Fuel supply device
In a fuel supply device including a regulator and float-type level sensor, a fitting tube is formed integrally with an upper housing, a fuel pump being retained between the upper and lower housings. An outer periphery of a base part of the regulator is fitted into the tube. A regulator retaining member is formed as a separate member from the upper housing and retains the regulator in cooperation with the tube. The tube and the retaining member are joined via a snap-fit join part provided on fitting parts therebetween. The snap-fit join part is formed by engaging a projecting portion or a recess part, formed on an elastic piece provided on one of the fitting parts between the retaining member and the tube, with the recess part or the projecting portion formed on the other fitting part. A sensor support arm is molded as a unit with the retaining member.
Fuel pump and combination outlet and pressure relief valve thereof
An outlet and pressure relief valve assembly for a fuel pump includes a housing which extends along an axis from an inner end to an outer end. The housing has a bore which extends thereinto along the axis from the inner end. A valve seat is located within the bore and has an end wall which is transverse to the axis and also has a sidewall which is annular in shape and extends away from the end wall. An outlet flow passage extends through the end wall such that the outlet flow passage is centered about the axis. A pressure relief flow passage extends through the end wall such that the pressure relief flow passage is laterally spaced from the outlet flow passage. An outlet valve member is located within the valve seat sidewall and a pressure relief valve member is located between the valve seat and the inner end.
FLUID PUMP AND OUTLET CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY THEREOF
A fluid pump includes a housing; an inlet passage; an outlet conduit; a pumping element within the housing; and a check valve assembly. The check valve assembly includes a valve stem within the outlet conduit such that a flow path is created radially between the outlet conduit and the valve stem, the valve stem moving along a check valve assembly axis between a closed position and an open position. The flow path includes a first restriction which increases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; a first expansion, downstream of the first restriction, which decreases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; a second restriction, downstream of the first expansion, which increases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path; and a second expansion, downstream of the second restriction, which decreases velocity of fluid passing through the flow path.
Fuel sending unit assembly and operation
A fuel pump, is disclosed, including a power group having a housing, a coil, a pole piece and a movable armature; a valve group including a valve body, a plunger connected to the armature, a bushing in which the plunger is disposed, an inlet chamber, an outlet chamber, a pump chamber, an inlet valve disposed between the inlet chamber and the pump chamber and an outlet valve disposed between the pump chamber and the outlet valve; and an inlet filter coupled to a fluid inlet of the valve group. The inlet filter is disposed relative to the coil such that when the fuel pump is disposed within a fuel tank, a bottom of the inlet filter as oriented in the fuel tank is disposed above a fuel level in the fuel tank and the coil is at least partly submerged in the fuel.
HIGH PRESSURE COMMON RAIL FUEL PUMP OUTLET CHECK VALVE SPRING RETAINER METHOD
The present disclosure generally relates to a pumping element of a fuel pump for an internal combustion engine wherein the pumping element comprises a first flow chamber; a second flow chamber in fluid connection with the first flow chamber, the second flow chamber including a shoulder; a check valve including a first insert and a second insert, the first insert being movable between a first position wherein the first insert forms a seal that inhibits fluid flow between the first and second flow chambers and a second position wherein the first insert permits fluid flow between the first and second flow chambers, the second insert being inserted into the second flow chamber to an extent limited by the shoulder; and a spring having a first end engaging the first insert and a second end engaging the second insert; wherein the first insert moves from the first position to the second position against a biasing force of the spring in response to pressurized fluid in the first flow chamber.
Discharge valve mechanism and high-pressure fuel supply pump including the same
Provided is a discharge valve mechanism capable of improving responsiveness when a discharge valve is opened, and a high-pressure fuel supply pump including the discharge valve mechanism.
Fuel Pump for a Direct Injection System
A valve assembly for a fuel pump and having: a one-way outlet closing valve, which only allows fuel to flow out; a one-way pressure relief valve, which only allows fuel to flow in; a connector, which has a housing on the inside; and a valve disc, which engages the housing of the connector and has a plurality of through outlet holes and a through relief hole. A shutter of the outlet closing valve consists of a flexible sheet, which is fixed to the valve disc and has: a plurality of shutting portions arranged in the area of the outlet holes; a peripheral mounting portion with an annular shape; a plurality of outer connection portions, each connecting the peripheral mounting portion to a corresponding shutting portion; a central mounting portion; and a plurality of inner connection portions, each connecting the central mounting portion to a corresponding shutting portion.
Fuel Pump for a Direct Injection System
A valve assembly for a fuel pump and having: a one-way outlet closing valve, which only allows fuel to flow out; a one-way pressure relief valve, which only allows fuel to flow in; a connector, which has a housing on the inside; a valve disc, which engages the housing of the connector and has a plurality of through outlet holes and a through relief hole; an annular body which is arranged in the housing of the connector and has a central through hole; a spring, which is part of the pressure relief valve, is arranged in the central hole of the annular body and pushes a shutter of the pressure relief valve; and a connection element interposed between the shutter of the pressure relief valve and the spring. The central hole of the annular body has an annular protuberance which constitutes a limit stop that limits the travel of the connection element.
Fuel system diaphragm valve
A fuel line check valve system and a fuel system that includes the fuel line diaphragm valve system are described. The fuel line diaphragm valve system may prevent flow into a fuel system that is generated via a vacuum in the fuel system. The fuel line diaphragm valve may also remain in an open state after it is open via a reduced pressure.
High-Pressure Fuel Pump for a Fuel Injection System of an Internal Combustion Engine
A high-pressure fuel pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The fuel pump includes a pump housing and a pump cover which is mounted on the pump housing and which, together with the pump housing, delimits a low-pressure chamber. A recess is formed in the pump housing, in which recess a pressure-limiting valve is located. The recess is fluidically connected to the low-pressure chamber via a channel. The channel has the same or a larger cross-section at its end facing the low-pressure chamber than at its end facing the recess.
