ENGINE CONTROLS FOR EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT THERMAL MANAGEMENT
A method includes operating an engine system including a plurality of cylinders, a plurality of fuel injectors configured to provide fuel the plurality of cylinders, a compression braking system configured to selectably brake at least a first set of the plurality of cylinders, and an exhaust aftertreatment system including at least one catalyst. The method includes determining a condition for brake-fuel operation and, in response to the act of determining, operating the engine in a brake-fuel mode wherein the compression brake is actuated to provide compression braking of the first set of the plurality of cylinders and a second set of the plurality of cylinders receives and combust fuel provided from respective ones of the plurality of fuel injectors.
Dynamic Power Curve Throttling
The present disclosure generally relates to dynamic power curve throttling. In an exemplary embodiment, a computer-implemented method for enabling dynamic throttling of an engine includes graphically displaying a graph of a linear throttle line for the engine including an idle speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) and one or more operating speeds in revolutions per minute; using a graphical user interface to alter the linear throttling line into a non-linear dynamic throttling line; and generating a table based on the non-linear dynamic throttling line, the table including dynamic throttle increments that vary based on RPM and that are usable by a controller for dynamic throttling of the engine.
Construction vehicle
Provided is a construction vehicle including: a rolling-use hydraulic pump coupled to an output shaft of an engine and supplying hydraulic oil to a rolling-use hydraulic circuit; a task-use hydraulic pump coupled to the output shaft of the engine and supplying the hydraulic oil to a task-use hydraulic circuit; and an overspeed suppression mechanism configured to activate the task-use hydraulic pump to suppress overspeed of the engine when a load equal to or greater than allowable rotation speed is applied from the rolling-use hydraulic pump to the output shaft of the engine.
Method and control device for detecting, during the operation of a hybrid vehicle, whether combustion is taking place in an internal combustion engine of the hybrid vehicle
A method to detect whether combustion is taking place in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle during operation of the hybrid vehicle, whereby a decoupler is provided between the internal combustion engine and an electric machine that serves to power the hybrid vehicle, comprising opening the decoupler between the internal combustion engine and the electric machine, receiving a speed signal when the decoupler is open, said signal indicating a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine when the decoupler is open, and determining, on the basis of the speed signal when the decoupler is open, whether combustion is taking place in the internal combustion engine. The present invention also relates to a control device to carry out the method according to the invention.
SHIP SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM, SHIP SPEED CONTROL METHOD, AND SHIP SPEED CONTROL PROGRAM
A ship speed control system includes: a ship speed deviation calculation module which calculates a ship speed deviation based on the difference between an actual ship speed and a ship speed target value; and an input gain adjustment module which adjusts a gain input to a throttle control function to a first gain value when the ship speed deviation is not less than a first threshold value, and adjusts the input gain to a second gain value which is larger than the first gain value and smaller than the initial gain value when the ship speed deviation is not less than the first threshold value and not less than the second threshold value.
Method of controlling engine and transmission of hybrid vehicle
A method of controlling an engine and a transmission of a hybrid vehicle includes steps of: determining whether the vehicle starts, determining an engine RPM and a gear stage of a transmission if the vehicle has started, determining whether the engine RPM has reached an engine speed control point, determining an engine target RPM and an engine target RPM slope of the vehicle when it is determined that the engine RPM has reached the engine speed control point, controlling the engine RPM of the vehicle to follow the engine target RPM and the engine target RPM slope, determining whether the engine RPM has slipped compared to the target engine RPM, and performing PID control to follow the engine target RPM if the engine RPM slips compared to the engine target RPM.
METHOD FOR ENGINE BRAKING AND POWERTRAIN
A method for engine braking of a vehicle includes: —detecting a state indicative of a desired engine braking of the vehicle, and—controlling an engine speed to a set engine speed target value by controlling a powertrain component in response to the detected state of a desired engine braking.
CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A control method for an internal combustion engine configured to implement fuel cut in response to becoming zero of an accelerator opening degree during travel of a vehicle, and generate an antiphase torque after the fuel cut by supplying fuel to a cylinder, in order to cancel out vibration of the vehicle caused due to the fuel cut includes setting a timing of generating the antiphase torque to be later than that for normal operation, in response to implementation of the fuel cut under high torque idle operation in which a torque of the internal combustion engine immediately before the fuel cut where the accelerator opening degree is zero is higher than that in the normal operation.
ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system is provided, which includes a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a piston, a main combustion chamber, a subchamber, an injector that injects fuel into the main combustion chamber, a main spark plug that ignites a mixture gas inside the main combustion chamber, a subspark plug that ignites the mixture gas inside the subchamber, and a controller electrically connected to the injector and the main spark plug and the subspark plug. In a low-load range where an engine load is below a given reference load, the controller controls the main spark plug and the subspark plug so that the subignition is performed after performing the main ignition, and the controller retards the timing of the subignition in a high-speed range where an engine speed is above a given reference engine speed, compared with a low-speed range below the reference engine speed.
