Controlling method of vehicle exhaust gas recirculation, apparatus, and electronic device

A controlling method of vehicle exhaust gas recirculation, an apparatus and an electronic device are provided in vehicle field. Before the GPF/DPF starts to work, controlling the EGR to cool the temperature of the recycled gas at a lowest gas temperature required being entranced into the engine; and after the GPF/DPF starts to work, according to a gas temperature change and an intake flow change of an air intake of the EGR, adjusting an opening of a valve arranged in a vent of the EGR and a working power of a pump arranged in a liquid duct of the EGR, for making the EGR to cool the gas recycled by the EGR in a safe temperature range required by the engine. The controlling method is associated controlled with a cooling system of the EGR, for ensuring the recycled exhaust gas temperature and the EGR rate in a suitable range.

Surge suppression device, exhaust turbine type turbocharger and surge suppression method

A surge suppression device for suppressing surge in an exhaust turbine-type turbocharger includes: a high-pressure tank configured to accumulate high-pressure gas with a higher pressure than atmospheric pressure; a high-pressure gas injection line connecting the high-pressure tank and an upstream intake passage on an upstream side of a compressor of the turbocharger; an on-off valve configured to open and close the high-pressure gas injection line; and a control device configured to control the on-off valve on the basis of a relationship between a pressure ratio of the compressor of the turbocharger and an intake flow rate.

EGR effective flow diagnosis method

An Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) effective flow diagnosis method includes: measuring an EGR gas temperature by an EGR gas temperature sensor under an EGR gas temperature rise condition of an EGR system on an intake line; determining the degree of the EGR gas temperature rise; and determining whether an EGR effective flow is excessive or insufficient according to the degree of the EGR gas temperature rise.

An exhaust turbocharger turbine wheel can include a hub that includes a nose, a backdisk with a shaft joint portion, and a rotational axis; blades that extend from the hub to define exhaust flow channels where each of the blades includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, a hub profile, a shroud profile, a pressure side, and a suction side; where the backdisk includes an outer perimeter radius measured from the rotational axis of the hub, an intermediate radius at the shaft joint portion measured from the rotational axis of the hub, and an annular recess disposed between the intermediate radius and the outer perimeter radius and defined in part by three-dimensional bolster regions, where each of the three-dimensional bolster regions includes a footprint and a height measured at least in part in a direction of the rotational axis of the hub.

PROCESS FOR IMPROVING ENGINE EFFICIENCY USING A FUEL REFORMING SYSTEM
20230074674 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A method of operating an engine includes igniting a combustible mixture in a combustion chamber of the engine, which produces exhaust gases. The exhaust gases are ejected into an exhaust manifold of the engine to create a primary exhaust stream. A portion of the exhaust gases is separated from the primary exhaust stream to create a secondary exhaust stream. Air and fuel are then mixed with the secondary exhaust stream to form a reformer feed mixture. The reformer feed mixture is reacted in a catalytic reformer to create a reformate exhaust stream, which is then mixed with an intake air stream to create a mixed air stream. The mixed air stream is the fed to the combustion chamber of the engine as the combustible mixture.

System and method for reducing engine knock

A method includes operating a spark ignition engine and flowing low pressure exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) from an exhaust to an inlet of the spark ignition engine. The method includes interpreting a parameter affecting an operation of the spark ignition engine, and determining a knock index value in response to the parameter. The method further includes reducing a likelihood of engine knock in response to the knock index value exceeding a knock threshold value.
