Firearm accessory mounting interface
An accessory mounting interface for a firearm, and a related method, are disclosed. The interface has a firearm accessory, a first elongated fastener, and a second fastener rotationally mated to the first elongated fastener. The first elongated fastener has right-handed threading and is arranged through a through hole in the firearm accessory with a first end extending below first and second halves of a first slot protrusion of the firearm accessory. The second fastener has a length greater than a width, the length measured along a longitudinal axis of the second fastener, the second fastener having a plurality of straight edges. At least one of the plurality of straight edges prevents the second fastener from rotating further than a closed position when the at least one of the straight edges abuts a sidewall of an elongated slot in the firearm.
Quick detaching device for handgun tectical light
This invention provides a quick detaching device for handgun tactical light which includes a tactical light base, two locking members correspondingly disposed on two sides of a top end of the tactical light base, sliding members and a pressing mechanism; a sliding slot is correspondingly mounted in a middle part of each of the sliding members; the sliding members are respectively mounted in the sliding slots; a through slot which passes through the tactical light base is provided in the tactical light base; a stopping plate is provided in a middle part of the through slot; the pressing mechanism is mounted in the through slot and corresponds to the stopping plate. This invention can quickly mount and detach the tactical light without the help of tools and great effort, and is convenient to use.
Weapon system
A weapon system for a firearm having a barrel includes a powered accessory rail interface having an upper accessory rail and a lower accessory rail. A first accessory device is removably attachable to the upper accessory rail and is configured to receive electrical power and data signals over the powered accessory rail interface. A second accessory device is removably attachable to the lower accessory rail, the second accessory device configured to receive electrical power and data signals over the powered accessory rail interface. A power supply is electrically coupled to the powered accessory rail interface.
Interface support for an aiming system
A turret intended to be mounted on an armored vehicle includes: a barrel system having a barrel liner and a protective tube against impacts and vibrations connected to the barrel liner at a junction with a mask of the turret; and a rigid and interchangeable interface system to attach to the turret a piece of functional equipment including at least an aiming system. The interface system is fastened on the protective tube against the impacts and vibrations such that the interface system is placed in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the barrel system. The interface system includes, in the following predefined order: an essentially semi-circular or semi-cylindrical enclosure serving as a support surrounding the protective tube against the impacts and vibrations; a base attached to the enclosure; a plate over the base; and a support fastened perpendicularly to the plate.
Multidirectional firearm light
An illumination device for a firearm may include a housing supporting multiple lamps. A switch actuator of the device is rotationally coupled to a rear end of the housing. A cam is coupled to the switch actuator, such that the cam rotates with the actuator, the cam having a first end including a magnet and a second end having a shaped cam surface configured to interface with a cam follower. The actuator and the cam are biased toward a neutral position. Selective rotation of the cam causes a magnet of the cam to operate one or more magnetic switches. The cam is transitionable between a plurality of discrete positions, e.g., including a pair of toggle positions in the first rotational direction from the neutral position, and a pair of momentary positions disposed on the cam in the second rotational direction from the neutral position.
MULTIPLE ANGLE OFFSET OPTIC MOUNT
An offset optic mount can be detachably mounted at its proximal end to an accessory rail of a firearm in a cantilevered fashion with its distal end extending laterally from the firearm. An offset optic mount includes: a base and a clamp member on the proximal end, the base is adapted to be mounted to the accessory rail by the clamp member; an optic adapter plate on the distal end, the optic adapter plate is configured so that an optical sight can be attached thereto, the optic adapter plate is offset at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the base; and a stem adapted to connect the optic adapter plate to the base, the stem is a reversable piece used to set and change the offset angle of the optic adapter plate relative to the longitudinal axis of the base.
Handguard and related method of use
A handguard and related method are provided. The handguard can include a clamp with opposing ramped surfaces, wedges engaging the ramped surfaces, and fasteners extending through the wedges and opposite sides of the handguard. Rotating the fasteners urges the wedges against the ramped surfaces to urge the clamp and a corresponding clamp element against a barrel to clamp the handguard to it. Where multiple fasteners are included, they can extend in opposite directions over the barrel, and can have reversed locking directions to distribute clamping forces to the barrel evenly. The clamp and wedges can prevent rotation of the handguard and provide parallel upward and downward movement. A fastener can extend through a wedge bore without engaging that wedge bore, while another fastener can threadably engage another wedge bore in the same wedge to provide horizontal wedge movement via rotation of the fastener.
Firearm laser sight
An improved firearm laser sight comprising a pattern generating element and an enlarging lens for enhanced projection of sight patterns onto an intended target is disclosed. The device is meant to be an accessory for firearms of all types by comprising any standardized methods for attachment, and may serve to decrease the time needed to acquire an intended target before firing. The device may implement a variety of sight patterns that may be projected larger and in a more pronounced way, when compared to standard firearms sights, to provide a clear image that may be quickly acquired even over longer distances. The improved firearm laser sight may be made available with a red or green visible laser, an infrared laser, or an ultraviolet light depending on the intended use of the device.
EXTENDED RAIL SYSTEM AND MOUNT FOR A WEAPON SYSTEM
An extended rail system for a weapon system includes a forward mount that couples to a first point on the weapon system forward of a barrel shroud and a rail that couples to a second point on the weapon system and the forward mount.
Tail switch arrangement for a light
A switch for a light may comprise: an electrical switch on a reference plane and actuatable in a direction substantially perpendicular to the reference plane; a switch actuator including a flexible boot disposed at an acute angle relative to the reference plane including: a plunger adjacent the electrical switch movable substantially perpendicular to the reference plane for actuating and de-actuating the electrical switch; and an actuator member between the flexible boot and the plunger movable to move the plunger toward the electrical switch when the flexible boot is pressed. The electrical switch is actuated when the flexible boot is pressed toward the reference plane or parallel to the reference plane or at an angle therebetween. The switch may be adjacent a reference plane surface in a light body of the light.
