Embodiments of a method and a system are provided to create a uniform layer of a substance such as a hydrogel or other fluid substance underneath the soil surface with minimal or little surface disturbance to the plants, the plant roots and the soil located on or slightly below the applied surface area. It is to be clearly understood that various different embodiments may be employed to deliver a variety of different substances to the soil, and such substances may be gels or liquids. The presently preferred fluid substance is currently a hydrogel, and the present illustrated and described embodiment may be employed to inject hydrogel into soil but other fluid substances may be injected as well.

The manifold head (16) has a first set of high pressure nozzles (38) each configured to deliver a first volume of soil treatment into the soil at an operating pressure over an injection period and a second set of high pressure nozzles (102) each configured to deliver a second volume of soil treatment into the soil at the operating pressure over the injection period. The second volume of soil treatment is greater than the first volume of soil treatment.

A liquid delivery device for killing weeds. The liquid delivery device includes a main tube, a handle, and a pump housing that includes a pump chamber. A reservoir is disposed in the main tube, and a plunger is connected to the reservoir and positioned in the pump chamber. The plunger is operative to push a liquid contained in the pump chamber through a check valve and dispensing orifices when a user moves the reservoir with respect to the main tube and pump housing. The device also includes a spike extending from the pump housing and an annular stand-off surrounding the spike. The spike is adapted to disrupt the soil and damage the root structure of a target weed.

The present disclosure relates to a pneumatic serial device for spraying materials into a deep soil layer and an implementation method thereof. The device comprises a material spraying injector (1), a air blasting system (2) connected with the material spraying injector (1), and a material feeding system (3), wherein the air blasting system (2) and the material feeding system (3) are connected with the material spraying injector (1) in series in sequence, wherein the air blasting system (2) comprises a high-pressure air tank (2-1) and a quick relieve valve (2-2), the material feeding system (3) comprises a material chamber (3-1), a feeding valve (3-2), a valve I (3-3), a material sending chamber (3-4), a valve II (3-5) and a material delivery pipe (3-6) which are connected to each other in sequence, and the material delivery pipe (3-6) extends into the high-pressure air tank (2-1) and is communicated with the quick relieve valve (2-2) at the bottom thereof. Combined with the implementation method thereof, the device can uniformly apply a certain amount of various materials into the soil layer at any depth, replacing the traditional method, greatly improving the operation efficiency of applying materials into the deep soil layer, significantly reducing the cost of applying materials into the deep soil layer, and reducing the labor intensity.

A needle injector used in the Landscape Services to inject the soil getting to the root of a plant [FIG. 1 #1] with the purpose of killing the plant with herbicide flowing through the needle and out the holes [FIG. 1 #4]. Typical weed control is done by pulling the weeds with a tool or by hand, not very effective as weeds grow back when pulled, there is always some root left behind to regrow. This invention kills the weed at the root and it dies and disintegrates on its own. It is an easily used device by connecting it to a garden pump sprayer or similar device [FIG. 2 #5 and 6] and using pressure to drive the herbicide into the root. It is 6 long. {FIG 1. number 3} to get the deep roots. It can be used with fertilizers as well, getting near or on the roots.

The wings (511C) include a secondary deployable blade to enhance cutting or reaming through an impediment comprising clays and rack. The wings (519A) integrate sensors based on Lidar technology. The sensors receive commands and signals from the Al robot (1107C), the lens (1205), computer (1111C), PLC (1105C), encoder (13058), and the limit switch (1409B). The wings (105B, 519A. 511C, 513C, 519C) are deploved based on the data about soil type and amendment prescription received from the GPS (1113C).

A ground penetrating rig that can be coupled to machinery (e.g., a skid steer, or the like). The ground penetrating rig may have one or more mast assemblies, each having one or more rods. The mast assemblies may be located in parallel and/or in series with each other. Each of the rods of the mast assemblies may be moveable in unison or independently. However, in some embodiments the rods may be moveable in unison until at least one rod is impeded by an obstruction, and as such, the movement of an impeded rod may be restricted while allowing continued movement other rods. One or more of the mast assemblies may be able to be adjusted in order to reduce the envelope of the rig for improved transportation. Multiple ground penetrating rigs may be operatively coupled to the machinery (e.g., front and rear) to improve ground treatment efficiency.
