Spin-stabilized non-lethal projectile with a shear-thinning fluid
A non-lethal projectile having a shear-thinning fluid within an interior cavity. The shear-thinning fluid having a greater apparent viscosity at low shear rates to spin-stabilize the non-lethal projectile during flight and a lower apparent viscosity at a high shear rate corresponding with the shear-thinning fluid shearing against the frangible cap upon the non-lethal projectile striking the target, with the low viscosity of the shear-thinning fluid allowing proper dispersal upon impact with the target. The shear-thinning fluid can comprise a marking media and be in the form of an emulsion with less than about 50% liquid by volume to effectively disperse upon impact with the target.
ARROW USING CORING HEAD AND RODS
An arrow with a first body having a cylindrical member with a first outside diameter, a first outer surface, a first inner diameter, a first proximate end, and a first distal end, where the first proximate end is configured to accept an arrowhead, a second body having a hollow cylindrical member, where the second distal end is configured to accept fletching, and a nock, and a connecting means to couple the first body to the second body, wherein the arrowhead is a hollow coring arrowhead configured to cut a volume of material through a target, and where mass and fluid passes through the coring arrowhead to the first body, and where one or more rods are positioned within the second body, where the rods are exposed to the target after the first body detaches from the second body.
Lead free frangible iron bullets
The invention relates to bullets having increased frangibility (or which can be easily fragmented) and to powder materials and processes for the manufacture of such bullets. The bullets of the present invention are made from an iron alloy containing 75-81% Hoeganaes MH-100 Iron 0.6-0.09% Carbon, and balance of admixed Copper powder. Said bullets are then coated for lubricity so the bullet does not prematurely wear the barrel of a gun. Additionally, the invention provides a simple low cost process to make bullets that is amenable to mass production via automation.
SCENTED THROWING DART
An improved method, device, and system for hunting and selectively placing a scented hunting aid is provided. A hand-thrown dart may have a tip and a flight attached opposite thereto. The flight may carry a scented fluid or scented material thereon. The flight is configured to be positioned above the ground after the dart has been thrown by hunter from a tree stand. The dart enables the hunter to selectively throw the dart such that its placement is upwind from a desired game animal such as a buck deer that the hunter desires to attract. Some implementations utilize peelable covers to release the scented material, while other embodiments utilize a porous or sponge-like flight that is saturated with a scented fluid.
Angled dual impact bullet
A bullet having a front unit and a rear unit, the front unit adapted to house the rear unit is provided. The front unit has a fragmented section, a cavity wall section, and a separation ring. The separation ring being angled forward or rearward with respect to the center of the bullet or with respect to the outermost edge of the bullet and being disposed on the front unit between the fragmented section and the cavity wall section.
Liquid projection bomb, projecting device and delivery method therefor
A liquid projection bomb includes a shell and is characterized in that functional liquid is filled into the shell, and the shell is made of a soft or hard material easy to crack when bumped. The functional liquid includes water, alcohol, fuel oil, and a solution of water mixed with an extinguishing agent, a fertilizer or a drug.
Hyper-velocity impact sensor
A hyper-velocity impact sensor is configured to probe a mass of material consumed upon impact with an object. The probe can extract density and thickness characteristics of the impacted object, which can be used to classify the object.
BOWFISHING SHAFT ADAPTER
An enhanced slide and a circumferential stop assembly for use with a bowfishing arrow may include matching shapes for engaging one another in use. The engagement of such matching shapes offers many improvements over conventional slide and stop assemblies, including an even circumferential distribution of impact between the slide and the stop as well as inhibiting relative longitudinal or rotational movement between the slide and stop assemblies. The stop assembly may further include a nock adapter for engaging a nock, thereby serving as a dual purpose adapter. For ease of use and installation, the stop assembly may be an outsert, meaning that it is adapted to fit snugly over an arrow shaft.
Arrow tracking system
An arrow tracking system includes an arrow that has a shaft and a head. The head is removably coupled to the shaft. The arrow is launched at an animal thereby facilitating the animal to be killed. A reservoir is coupled to the arrow and the reservoir contains a fluid dye. The fluid dye is selectively released from the reservoir when the arrow strikes the animal. Thus, the fluid dye is released into the animal's blood stream. The fluid dye reacts with blood thereby enhancing visibility of blood released from the animal thereby. Thus, the fluid dye enhances tracking the animal during hunting.
Vented Arrow
In some embodiments, an arrow comprises a shaft comprising a tubular wall comprising a cavity and a nock comprising a notch arranged to engage a bowstring. An intake inlet is in fluid communication with the cavity and an exhaust outlet is in fluid communication with the cavity.
