The connecting member is fixed to the first downstream portion and the second downstream portion by a bolt, and an other member that is a member other than the intake manifold is fixed to the intake manifold through the stay at least either between the connecting member and the first downstream portion, or between the connecting member and the second downstream portion.

The intercooler component has a rectangular heat exchanger core for cooling air with a liquid, and the heat exchanger core has a first face for entry of uncooled air and a second opposing face for exit of cooled air. A first rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure is secured to the periphery of the first face and a second intercooler rectangular mounting flange structure is secured to the periphery of the second face. The first rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure and the second rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure are of approximately the same size and geometry, and the first rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure and the second rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure have substantially identical plural spaced-apart symmetrically distributed bolt apertures. The first rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure comprises a first L-shaped core mounting flange and a second L-shaped core mounting flange, the second rectangular intercooler mounting flange structure comprises a third L-shaped core mounting flange and a fourth L-shaped core mounting flange, and the first L-shaped core mounting flange, the second L-shaped mounting flange, the third L-shaped mounting flange and the fourth L-shaped core mounting flange all have approximately the same size and geometry. Engine

The gas chamber extends from a first end portion toward a second end portion in a direction of an axial line of the crankshaft and distributes gas into the plurality of cylinders. The heat shielding member is provided in the gas chamber. The heat shielding member extends from the first end portion toward the second end portion and shields heat radiated from an inner wall surface of the gas chamber.

An engine includes a plurality of cylinders, a gas chamber, and a heat shielding member. The plurality of cylinders are provided along a crankshaft. The gas chamber extends from a first end portion toward a second end portion in a direction of an axial line of the crankshaft and distributes gas into the plurality of cylinders. The heat shielding member is provided in the gas chamber. The heat shielding member extends from the first end portion toward the second end portion and shields heat radiated from an inner wall surface of the gas chamber.
