Linear clutch for use with a bow and an arrow rest

A clutch for use with an arrow rest is mounted intermediate the arrow rest and the bow. The clutch includes a body having a first end configured to operatively connect to the arrow rest cord and a second end that receives a moveable shaft. The moveable shaft has a first end received in the body and a second end configured to connect to a bow. A spring is received on the shaft and positioned between the shaft and the clutch body. The clutch is moveable between a first position in which the shaft first end is proximate the clutch body first end to facilitate the movement of an arrow rest launcher arm out of an arrow support position, and a second position in which the shaft first end is proximate the clutch body second end to facilitate movement of the arrow rest launcher arm into an arrow support position.

Limb having a core member and an archery bow including same

A limb for an archery bow is provided. The limb includes an outer elongate member, an inner elongate member, and a core member. The outer elongate member is formed of a first material and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface. The inner elongate member is formed of a second material and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface. The core member is formed of a third material and is sandwiched between the outer elongate member and the inner elongate member. The core member is coupled with at least a portion of each of the interior surfaces of the outer elongate member and the inner elongate member. The outer elongate member and the inner elongate member are configured to move relative to each other when the limb is bent. The first material and the second material are each stiffer than the third material.

A compound bow includes a first and second pulley, each of which is operative, when the bow is drawn, to unwind a portion of a bow string from a bow string groove and to take up a portion of a bow cable so as to decrease its effective length. At least one of the pulleys includes a cable controller which operates to modify the rate at which the effective length of the bow cable is decreasing so that during an initial portion of the draw of the bow, the rate is greater than it would be in the absence of the controller, and during a second portion of the draw, the rate is less than it would be in the absence of the controller. Use of the controller provides a bow which has an inherently balanced draw.

The second member has a second riser engager. At least one of the first and second members is configured to at least partially support an accessory. The first and second riser engagers are configured to be engaged with a bow riser in an arrangement in which the first and second riser engagers are spaced apart from each other.

Locking connector

A connector includes a base and a nut which is configured to fit within and be retained within a chamber in the base. The nut is laterally inserted into the chamber via a side opening in the base and is axially displaced within the chamber between locked and unlocked positions. The nut includes a radial projection which is configured to enter into a bore in the base adjacent to the chamber when the nut is in the locked position. When the nut is in the released position, the projection is withdrawn from the bore so that the nut may be removed from the base.
