Ultra thin heat exchangers for thermal management
A heat exchanger for cooling a heat-generating component includes first and second plates, each having a core layer of a first metal and an inner clad layer of a lower melting second metal, which is inert to the working fluid contained in a fluid chamber of the heat exchanger. The outer peripheral sealing surfaces of the first and second plates are joined by welding, wherein the weld joint is fluidly isolated from the fluid chamber by a layer of the second metal in an area adjacent to the weld joint. In some embodiments, the heat exchanger includes liquid flow passages and primary and secondary gas flow passages, each secondary passage providing communication between primary gas flow passages. The gas and liquid flow passages may be defined by a wick material having hydrophilic areas and non-wicking areas of reduced thickness. A method of manufacturing is also disclosed.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A HEAT DISSIPATION DEVICE
A method of manufacturing a heat dissipation device is disclosed. The heat dissipation device manufactured with the method includes two titanium metal sheets and a metal mesh. According to the method, the two titanium metal sheets and the metal mesh are subjected to a surface treatment, so that surface of any one of the titanium metal sheets and the metal mesh is modified to form a hydrophilic layer. With these arrangements, the titanium metal material can be freely plastically deformed and possess a capillary force, and the titanium metal sheet can therefore be used in place of the conventional copper sheet to serve as a material for making heat dissipation devices. The heat dissipation devices so produced can have largely reduced weight and largely improved heat dissipation performance.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FINNED TUBES
A method for producing ribbed pipes, in which a first pipe base body is ribbed on its outer side, in particular helically, with a first band, to which end the first band is secured to the first pipe base body using a first laser beam. While the first band is being secured to the first pipe base body using the first laser beam, a second pipe base body is ribbed on its outer side with a second band, to which end the second band is secured to the second pipe base body using a second laser beam, wherein the first and second laser beams come from the same laser source.
Vapor chamber with support structure and manufacturing method therefor
A vapor chamber with a support structure and its manufacturing method are provided. The vapor chamber with the support structure includes a first plate, a second plate spaced apart from the first plate, and multiple support elements fixed between the first and second plates. On an outer surface of any of the first plate or the second plate, laser welding is performed on positions corresponding to the support elements so as to join the support elements to the first and second plates and to form weld ports on the outer surface of any of the plates. The invention solves the problem of fixing the support structure inside the thin vapor chamber, and therefore mass production can be realized.
HEATING/COOLING WALLS AND CEILINGS
A radiant heat transfer system for heating or cooling a room, has at least one heat exchange element in the form of a panel formed by a first plate and a second plate, the first and second plates being symmetrically profiled to form a flow channel arranged in a serpentine manner between the first and second plates for passage of a heat transfer fluid, wherein the first and second plates are pressed steel plates and are connected to each other by welding over the entire surface of the contact areas between the first and second plates, wherein the connection between the plates is made by laser welding, and wherein a surface texture obtained by laser treatment is present on the surface in contact with the heat transfer liquid of at least one of the first and second plates to increase the heat transfer.
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE OF A COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a device for controlling the temperature of a component and a method of production thereof. The device includes an elongate basic profile that defines a plurality of fluid flow channels in its interior. The fluid flow channels are arranged in series and separated by webs. The elongate basic profile extrudes from a plastic material. The device includes a connection unit connected to the basic profile and designed to direct fluid into the basic profile or out of the basic profile. The connection unit is formed partially or completely from a transparent plastic material.
FLAT HEAT EXCHANGER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD TEREOF
The disclosure provides a manufacturing method of a flat heat exchanger. The manufacturing method includes flattening a round heat pipe to a flat heat pipe, welding a first part of the flat heat pipe, and welding a second part of the flat heat pipe. After welding the second part of the flat heat pipe, the manufacturing method further includes cutting off part(s) of the first part or the second part of the flat heat pipe and trimming the flat heat pipe. Before welding the first part or the second part of the flat heat pipe, there is no pipe shrinkage process performed on the flat heat pipe.
SOLAR HEATING SYSTEM
A solar heating system for heating domestic water or a heat transfer heating fluid has at least one external heating element which receives solar energy. The heating element is in the form of a panel which is formed by a first plate and a second plate which is connected to the first plate, the first and second plates being symmetrically profiled so as to form, outside contact zones between the first plate and the second plate, a flow channel for the passage of the domestic water or the heat transfer heating fluid which is to be heated and which flows in the panel. The first plate and second plate are deep-drawn from steel and connected to each other by laser welding over the entire surface of the contact zones. At least one of the first plate or the second plate has been subjected to surface texturing by laser processing.
VAPOR CHAMBER WITH SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A vapor chamber with a support structure is provided.
