Tank lid unit and fuel supply device
A circuit housing portion integrally molded above a lid main body portion has a bottom portion, which forms a vent space with the lid main body portion, and a vent hole, which extends through a portion between a protection space and an external space in the side portion. In a terminal, in which an intermediate portion is embedded in a bottom portion to extend between a fuel pump and a drive circuit through the bottom portion, an interface between the bottom portion and the intermediate portion is exposed to a protection space above the vent hole. A liquid-impermeable and gas-permeable membrane is mounted on an outer surface of the side portion to cover the vent hole to allow the fuel vapor to be discharged from the vent hole to the external space and to restrict liquid from entering the vent hole from the external space.
FUEL DELIVERY INJECTOR
A fuel delivery injector includes a housing, an end cap including an inlet port fluidly coupled to a cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel into the cavity and an outlet port fluidly coupled to the cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel out of the cavity, a magnetic assembly fixedly positioned within the cavity, and a pumping assembly including a bobbin and a piston. A return spring is coupled to the pumping assembly to bias the pumping assembly to a home position and a valve assembly including a biasing spring is positioned between an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. The end cap includes a protrusion extending therefrom and terminating at an end face, the end face proximate the magnetic assembly and the protrusion is configured to redirect fuel vapor toward the outlet port.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE FOR ENGINE INJECTION AND EXHAUST-GAS AFTERTREATMENT
A fuel supply device (2), in particular for use in a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine (20), has a fuel supply pump (4) which is designed to remove fuel (28) from a fuel tank (6) and to release said fuel under increased pressure through an outlet; a first fluid connection (7) which is provided for connecting an exhaust line metering device (8) and; a second fluid connection (10) which is provided for connecting an engine injection device (12). The first fluid connection (7) is directly connected to the outlet of the fuel supply pump (4). A fluid choke (16) is arranged between the outlet of the fuel supply pump (4) and the second fluid connection (10). The invention enables an exhaust line metering device (8) and an engine injection device (12) to be operated reliably on a common fuel supply device (2).
FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A FUEL PUMP OF A FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The subject matter described here relates to a method, a controller and computer program product for controlling a fuel pump of a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, and a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine.
The problem to be solved is not being provided with an efficient fuel supply system capable of supplying various types of fuels without bubble formation under different environmental conditions.
The method comprises the steps of measuring a pressure of a fuel in the fuel supply system by a first measuring means; measuring a temperature of the fuel by a second measuring means; measuring a physical parameter of the fuel by a third measuring means; determining, by a control unit, a fuel type based on the measured physical parameter of the fuel, a vapor pressure of the fuel based on the determined fuel type and the measured temperature, and a pressure amplitude of the measured pressure; calculating, by the control unit, a first target pressure value as a sum of the determined vapor pressure, the determined pressure amplitude and a predetermined pressure margin, and a pressure difference between the first target pressure value and a predetermined second target pressure value; and if the calculated pressure difference is greater than zero, adjusting, by the control unit, a control value for controlling an operating point of the fuel pump based on the calculated pressure difference.
Fuel tank lid and fuel pump module having the same
A fuel tank lid includes a lid part and a terminal. The lid part includes an inserted part inserted into an opening of a fuel tank, and a storage part storing a drive circuit. The terminal has a central portion covered by the inserted part and the storage part, a first end connected to a pump, and a second end connected to the drive circuit. The storage part includes a side wall that has a first opening and a second opening, an upper closure part that closes the first opening, and a lower closure part that closes the second opening. The fuel tank lid further includes a discharge structure positioned vertically lower than the upper closure part and discharging a fuel vapor that has travelled along an interface between the terminal and the lid part and entered a hollow space of the storage part, to an external atmosphere.

Fuel pump module mounted with controller
Disclosed herein is a vehicle fuel pump module. The vehicle fuel pump module is configured such that a controller is spaced apart from a plate body installed so as to be exposed out of a fuel tank by a support member and an air gap is provided between the plate body and the controller. Consequently, a gas generated from a fuel in the fuel tank is discharged to the atmosphere by an outdoor air circulating the air gap and thus it may be possible to prevent the gas from affecting electronic parts of the controller.
