Pistols have a frame, a firing facility operable to discharge the pistol, a safety device connected to the frame and having a safe condition in which discharge is disabled and an operable condition in which discharge is enabled, an actuator responsive to the presence of a safety-indicating element and operative to control the condition of the safety device such that the safety device is in the safe condition when the safety-indicating element is absent and in the operable condition when the safety-indicating element is present, a selector connected to the frame and operably connected to the safety device, and the selector being movable between an enabled position in which the safety device is operably responsive to the presence and absence of the safety-indicating element, and a disabled position in which the safety device remains in the operable condition irrespective of the presence and absence of the safety-indicating element.

Weapon sight with tapered housing
11486675 · 2022-11-01 · ·

Methods and systems are disclosed for a weapon sight with a tapered housing. The housing may be configured to enclose an optical bench and/or a portion of an adjuster assembly within the weapon sight. The housing may include an outer shell, a first window, and a second window. The first window may define a first area. The second window may define a second area. The second area may be greater than the first area, for example, such that the outer shell is tapered outward from the first opening to the second opening. The outer shell may define a first wall and a second wall that extend between the first opening and the second opening on opposed sides of an optical path of the weapon sight. The first wall and the second wall may be slanted outward from the first window to the second window.

AUXILIARY OPTICAL SYSTEM
20230080906 · 2023-03-16 ·

An auxiliary optical system is installed on a telescopic sight of a gun, the telescope sight including an eyepiece end, an objective end and a first reticle. The system includes a digital imaging member fixed at the objective end by a first fixing member and partially shielding an objective lens, a display member fixed at the eyepiece end by a second fixing member and electrically connected to the digital imaging member; the digital imaging member configured to perform photosensitive image on environmental images and convert the environmental images into video signals, and generates a second reticle that is adjustable and has the same function as the first reticle, the second reticle and the video signals stacked together to be transmitted to the display member for display. The present disclosure enables the gun to have functions of the digital sight without replacing a conventional telescopic sight.

A holster system for receiving and releasably retaining a handgun with or without a reflex sight mounted thereon. The holster body comprises a pair of opposing side wall portions and an upper wall portion. The holster body may define a rear accessory sight opening for receiving the handgun with the reflex sight attached thereto. The holster system may include a first rear sight cover selectively and robustly coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the rear accessory sight opening when a handgun with conventional sights extending upwardly about ⅜ of an inch or less mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system. The holster system may also include a second rear sight cover selectively coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the sight opening when a handgun with a reflex sight mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system.
