Heat exchanger plate
A heat exchanger plate (2) is described comprising an edge (7), a groove (8) running along the edge (7), a gasket arranged in the groove (8), and a corrugated area (10) having tops (12) and valleys (11) between the groove (8) and the edge (7), wherein tops (12) run substantially perpendicular to the edge (7). In such a heat exchanger plate the gasket should be reliably fixed without affecting the stability of the heat exchanger. To this end, in at least one valley (11) a raised section (14) extends from a bottom area (13) of the valley (11) and the gasket comprises a click-on extension arranged in the valley (11) and having a recess adapted to the raised section (14).
HEAT TRANSFER PLATE
A heat transfer plate comprises upper, center and lower end portions, the latter adjoining the center portion along an upper borderline and comprising first and second portholes and a distribution area having a distribution pattern. The distribution pattern comprises distribution ridges, a respective top portion of which extends in a plane and has rounded first, second, third and fourth corners. The distribution ridges extend along plural separated imaginary ridge lines from the upper borderline towards the first porthole. For each of a number of the distribution ridges extending along a top ridge line closest to the second porthole, the first corner’s curvature radius is larger than the second corner’s curvature radius, the first/second corners are on opposite sides of the top ridge line, the second corner is closer to the second porthole than the first corner, and the first/third corners are on the same side of the top ridge line.
Heat transfer plate and a plate pack for a heat exchanger comprising a plurality of such heat transfer plates
A heat transfer plate comprises first, third and fourth guiding sections. The first and fourth guiding sections each comprise, as seen from a first side of the heat transfer plate, a male projection to engage the first adjacent heat transfer plate for aligning the plate and the first adjacent heat transfer plate, and, as seen from a second side of the heat transfer plate, a female recess to engage the second adjacent heat transfer plate for aligning the plate and the second adjacent heat transfer plate. The third guiding section comprises, as seen from the second side of the plate, a male projection to engage the second adjacent heat transfer plate for aligning the plate and the second adjacent plate, and, as seen from the first side of the plate, a female recess to engage the first adjacent heat transfer plate for aligning the plate and the first adjacent plate.
CLAMP DEVICE AND STACKED HEAT CONVERTER
Clamping device 20 is a clamping device for clamping and fixing core 10, whose interior is divided into multiple flow channels F1, F2 by plates 11 that are stacked, of stacked heat exchanger 1 in stacking direction Z of plates 11, including: two end plates 21, 22 placed on both sides of core 10 in stacking direction Z; connecting member 23 connecting two end plates 21, 22 to keep two end plates 21, 22 apart by a distance greater than a length of core 10 in stacking direction Z; and bolts 24 inserted respectively into thread through-holes 21a, 22a formed on each of end plates 21, 22 for pressing core 10 in stacking direction Z.
Plastic film heat exchanger for low pressure and corrosive fluids
A heat exchanger including a pair of end plates, a plurality of flow plates sandwiched between the pair of end plates, and a plurality of heat transfer films that are respectively positioned between adjacent flow plates, and between each of the end plates and an immediately adjacent flow plate.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR HEATING OR COOLING VISCOUS MATERIALS
Methods and devices heat or cool viscous materials, such as meat emulsions useful for producing food and other products. The devices have a heat exchanger including a first plate, a second plate attached to the first plate, and a first spacer and a second spacer arranged between the first plate and the second plate. The first plate, the second plate, the first spacer, and the second spacer define at least one temperature controlled passage for a product to pass through the heat exchanger.
Lock Strip for Heat Exchanger
A heat exchanger with improved leak prevention may include a first heat exchanger plate, a second heat exchanger plate, a gasket between the first and the second heat exchanger plates, and a lock strip configured to maintain alignment of the first and second heat exchanger plates over a plurality of thermal expansion and contraction cycles of the plates. The lock strip may include at least one projection to engage with a projection of the first and/or second heat exchanger plate to secure its position over the plurality of thermal expansion and contraction cycles of the plates. Lock strips can be applied to one or many plates comprising a plate heat exchanger plate pack.
Heat exchanger module with an adapter module for direct mounting to a vehicle component
A heat exchanger module adapted for being mounted directly to the outer surface of the housing of an automobile system component, such as a transmission or engine housing, is provided. The heat exchanger module has a heat exchanger fixedly attached to an adapter module. The adapter module contains one of more fluid transfer channels and includes a portion that extends outwardly beyond the footprint of the heat exchanger. The adapter module is comprised of a first embossed plate that is sealed with a second plate, which may also be embossed. The embossments provide fluid transfer channels and also perform as structural ribs to enhance the rigidity of the adapter module.
PLATE-TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER
A plate-type heat exchanger formed by stacking a plurality of heat exchange units on top of each other, wherein adjacent heat exchange units are stacked such that the internal space in one heat exchange unit and the internal space in another heat exchange unit communicate with each other through a first opening in the one heat exchange unit and a second opening in the other heat exchange unit, the one heat exchange unit includes an insertion wall disposed on a peripheral edge of the first opening and inserted in the second opening when the adjacent heat exchange units are stacked, and the insertion wall has a distal end with a circumferentially discontinuous protrusion height.
