Method for Preventing Icing of an Injection System of an Internal Combustion Engine
A method prevents icing of an injection system of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle having a high-pressure fuel pump to which, in addition to fuel, water can also be supplied via a feed line. When the motor vehicle is stopped, water still located in a wide region of the feed line is extracted, at least if required. For this purpose, a conveying device provided for conveying water to the high-pressure fuel pump is operated with the direction of rotation reversed. When the motor vehicle or the internal combustion engine is re-started, that region of the feed line from which water located therein has previously been extracted is flushed with water, the air located therein beings discharged into the surroundings.

A water injection device is provided for a vehicle internal combustion engine having a storage tank for water and a conveying device which is connected to water and can convey water through a feed line into at least one injection valve which is assigned to the internal combustion engine and if required, in the case of a switched-off internal combustion engine, can convey it from the injection valve back in the direction of the storage tank. A device for separating air from the water which is conveyed back is provided in the feed line. The device for separating air is configured in the form of a container, in the upper interior region of which the at least one or more feed lines opens/open, whereas a forward feed line which is connected to the conveying device opens into the lower interior region of the container, and wherein, as viewed in the vertical direction, the upper interior region of the container is spaced apart further from a roadway, on which the vehicle is standing, than the lower interior region.

LIQUID HEATER
Described is a liquid heater having a housing, in which a flow channel runs from an inlet to an outlet, a heating resistor arranged within the housing for heating liquid flowing through the flow channel, control electronics which are arranged in an interior space of the housing, the interior space being sealed off from the flow channel, and a plug connector attached to the housing. Provided according to this disclosure, the plug connector has a vent duct which is closed by a membrane and which leads to the interior space sealed against the ingress of liquid, in which interior space the control electronics are arranged.
System for storing an aqueous solution on-board a vehicle
A vehicle system storing an aqueous solution includes: a first compartment; a second compartment; a module that includes a feed pump unit connected for pumping aqueous solution from the first compartment to a feed outlet; and a jet pump having a suction inlet, a pressure inlet and an outlet. The feed pump unit is further connected for pumping aqueous solution along a flow path from the first compartment through the feed pump unit, through the pressure inlet of the jet pump to the outlet of the jet pump. A heater heats the flow path. The suction inlet is connected to a suction line that receives the aqueous solution from the second compartment. The outlet of the jet pump returns aqueous solution from the suction inlet and from the pressure inlet to the first compartment.
