MODULAR HANDGUN
A modular handgun system comprises an elongated universal trigger frame having a pair of slide rails and an accessory rail. The trigger frame is adapted to have a trigger assembly mounted thereto. The system further comprises a grip frame having an elongated channel and a hand grip extending downwardly from the elongated channel. The trigger frame is removably mounted in the elongated channel of the grip frame. The accessory rail of the trigger frame is positioned forward of a forward end of the elongated channel of the grip frame so as to be exposed. The system further comprises a slide and barrel assembly slidably mounted on the slide rails of the trigger frame.

Selective fire firearm systems and methods
A selective fire firearm may be provided having a fully automatic open bolt and a semi-automatic closed bolt mode of operation. The firearm may include a trigger group having a trigger prop that ensures that, when the trigger is released in the fully automatic open bolt mode, the bolt carrier stops in an open bolt position held by an open bolt sear. The trigger prop may include a foot that, following a first trigger pull in the fully automatic open bolt mode, slides under and props a rear end of the trigger in a position that allows the open bolt sear to catch the bolt carrier when the trigger is released and propped but prevents the trigger sear from engaging the hammer.

MOUNT FOR A FIREARM
A mount for a firearm has a body having a first clamp configured to engage a first edge of the rail, a jaw movably connected to the body and having a second clamp opposed to the first clamp and operable with the respective clamps to engage respective opposed lateral edges of the rail, a spring biasing the jaw toward the body, and at least a portion of the spring being between the clamps. There may be a pushrod connected to a first one of the body and the jaw and slidably received by the other of the body and the jaw. The spring may be laterally positioned to one side of the pushrod. The spring may be a coil spring having a spring axis offset from a pushrod axis defined by the pushrod.
