High pressure fuel pump and associated drive device
The present disclosure relates to internal combustion engines in general. Some embodiments may include a drive device for a high-pressure fuel pump of an internal combustion engine. It may include an eccentric ring in frictional connection with a drive shaft for converting a rotational movement of the drive shaft about a drive shaft rotational axis into a translational movement; a tappet spaced apart from the eccentric ring for passing on the translational movement from the eccentric ring; and at least two pivoting bodies disposed between the eccentric ring surface and the tappet surface and in contact with the eccentric ring surface and with the tappet surface. The eccentric ring may include at least one flat eccentric ring surface. The tappet may include at least one flat tappet surface. The pivoting bodies may each include a respective extension axis running parallel to the drive shaft rotational axis and pivot about the extension axis.

Solenoid having selective latch for solenoid-actuated valve
A solenoid for a solenoid-actuated valve includes a coil, a flux tube, a pole piece disposed axially from the flux tube and encircled by the coil, a movable armature disposed in the flux tube and the pole piece, and a latch disposed between the flux tube and the pole piece to selectively latch the armature into at least one position.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM
A high pressure fuel pump includes: a pump body that forms a suction passage and a pressurizing chamber and slidably supports a plunger; and a control valve that opens a connection between the suction passage and the pressurizing chamber in a suction stroke, during which the plunger is driven toward a suction side for suctioning fuel into the pressurizing chamber, while the control valve controls closing timing, at which the connection between the suction passage and the pressurizing chamber is closed by the control valve in a delivery stroke, during which the plunger is driven toward a delivery side for delivering the fuel out of the pressurizing chamber. The pump body forms a release passage that is communicated with the suction passage. The release passage relieves the fuel, which is pressurized by the plunger, from the pressurizing chamber before the closing timing during the delivery stroke.
HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP
The invention relates to a high-pressure pump (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, for conveying a fluid, in particular fuel, e.g. diesel fuel, comprising a drive shaft having at least one cam, at least one piston, at least one cylinder (6) for mounting the at least one cam, wherein the at least one piston is supported on the drive shaft by the at least one cam, so that a translational motion can be carried out by the at least one cam as a result of a rotary motion of the drive shaft, at least one cover cap (8), which is attached indirectly or directly to the outside of the cylinder (6), wherein one end (18) of the at least one cover cap (8) rests on a projection (16) of the remaining high-pressure pump (1) for the interlocking attachment of the end (18) of the cover cap (8) to the projection (16).
