Handgun with forward assist
10465999 · 2019-11-05 · ·

A handgun subassembly includes a frame with a distal frame portion and a proximal frame end portion, where the frame has frame rails extending longitudinally along a top of the frame. A slide is displaceable along the frame rails between a recoil position and a battery position. The slide defines a catch surface adjacent a bottom portion of the slide. A forward assist assembly is disposed between the slide and the frame or grip module. The forward assist assembly provides a force on the slide in a distal direction when the slide is within a predetermined distance from the battery position.

Bolt carrier system

A semi-automatic or automatic rifle comprising a barrel attached to and upper receiver and including a compressible bolt carrier extension system. The compressible bolt carrier extension system includes a bolt carrier, an extension spring, two pins, and a reciprocation bolt carrier extension piece. As a whole, the compressible bolt carrier extension system makes possible the use of elongated upper and lower receivers to be used for chambering long-action or other center fire cartridges for use with AR rifles such as the M-16, and M4 etc., eliminating the need for any buffer or buffer tubes other than those commercially available. A further advantage of the compressible bolt carrier extension system is the reduction of felt recoil as the system fully loads during the recoil stroke as it pushes against the buffer absorbing additional recoil energy. The system can be incorporated into firearms using a variety of cartridges.

Recoil mitigation and buttstock floating system, method, and apparatus

A buffer tube for firearms, including assault rifles, carbines, shotguns, and other rifles is disclosed. The floating buffer tube comprises a recoil mitigation mechanism, including a helical spring or an elastic or viscous energy absorption device, and a buttstock mounting bracket mounted outside the buffer tube. The buttstock mounting bracket can rotate relative to the buffer tube, which changes the axial angle of the buttstock relative to the firearm. The angle can be locked under an expansive force by forcing a bolt or pin into grooves to select the proper axial angle of the buttstock relative to the firearm in the field without the user having to disarm himself to perform the angle change.

HAND-HELD GUN

The invention refers to a hand-held gun (20) having a grip part (21) and a breech part (37) movably supported in longitudinal direction on grip part (21). A breech spring arrangement (25) urges breech part (37) in its initial position (I) relative to grip part (21). For this purpose, breech spring arrangement (25) is supported directly or indirectly between breech part (37) and grip part (21).

Starting from the initial position (I), breech part (37) can move against the closing force of breech spring arrangement (25) into an abutment position (II) in which it abuts against a buffer body (24). Starting from the abutment position (II), breech part (37) can be moved under elastic compression of buffer body (24) in longitudinal direction (L) into a retracted position (III). In the movement area between the abutment position (II) and the retracted position (III), a compression force (F) of the preferably in longitudinal direction (L) and particularly exclusively in longitudinal direction (L) compressed buffer body (24) applies in addition to the closing force of the breech spring arrangement (25) between the grip part (21) and the breech part (37).

Sliding revolver pistal

The Sliding revolver pistol is a new concept of revolver pistols which has less recoil and more accuracy. The main difference with traditional revolver pistols is that the new design adds a barrel spring which lets the barrel and cylinder slide back together at firing time. The barrel is straight ahead of the cylinder bottom chamber not on top like in traditional revolver pistols.

The new design lets the barrel and cylinder move as one entity which slides on the channel. The barrel spring has been designed to cover the barrel. The barrel spring's rear side has been latched on to the pistol body which holds the barrel body on to the pistol body also. The barrel front side has a clutch that allows it to connect with the spring. During the firing time, the barrel's front side presses the spring back along with the channel, reducing the recoil.

FIREARM ELECTRONIC SYSTEM

Man portable weapons include integrated electronics that calculate orientation and movement in addition to providing that data to a user's heads-up displays (HUD) as well as to group and area networks. By passing data to a HUD, the user is able to see, virtually, the flight path, point of impact and other ballistic data as well as data representing the condition and performance of the weapon for any rounds fired. The HUD also displays the relative position of other members of the team, last known enemy area of operation and other useful parameters from the man portable weapons of the other team members through the network. The electronics may be integrated within the main components of any suitable man portable weapon in a non-intrusive way as to have no effect on the firing mechanism of the small arm when it is fully assembled.
