Methods and systems for prechamber
Methods and systems are provided for a prechamber. In one example, a system comprises a reservoir fluidly coupled to a prechamber and a compressor. The reservoir is configured to store boost air or residual gases.

A turbocharger includes a compressor housing, a turbine housing, a bearing housing, a variable nozzle unit, and a fixing member. The variable nozzle unit includes a first plate, a second plate, a plurality of nozzle vanes, and an attitude changing mechanism. The fixing member includes an engagement portion that is engaged with at least one of the first plate and the second plate, a through shaft portion shaped to extend through the bearing housing toward the compressor housing, and a fixing portion that fixes an end portion of the through shaft portion on the compressor housing side to the hearing housing.
INVERTED COMPRESSOR FOR ELECTRIC TURBOCHARGER
Various methods and systems are provided for an electric turbocharger. In one example, the electric turbocharger includes an electric motor circumferentially surrounding a shaft, a turbine coupled to a first end of the shaft, and a compressor coupled to a second end of the shaft, opposite of the first end. The compressor may include a volute with a curved portion protruding towards the turbine.

The compressor includes an impeller, and the compressor provides a quantity of air flowing toward an intake of an engine through rotation of the impeller. The electric motor is mechanically linked to the compressor and rotates the impeller to force the quantity of air flowing toward the intake of the engine. The generator system may include a charge air cooler to receive the quantity of air flowing toward the intake of the engine and increase an air charge density of the quantity of air. The generator system may include an exhaust portion to expel exhaust from the engine such that the quantity of air provided by the compressor does not include exhaust expelled by the exhaust portion. The generator system may include an air valve configured to regulate the quantity of air flowing toward the intake of the engine.

A generator system may include a compressor and an electric motor. The compressor includes an impeller, and the compressor provides a quantity of air flowing toward an intake of an engine through rotation of the impeller. The electric motor is mechanically linked to the compressor and rotates the impeller to force the quantity of air flowing toward the intake of the engine. The generator system may include a charge air cooler to receive the quantity of air flowing toward the intake of the engine and increase an air charge density of the quantity of air. A turbine for a turbocharger includes: a turbine impeller coupled to a compressor impeller via a rotational shaft; a turbine casing disposed so as to cover the turbine impeller, the turbine casing including a scroll flow passage and a scroll outlet portion disposed on an inner side, in a radial direction, of the scroll flow passage, for guiding exhaust gas from the scroll flow passage to the turbine impeller; and a back-surface side member disposed so as to face a back surface of the turbine impeller. The back-surface side member includes a protruding portion disposed on an impeller facing surface which faces the back surface of the turbine impeller, the protruding portion protruding toward the back surface and extending in a circumferential direction.

A turbine for a turbocharger includes: a turbine impeller coupled to a compressor impeller via a rotational shaft; a turbine casing disposed so as to cover the turbine impeller, the turbine casing including a scroll flow passage and a scroll outlet portion disposed on an inner side, in a radial direction, of the scroll flow passage, for guiding exhaust gas from the scroll flow passage to the turbine impeller; and a back-surface side member disposed so as to face a back surface of the turbine impeller. The back-surface side member includes a protruding portion disposed on an impeller facing surface which faces the back surface of the turbine impeller, the protruding portion protruding toward the back surface and extending in a circumferential direction.
