FIREARM ACCESSORY MOUNTING INTERFACE
An accessory mounting interface for a firearm, and a related method, are disclosed. The interface has a firearm accessory, a first elongated fastener, and a second fastener rotationally mated to the first elongated fastener. The first elongated fastener has right-handed threading and is arranged through a through hole in the firearm accessory with a first end extending below first and second halves of a first slot protrusion of the firearm accessory. The second fastener has a length greater than a width, the length measured along a longitudinal axis of the second fastener, the second fastener having a plurality of straight edges. At least one of the plurality of straight edges prevents the second fastener from rotating further than a closed position when the at least one of the straight edges abuts a sidewall of an elongated slot in the firearm.
Adjustable rail mounting system
Devices mountable to a rail having a recoil groove are provided. In one aspect a device mountable to a rail having a recoil groove has a rail positioner having a longitudinal length with a plurality of teeth arranged along an edge of the longitudinal length and a recoil groove insert extending away from the rail positioner and configured to be inserted into the recoil groove, a first body member having a first rail engagement surface and plurality of openings generally sized to receive the plurality of teeth and arranged along a length of the first body a second body member having a second rail engagement surface opposite the first body member, and a clamping structure operable to tighten and maintain a clamping force between the first body member and the second body member when the rail positioner is arranged in therein and that can be released facilitate installation and removal of the mounting to a rail.
WEAPON MOUNTED LIGHT AND OPERATION THEREOF
A flashlight assembly includes a body having a head portion at one end and an opposing tapered tail portion and a clamping assembly on a bottom side of the body. The tail portion of the body tapers rearwardly towards a tail end thereof and downwardly from an upper side towards the bottom side, such that the tail end of the tail portion merges with the bottom side of the body and forms an inclined contoured surface extending from the bottom side to the top side. A contoured switch is mounted within the inclined angled surface of the tapered tail portion, and includes a safety bail pivotably movable to selectively mechanically impede operation of the switch.
RIFLE STOCK MOUNTING RAIL SYSTEM
Rifle stock mounting rail systems have an elongated rail having opposed forward and rear ends, the elongated rail having an accessory mounting facility defining a plurality of mounting locations, the elongated rail defining a forward mounting aperture proximate to the forward end, the elongated rail defining a rear mounting aperture proximate to the rear end, the forward mounting aperture being configured to receive a first fastener in a stock aperture associated with a sling stud, the rear mounting aperture being configured to receive a second fastener in a stock aperture associated with a trigger guard, and the forward and rear mounting apertures being spaced apart by a distance based on a spacing between a sling stud and the second fastener. The accessory mounting facility may be an elongated channel. The accessory mounting facility may have a multitude or an unlimited number of mounting locations.
Multiple angle offset optic mount
An offset optic mount can be detachably mounted at its proximal end to an accessory rail of a firearm in a cantilevered fashion with its distal end extending laterally from the firearm. An offset optic mount includes: a base and a clamp member on the proximal end, the base is adapted to be mounted to the accessory rail by the clamp member; an optic adapter plate on the distal end, the optic adapter plate is configured so that an optical sight can be attached thereto, the optic adapter plate is offset at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the base; and a stem adapted to connect the optic adapter plate to the base, the stem is a reversable piece used to set and change the offset angle of the optic adapter plate relative to the longitudinal axis of the base.
Extended rail system and mount for a weapon system
An extended rail system for a weapon system includes a forward mount that couples to a first point on the weapon system forward of a barrel shroud and a rail that couples to a second point on the weapon system and the forward mount.
Firearm accessory mount
A firearm accessory mount is described herein. The firearm accessory mount is manufactured by securing a raw amount of material, shaping the raw amount of material to generate receiving structures positioned on a mounting base along a common axis, forming apertures through the receiving structures to form accessory rings along a single axis from one direction and at least substantially dividing each of the accessory rings into receivers and caps.
Weapon mountable illumination device
A weapon mountable illumination device configured to mount to existing firearm mounting rails to provide illumination of potential targets while mitigating problems associated with snagging, and shadow casting. It is an aspect of the present invention to provide a rapidly mountable device to provide increased lighting capability while obviating the need to remove back up iron sights.
TAIL SWITCH ARRANGEMENT FOR A LIGHT
A switch for a light may comprise: an electrical switch actuatable in a direction transverse to the electrical switch; a switch actuator including: a plunger adjacent the electrical switch movable pivotably for actuating and de-actuating the electrical switch. A flexible boot may move the plunger toward the electrical switch when the flexible boot is pressed. The electrical switch is actuated when the flexible boot is pressed toward the electrical switch or at an angle therebetween. The switch may be adjacent a reference plane surface in a light body of the light.
FIREARM ACCESSORY MOUNTING SYSTEM
A firearm accessory mounting system, wherein the firearm accessory mounting system can comprise a firearm accessory having at least one attachment point wherein the attachment point has at least one thread hole. A firearm handguard can have at least one mounting surface with at least one thru hole wherein the firearm accessory can be removably attached to the mounting surface by the attachment point and at least one fastener. The mounting surface can further comprise two parallel edges that can clock the right orientation of the firearm accessory with respect to the fore end of a firearm wherein the firearm accessory can always be orientated or pointed in the correct direction.
