AIR INTAKE DUCT
A vertically extending air intake duct 1 on a rear of a cab 2 in a delivery vehicle to take in ambient air for an engine through an air intake 3 has a duct body 4 as outer shell with the intake 3 on an upper portion, a side branch section 5 on a lower portion of the body 4 and having upper and lower ends opened in the body 4 and outside, respectively, a mesh member 6 extending over the intake 3 to collect rainwater, a louver 7 for covering the member 6 and the intake 3 to prevent intrusion of matter other than ambient air, and a drip channel or bead 8 on an inner wall of the body 4 and just below the member 6 to capture and guide rainwater flowing down on the inner wall to the upper end of the section 5.
Intake apparatus and dump truck
An intake apparatus includes: an air cleaner unit purifying air sucked from a suction port and discharge the air from a discharge port; a junction pipe section having a plurality of inlet ports while having a single outlet port, each of the inlet ports being connected to the discharge port of the air cleaner unit; a tapered pipe section connected to the outlet port of the junction pipe section and having an inner diameter gradually decreased toward a downstream; a straight pipe section connected to a downstream side of the tapered pipe section and having a constant inner diameter; and an air meter provided in the straight pipe section.
Straddled vehicle
A straddled vehicle includes a duct part formed integrally with a lower case of an air cleaner and extending forward from the lower case in a vehicle front-rear direction, and a side cover including a duct formation portion placed outward of the duct part in a vehicle width direction. At least a portion of the side cover is assembled onto the duct part. A duct is defined by the duct part and the duct formation portion of the side cover.
Two-wheeled vehicle
An engine includes a first cylinder communicating with a first intake port and a first exhaust port, and an exhaust assembly coupled to the engine and including a first exhaust manifold coupled to the first exhaust port. The first exhaust manifold is angled relative to the first exhaust port.
Motor vehicle having a frame-like assembly carrier as a component of a bodywork in the front end region
A motor vehicle having a frame-like assembly carrier as a component of a bodywork in the front end region of the motor vehicle which is driven by means of an internal combustion engine. The assembly carrier has an inner side and an outer side and includes a plurality of web-like carriers. In the installation position of the assembly carrier, two lateral carriers spaced apart from each other are connected by an upper carrier with a frame being formed. The upper web-like carrier has at least one air passage defined by the upper carrier which leads from the outer side to the inner side of the assembly carrier. A suction system is arranged on the inner side of the assembly carrier for supplying the internal combustion engine with air. At least one air inlet opening of the suction system adjoins at least one air passage of the upper carrier.
Air intake assembly for motorcycle
An air intake assembly includes a filter element and an intake conduit. The intake conduit includes a first end forming an inlet opening. The first end supports the filter element. The intake conduit also includes a second end forming an outlet opening and being adapted for attachment to an internal combustion engine. The intake conduit further includes a body defining a central axis extending between the first and second ends. A first lateral dimension of the body is taken transverse to the central axis, adjacent the inlet opening, within a plane that intersects both the inlet and outlet openings. A second lateral dimension of the body is taken transverse to the central axis, adjacent the outlet opening, within the plane. The first lateral dimension is less than the second lateral dimension.
Motorcycle
An air cleaner is disposed at the front part of an intake space below a seat. A battery box containing a battery is disposed on the rear side relative to the air cleaner in the intake space. The battery box is disposed with a rearward tilt and on the intake upstream side of the air cleaner and a corner part of the battery box at the lower front end thereof is disposed close to the air cleaner with the intermediary of a slight gap. The battery in the battery box is located in a flow of intake air sucked into the air cleaner and is efficiently cooled. The battery box includes an opening wherein part of the outer surface of the battery and a degassing part face the opening. An anti-diffusion cover part, continuous with an edge of the opening, covers the degassing part.
Work machine with directional air intake assembly
A work machine, such as a skid steer loader or a compact track loader, includes a directional air intake assembly with a directional cap positioned on an intake pipe for selectively drawing ambient air into an internal combustion engine. A cooling vent ejects air heated by a rear-mounted engine upwardly into the atmosphere. Extending higher than and adjacent to the cooling vent, the directional cap has an elongated head that blocks ingress to the intake pipe other than through an opening at a face of the cap. Selectively positioning and angling the opening between a side of the loader and an edge of the cooling vent avoids taking in debris from near the wheels or tracks, avoids taking in heated air from the cooling vent, and takes advantage of negative pressure caused by the updraft from the cooling vent to remove particulates, resulting in cleaner air for the engine at close to ambient temperature.
Generator enclosure air intake with damper
A system includes a generator and an enclosure surrounding the generator, the generator having an air intake and an inside surface. The system also includes an air intake housing affixed to the inside surface of the enclosure and fluidly connected to the air intake, the air intake housing terminating in an air intake housing inner plate positioned at inner edge of the air intake housing. The air intake housing inner plate has a plurality of air intake holes. In addition, the system includes a damper, the damper abutting the air intake housing inner plate, the damper having a plurality of damper holes. The damper is adapted to slide along the air intake housing inner plate.
Air Conduction System of an Internal Combustion Engine
An air conduction system includes an air collecting chamber, a first air inlet, an additional air inlet, and a buoyancy body. Air is supplyable to the air collecting chamber by said air inlets. The first air inlet has an air control valve via which the air inlet is selectively closed. The additional air inlet has an additional air control valve via which the additional air inlet is selectively closed. A buoyancy body is provided which is movable via a geodetically rising water level and which is operatively connected to a closure element of the air control valve of the first air inlet. The closure element is convertible from an open state, in which the first air inlet is fluidically connected to the air collecting chamber, into a closed state, in which said fluidic connection is interrupted, when the water level rises. The closure element comprises the buoyancy body.
