the exchange of heat between a first and a second medium. The plate has a first heat transferring surface in contact with the first medium and a second heat transferring surface in contact with the second medium. The plate includes an inlet porthole for the first medium; an inlet porthole for the second medium, and an outlet porthole for the first medium. The first heat transferring surface includes a protrusion forming at least one ridge arranged to divide the heat transfer surface into at least a first region in direct thermal contact with the inlet porthole for the second medium, and a second region not in direct thermal contact with the inlet porthole for the second medium. The second region substantially surrounds the first region. The inlet porthole for the first medium is arranged in the first region, while the outlet porthole for the first medium is arranged in the second region. Moreover, the at least one ridge forms at least one elongated transfer channel arranged to convey the first medium from the first region to the second region.
HEAT EXCHANGER BAFFLES AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Water heaters, baffles for water heaters, and methods for manufacturing such baffles are disclosed, One baffle includes a core, an outer wall, and a plurality of fins. The outer wall surrounds the core and defines at least one flow path between the outer wall and the core. The plurality of fins extend from the outer wall toward the core. Each of the plurality of fins has a serpentine shape. One method for manufacturing a baffle includes extruding at least one portion of the baffle in one piece, the at least one portion of the baffle having an at least partially cylindrical outer wall u and a plurality of fins extending inward from the outer wall, each of the plurality of fins having a serpentine shape. One water heating system includes a burner, a vent, at least one flue tube, and at least one baffle as described above.
HIGH EFFICIENCY TANKLESS WATER HEATER
A water heater includes an outer casing defining a longitudinal axis, an axial direction being defined as extending along the longitudinal axis. The water heater further includes a combustor for production of hot flue gases, a primary heat exchanger including a tube positioned within the outer casing, and a secondary heat exchanger including a plurality of plates coupled together by brazing to form a brazed plate heat exchanger. The secondary heat exchanger includes a first set of passages defined between the plates, and a second set of passages defined between the plates and alternating with the first set of passages in the axial direction. The primary and secondary heat exchangers are in fluid communication such that the flue gases flow through the second set of passages before being exhausted, and water to be heated flows through the first set of passages to a delivery point for use upon demand.
COOLING CHANNEL STRUCTURE, BURNER, AND HEAT EXCHANGER
Provided are a first wall section extending along a first direction, a second wall section disposed at an interval from the first wall section in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and a plurality of partition wall sections connecting the first wall section and the second wall section so as to form at least one cooling channel between the first wall section and the second wall section, the cooling channel having a plurality of channel cross-sections disposed at intervals in the first direction. In a cross-section including the first direction and the second direction, at least a part of each of the partition wall sections extends along a direction intersecting with the second direction.
Heat recovery steam generator cleaning system and method
A cleaning system and method includes suspending and exploding, adjacent a bank of HRSG finned-tubing, a plurality of generally uniformly spaced detonation cords. Each detonation cord has an explosive grain loading of 18-50 grains per foot. A detonation delay assembly attached to each of the plurality of detonation cords creates a predetermined delay between each detonation cord explosion. After the detonation cords are exploded, a suspended elongated beam, having a transport assembly and a pressurized air blower assembly directs pressurized air towards an adjacent the bank of HRSG finned-tubing as the pressurized air blower assembly is moved along a portion of the beam. A suspension assembly moves the beam, the transport assembly, and the pressurized air blower assembly up or down so that a next portion of the bank of HRSG finned-tubing may be cleaned by the pressurized air.
Tubular Boiler with Incorporated Oven
The invention relates to a tubular boiler with a heat exchange tube with at least one helical layer situated in a heat exchange chamber, and which includes a set of laterally joined spirals. The boiler includes, an inner side of the helical layer, an oven that is rigidly joined to said layer and connected to a feeder by means of which fuel is supplied. The boiler also includes an output collector for collecting ash and slag, which connects the inside of the heat exchange chamber to the outside of the boiler, and a forced-air-current generator that generates a movement of air inside the boiler and directs it to the oven. This movement of air moves the ash and slag along the at least one helical layer to the output collector.
