ENGINE-DRIVEN AIR COMPRESSOR/GENERATOR LOAD PRIORITY CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system, in one embodiment, may include a portable unit having an engine, a generator coupled to the engine, a compressor coupled to the engine, and a priority load controller. The controller may be configured to adjust various loads on the engine, the generator, or the compressor, or a combination thereof, in response to a priority control scheme. A computer-implemented method, in another embodiment, may include adjusting power output to various loads on an engine, a welding generator coupled to the engine, or an air compressor coupled to the engine, or a combination thereof, in a portable welding unit in response to a priority control scheme.
CONTAINER FOR A GENERATOR SET
Systems and apparatuses include a container for a generator set. The container includes a housing including a cooling room structured to support a radiator and a radiator fan within the housing, an exhaust room structured to support an aftertreatment system, an engine room structured to contain the engine and the alternator within the housing, an air intake system positioned adjacent the engine room, and a control room structured to support control equipment for the generator set. The exhaust room may further support after treatment components including a muffler and an exhaust pipe.
Engine generator
An engine generator including, in a housing: a generator; an engine; a fuel tank; a canister for collecting evaporated fuel; and pipes for causing the canister and an inside of the fuel tank to communicate with each other. The pipes include the pipe section provided in the fuel tank; the pipe section extends above a liquid surface of the fuel in the fuel tank in a state in which a short-length side of the housing is placed downward; and the pipe section includes a portion that passes through a place above the liquid surface of the fuel in a state in which an opposite side of the housing is placed downward.
Vehicle power generator
A vehicle includes a generator for supplying power to a load; and one or more controllers, programmed to responsive to detecting a fuel level reaching a predefined critical value, stop the generator and instruct a second vehicle to start to generate power, the vehicle serving as a pass-through conduit between the load and the second vehicle.
Range enhancing mechanism
An assist apparatus for an electric vehicle which is powered by rechargeable batteries. To assist in the range of the electric vehicle, a platform is secured or towed by the vehicle. On the platform is a hydrocarbon internal combustion engine/motor that generates electricity. The hydrocarbon engine/motor is activated, either manually, via a handheld switch, or automatically by sensors in the electric vehicle, to charge the rechargeable batteries within the electric vehicle.
WORK MACHINE
A pressure variation in a fuel tank can be prevented, and leakage of liquid fuel can be prevented even if the fuel tank is inclined in a predetermined direction, without operation for opening and closing a breather passage. An engine generator includes: a first breather passage having an opening at a position above a liquid fuel in a tank bulge section when the engine generator is inclined to the right (corresponding to a first direction); and a second breather passage having an opening at a position above the liquid fuel in the tank bulge section when the engine generator is inclined in the left direction (a second direction).
Automatic couplings for modular generator set system
In general, a generator set system may include a primary module including: an engine; a generator coupled to the engine and configured to convert mechanical energy of the engine to electrical energy; a primary frame configured to support the engine and the generator; and a first coupling. The generator set system also may include a secondary module including a secondary module including: at least one of a heat recovery module, an exhaust module, a cooling system module, a fuel system module, a solar power module, a battery module, an electrical system module, an air intake module, or an air outlet module; a secondary frame; and a second coupling. The first coupling and the second coupling are configured to automatically electrically or fluidically couple the primary module to the secondary module upon assembling the primary frame and the secondary frame.
Self-contained, stand-alone power generator
A self-contained, stand-alone power generator system comprising: an electric motor for applying torque to a shaft of a rotating mass, wherein the electric motor is powered by a dedicated power source; a battery for supplying additional power to the electric motor upon start up; at least one of a torque converter and a starter motor, for overcoming resting inertia of the rotating mass; a generator head coupled to the rotating mass, wherein the power generator is constructed such that when the generator head reaches operational speed, the generator head provides the additional power to the electric motor and recharges the battery.
Engine for power on demand generator
The invention provides an engine for obtaining kinetic rotational energy from the explosive decomposition of individual cartridges of an energetic material. The cartridges are individually ignited as needed, producing a bolus of hot, expanding gas, the energy of which is captured by a piston moving in a circular track. Each cartridge ignition produces a single circuit of the piston around the track. A gearing mechanism transfers the angular momentum of the piston to a flywheel. The engine may be coupled to an electrical generator to form a portable, on-demand electric generator system.
CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTING SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE-BASED MACHINES
An internal combustion engine-based system includes an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine-based system includes an engine interrupt connected to the engine. The engine interrupt is configured to selectively stop the operation of the engine. The internal combustion engine-based system includes a controller in communication with the engine interrupt. The internal combustion engine-based system includes a carbon monoxide detector in communication with the controller. The controller uses the engine interrupt to stop the operation of the engine when the carbon monoxide detector provides the controller with signals that are representative of a carbon monoxide level proximate the internal combustion engine that together form a trend of building carbon monoxide amounts over a set time interval.
