A filter element (10) comprises filter bellows (16), in particular open filter bellows made of a filter medium (18), which has an oncoming flow side (28) and an outgoing flow side (30) for the fluid to be filtered. The filter element (10) is disposed in the filter housing (11) in such a way that it separates at least one inlet (15) from at least one outlet (17). An element axis (14) of the filter element (10) and a housing axis (25) of the filter housing (11) may be aligned in parallel with or axially to the installation direction (12) in the filter housing (11) for installing the filter element (10). The filter element (10) has at least one outer support section (38), which protrudes axially beyond the filter bellows (16) on the oncoming flow side (28) or the outgoing flow side (30) with respect to the element axis (14) and protrudes into an axial projection of the oncoming flow side (28) or the outgoing flow side (30) with respect to the element axis (14). In addition, a respective filter housing (11) and/or a respective filter (13) is/are described.
FILTER WITH INTERLOCKING HOUSING INTERFACE
A filter element includes first filter media, second filter media, a frame, and a seal member. The frame is coupled to the first filter media and the second filter media, the frame securing the first filter media and the second filter media into a V-shape. The seal member is attached to and extends from the frame. The seal member includes a U-shaped channel structured to receive a ridge of a housing when the filter element is installed in the housing. The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.
AN ENGINE AIR FILTER UNIT FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to an engine air filter unit for a vehicle (1) that is designed to supply filtered air to an internal combustion engine of the vehicle (1). The engine air filter unit (10) comprises a main filter (14), a mounting base (15) to secure the engine air filter unit (10) on at least one body panel (7, 71, 72) of the vehicle, a pre-separator fluidically connected to the main filter. The main filter (14) is arranged on a side of the mounting base (15) and the pre-separator (18) is arranged on the opposite side of the mounting base (15). The pre-separator housing is at least partly formed by the mounting base (15) and an air duct (19) extends through the mounting base (15) to fluidically connect the pre-separator to the filtration chamber.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AN AIRBOX
Methods and systems are provided for an airbox. In one example, the airbox is a single piece comprising features to receive and retain a platform for an air filter. The airbox comprises curved elastomers which engage with coupling elements of the platform.
FILTER RESTRICTION INDICATOR
Embodiments herein relate to filter restriction indicator (100) for a filtration system. In an embodiment, a filter restriction indicator (100) can have an electronics control cartridge (800) including an internal spacer frame (304), a first circuit board (346), a second circuit board (302) disposed over the first circuit board (346), and a pressure sensor (336) in electrical communication with the first circuit board (346). A filter fluid tube (318) defines a filter fluid channel (348) in fluid communication with the pressure sensor (336). The internal spacer frame (304) can secure the first circuit board (346) at a fixed distance from the second circuit board (302). A lower housing (108) defines an ambient pressure port (310). A cap (102) defines an interior volume (332) into which the electronics control cartridge fits (800). The cap (102) can define a shielding panel (112) configured to fit over an exterior portion of the ambient pressure port (336) when the cap (102) is engaged with the lower housing (108). Air intake assembly and methods thereof
Disclosed herein are air intake assemblies for internal combustion engines. In some embodiments, an air intake assembly includes an air filter configured to produce filtered air, a sealed filter housing configured to house the air filter therein, and an intake tube configured to convey the filtered air to an internal combustion engine. The filter housing includes an air intake port configured to provide intake air to the air filter. The air filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the intake air and produce the filtered air. The air filter includes a multi-component coupling interface configured to accept an intake-end portion of the intake tube in the coupling interface. The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interface of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.
AIR CLEANER HOUSING FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to an air cleaner housing for a vehicle, comprising an outer and an inner circumferential wall, and a space therebetween adapted to house at least one filter element for filtering air, wherein the inner circumferential wall is provided with openings to allow filtered air to pass radially inwardly through the inner circumferential wall. The air cleaner housing comprises a first end and an open second end for fluidly connecting the air cleaner housing to a turbo, the open second end being located opposite the first end. The air cleaner housing comprises a resonator, wherein the entire resonator is encircled by the inner circumferential wall such that air entering through the inner circumferential wall passes on the outside of the resonator to and through the open second end.
FILTER ELEMENT FOR MOUNTING IN AN AIR CLEANER HOUSING OF A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a filter element for mounting in an air cleaner housing of a vehicle. The filter element comprises a circumferential filtering wall through which air is allowed to enter. The filter element also comprises a first end and an open second end for fluidly connecting the filter element to a turbo. The open second end is located opposite the first end. The circumferential filtering wall extends from the first end towards the open second end. The filter element further comprises a resonator. The entire resonator is encircled by the circumferential filtering wall such that air entering through the circumferential filtering wall passes on the outside of the resonator to and through the open second end.

Disclosed herein are air intake assemblies for internal combustion engines. In some embodiments, an air intake assembly includes an air filter configured to produce filtered air, a sealed filter housing configured to house the air filter therein, and an intake tube configured to convey the filtered air to an internal combustion engine. The filter housing includes an air intake port configured to provide intake air to the air filter. The air filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the intake air and produce the filtered air. The air filter includes a multi-component coupling interface configured to accept an intake-end portion of the intake tube in the coupling interface. The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interface of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.
Multi-cyclone separator of a multi-stage fluid filter for cleaning gaseous fluid and multi-stage fluid filter
A multi-cyclone separator of a multi-stage fluid filter for cleaning gaseous fluid is provided with a plurality of cyclone cells for separating particles and/or liquid from the gaseous fluid. The cyclone cells each have an inlet for the gaseous fluid to be purified, an outlet for the gaseous fluid freed of particles and liquid, and at least one discharge window discharging the separated particles and liquid. At least one discharge chamber is provided, and the discharge windows of the cyclone cells open into the at least one discharge chamber. At least one discharge opening leads out of the at least one discharge chamber. The at least one discharge chamber tapers in a funnel shape toward the at least one discharge opening. A multi-stage fluid filter is provided with the multi-cyclone separator that is arranged upstream of a main filter of the multi-stage fluid filter.
