FORWARD SUPPORT ROTATING ASSEMBLY FOR A SNAPPING ROLL OF A SNAPPING UNIT OF A COMBINE HARVESTING MACHINE
A forward support rotating assembly for a snapping roll of a snapping unit of a combine harvesting machine is provided. The assembly comprises:—a frontally open axial seat provided in the snapping roll and having an inner circumferential abutment edge;—a cylindrical support pin extending axially in the seat and being integral with a support bracket for fixing the assembly to a snapping unit;—a sliding element interposed between the support pin and the seat;—a labyrinth seal element comprising a cylindrical ferrule, which has a labyrinth cross-section and in which there is defined an inner annular seat, and an annular packing seal received in the annular seat and radially contacting the outer surface of the cylindrical support pin, wherein the labyrinth seal element frontally seals the seat with respect to the outside.
DIFFERENTIAL SPEED STALK ROLLS
Differential speed stalk rolls mountable to a row unit of a row crop head. A first stalk roll body has an outer peripheral speed less than the outer peripheral speed of a second stalk roll body in lateral spaced relation. The stalk roll bodies may have modular and interchangeable body segments of different configurations.
Corn Harvester Header
This invention reveals a corn harvester header comprising: multiple harvesting units placed adjacently among them, where each of said harvesting units has a central slot through where a maize plant is processed to separate the ears from the stalks; multiple crop divisors, each placed between two adjacent harvesting units; and multiple frontal devices, each place in front of and between two adjacent harvesting units; where each one of said multiple frontal devices comprise: a pair of guiding elements, where the guiding element is selected from a group of: chain or belt; two or more wheels; and a support; where the guiding element is placed around said two or more wheels; where one of the two or more wheels drives the spin of the guiding element, where the tangential speed of the guiding element is configured according to the distance between the plants in the crop; and where an opening greater that the harvesting slot is created.
STALK ROLL WITH MULTIPLE FLUTES OF DIFFERENT LENGTHS
A stalk roll may be configured to be mounted upon a stalk roll drive shaft of a corn harvesting header, wherein the stalk roll drive shaft has a generally square cross-sectional shape. The stalk roll may comprise a main cylinder with a plurality of flutes extending radially from the main cylinder along the length of the main cylinder. A taper may be positioned toward the front end of the main cylinder. The flutes may be configured such this with differing edges to facilitate stalk movement into and through the ear separation zone to the plant separation zone. The flutes may be configured such that a bladeless area proximate to the nose cone on each of two stalk rolls of an opposing pair cooperate to form at stalk engagement gap in at least one moment in time per revolution of the stalk rolls.
Harvester row head
Frame assemblies for a corn row head formed from components formed from different materials may include a frame portion having a first beam leg and a second beam leg formed of a first material and a skid plate attached to each of the first beam leg and the second beam leg formed from a second material different than the first material. The first material may be aluminum, and the second material may be steel. In some implementations, a breast plate joining the first beam leg and the second beam leg may be formed from the first material and may be welded to the first beam leg and the second beam leg. In other implementations, the breast plate may be formed from the second material and may be adhesively bonded to the first and second beam legs.
Stalk roll assembly
A stalk roll assembly for header of a combine harvester. The assembly includes first and second stalk rolls spaced laterally with respect to one another and rotating in opposite directions. Each stalk roll includes a frusto-conical nose and a cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes a plurality of radially extending flutes. The nose includes a pair of helical flights. The plurality of flutes includes at least one cutting flute having a straight edge and a plurality of puncturing flutes with teeth. The stalk rolls are laterally offset a distance that permits the tips of the flutes to laterally overlap and the teeth of the puncturing flutes are longitudinally offset so the tips of the teeth are received between with the valleys of the teeth of the other stalk roll.
STALK ROLLER ASSEMBLY FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM
A stalk roller assembly for an agricultural system includes a stalk roller having a hollow shaft. The hollow shaft has a first end having a first shape, such that the first end engages a guide element. Furthermore, the hollow shaft has a second end having a second shape that engages a drive shaft, such that the first shape is different than the second shape. In addition, the hollow shaft is formed from a single piece of material.
Stalk roll flute
A hybrid flute for a stalk roll may be configured with a sharp edge positioned between a first blunt edge and a second blunt edge along a length of the flute edge. The flute edge may extend radially outward from a main cylinder of the stalk roll. The flute edge may be engaged with a radius at the base of the flute edge, and a flute base may extend from the radius. A plurality of flute bases positioned adjacent to one another may be configured to form a main cylinder for the stalk roll.
Secondary stalk roller
A stalk roll assembly for a corn harvester includes a first stalk roll having a first elongate cylinder and rotates about a first axis, and a second stalk roll has a second elongate cylinder rotates about a second axis. A third stalk roll has a third elongate cylinder, is positioned above the first stalk roll and rotates about a third axis, and a fourth stalk roll has a fourth elongate cylinder, is positioned above the second stalk roll and rotates about a fourth axis. A first plate is positioned between the first stalk roll and the third stalk roll, and a second plate is positioned between the second stalk roll and the fourth stalk roll. The first and second stalk rolls are spaced apart to separate corn ears from corn stalks.
ELECTRIC ROW UNIT DRIVE SYSTEM FOR CORN HEADER OF COMBINE HARVESTER
A corn header for an agricultural vehicle includes two gathering chains which together draw plants into a snapping gap; two snap rolls positioned beneath the two gathering chains; a first brushless DC motor (BLDC) connected to at least one of the two gathering chains for moving the at least one of the two gathering chains; a chopping unit including a movable blade positioned beneath the snap rolls for fragmentizing stalks of the plants drawn into the snapping gap; and a second BLDC connected to the chopping unit for moving the blade and fragmentizing the stalks of the plants.
