The inventive technology herein describes an improved magazine extension configured to be coupled with an ammunition magazine for a firearm. In one embodiment, the improved magazine extension may include an indexing channel to facilitate a more efficient and accurate indexing of the magazine into the firearm. Additional embodiments may include an improved magazine extension having an increased ammunition capacity, as well as a quick release catch to enable the efficient removal of a magazine from the firearm.

There is provided an automatic firing apparatus, and a method for operating the automatic firing apparatus, the apparatus comprising a trigger actuator for automatically firing bullets contained in a magazine of a firearm; a magazine release actuator for releasing an empty magazine from the firearm; a magazine bank for storing a bullet magazine inside the firearm; and a magazine loading actuator for loading a new magazine inside the firearm from the magazine bank. There is further provided a magazine bank apparatus for use with a firearm comprising a magazine bank base having a plurality of slots adapted to receive and store bullet magazines; and a magazine load actuator adapted to be automatically triggered for loading a bullet magazine among the stored bullet magazines inside the firearm.

There is provided an automatic firing apparatus, and a method for operating the automatic firing apparatus, the apparatus comprising a trigger actuator for automatically firing bullets contained in a magazine of a firearm; a magazine release actuator for releasing an empty magazine from the firearm; a magazine bank for storing a bullet magazine inside the firearm; and a magazine loading actuator for loading a new magazine inside the firearm from the magazine bank. An assembly for supporting gun magazines comprising: a plurality of readily connectable and disconnectable, pouches, each comprising a housing portion adapted to receive a gun magazine therein and each of said housing portions comprises a strap adapter assembly constructed and arranged to receive an elongate flexible strap member that is attachable to and detachable from a human body; said strap adapter assembly being configurable to receive elongate flexible straps of different widths.

A device implementable on a firearm includes a magazine extension housing and a locking plate. The magazine extension housing is attachable to a bottom opening of a magazine well of a magazine that is implementable on the firearm. The locking plate is receivable in a portion of the magazine extension housing such that the locking plate is configured to lock the magazine extension housing to the magazine well when the magazine extension housing is attached to the magazine well of the magazine.

A magwell extension is provided and configured to assist a user in inserting a cartridge magazine into the magwell of a firearm. The extension includes a hollow body enclosed on four sides and open at opposite ends. A coupling face defines a first of the ends and includes a pair of rails configured to engage the rim of the magwell. A stop rail extending from the coupling face lies perpendicular to the pair of rails. A locking element is configured to be coupled to the body with a portion extending from the first opening and beyond a plane defined by the coupling face. The locking element is configured to bias the rim of the magwell into secure engagement with the stop rail.

A magwell extension is provided and configured to assist a user in inserting a cartridge magazine into the magwell of a firearm. The extension includes a hollow body enclosed on four sides and open at opposite ends. A coupling face defines a first of the ends and includes a pair of rails configured to engage the rim of the magwell. A stop rail extending from the coupling face lies perpendicular to the pair of rails. A locking element is configured to be coupled to the body with a portion extending from the first opening and beyond a plane defined by the coupling face. The locking element is configured to bias the rim of the magwell into secure engagement with the stop rail.

Disclosed is tagged ammunition, methods for making it, using it and detecting it to reduce gun violence. When implemented together with a smart phone coupled readers, standalone readers, or at a security center, software is included to allow integration of signals detected by multiple readers in the vicinity to map detectable ammunition detected by readers designed to detect tagged ammunition as a proxy for loaded firearms. This makes possible securing an area of interest, when combined with placing of at least one networkable reader in the vicinity of the area of interest; and connecting the one or more readers to a monitoring center. Such monitoring centers may be associated with schools, shopping malls, streets, public meetings, public events, housing complexes, an area being swept for loaded guns, an area being monitored for gang activity, or even a residence.

Disclosed is tagged ammunition, methods for making it, using it and detecting it to reduce gun violence. The present invention relates to a spring arrangement for use in a countermeasure magazine, said spring arrangement including a plurality of elements, wherein each one of said elements has a base portion and a plurality of spring portions extending from a first edge of said base portion, and wherein said spring portions of each element are distributed along a length of said base portion, and wherein said elements include mating connection means such that said elements may be connected to each other.
