FUEL SYSTEM AND FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL STRATEGY FOR STABILIZED INJECTION CONTROL VALVE CLOSING
A fuel system includes a fuel injector, and a fueling control unit electrically connected to a solenoid actuator in the fuel injector. The fueling control unit is structured to energize and deenergize the solenoid actuator to lift and return an armature coupled with an injection control valve. The fueling control unit also reenergizes the solenoid actuator with an armature retarding current while the armature is in flight to stabilize closing of the injection control valve. The armature retarding current can be used to electronically trim the fuel injector to limit an error in a quantity of injected fuel.
High-pressure fuel pump
Provided is a high-pressure fuel pump that ensures oil tightness even at high fuel pressure and has a small and lightweight inexpensive discharge valve structure. Therefore, a high-pressure fuel pump according to the present invention includes: a discharge valve arranged on a discharge side of a pressurizing chamber; a discharge valve seat on which the discharge valve is seated; and a facing member configured independently as a separate member from the discharge valve seat and located on an opposite side of the discharge valve seat with the discharge valve interposed therebetween, in which a stroke direction regulating portion that regulates displacement of the discharge valve in a stroke direction is formed on a tapered surface of the facing member.
INJECTOR UNIT FOR THE INJECTION OF FUEL, AND METHOD FOR THE OPERATION OF AN INJECTOR UNIT OF THIS TYPE
The injector unit according to the disclosure comprises a seat plate with a through opening extending through the seat plate, an armature element which can be placed onto the seat plate, in order to close the through opening, a spring element pushing the armature element in the direction of the seat plate, in order to close the through opening, an electromagnet designed to load the armature element with a force, in order to lift the armature element from the seat plate, and a stop for limiting a stroke of the armature element in a state in which it is lifted from the seat plate. The injector unit is characterized by a control unit designed to reduce an actuating signal of the electromagnet for lifting the armature element from the seat plate before the armature element contacts the stop for the first time after being lifted from the seat plate.
Valve for metering a fluid
A valve for metering a fluid is described, which is used, in particular, as a fuel injector for internal combustion engines, including an electromagnetic actuator and a valve needle actuatable by the actuator, an armature of the actuator being guided on valve needle, a stop element which limits a movement of the armature relative to the valve needle being situated on the valve needle, and the armature including a spring receptacle which is open toward the stop element and in which a spring supported on the stop element is inserted. The valve needle is guided via the armature and/or the stop element along a longitudinal axis of a housing. Furthermore, as viewed along the longitudinal axis, a length of the spring receptacle is smaller than a spring length of the spring in the non-actuated initial state.
Fuel injector
The present disclosure relates to a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a combustion engine. It may comprise a valve with a movable needle, two springs pushing the needle toward the closed position, and an actuator for opening the valve. The needle may be in a fuel reservoir of a valve body. The actuator may supply pressurized fuel to the fuel reservoir so that the fuel pressure forces the needle away from the closed position against the spring force of the first spring or the first and second springs, respectively. There may be play between the second spring and the needle when the needle is in the closed position.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WITH MECHANICAL PRESSURE REGULATION
A high pressure fuel pump includes an inlet metering valve arranged to control a quantity of fuel delivered to the pumping chamber during retracting motion of the pumping plunger. The inlet metering valve includes a metering valve member movable between a closed position and an open position, movement of the metering valve member from the closed position to the open position defining a variable flow area that increases as the metering valve member moves from the closed position toward the open position. An actuator piston in an actuator bore is exposed to pressure in the common rail. The actuator piston is biased toward a first position corresponding to low pressure in the common rail and movable toward a second position corresponding to maximum pressure in the common rail. The actuator piston includes a valve stop that determines a metering position of the metering valve member.
Discharge valve mechanism and high-pressure fuel supply pump including the same
Provided is a discharge valve mechanism capable of improving responsiveness when a discharge valve is opened, and a high-pressure fuel supply pump including the discharge valve mechanism.

Electromagnetic fuel injection valve
An electromagnetic fuel injection valve includes: a valve body having a rod connected to a valve part; a movable core fitted onto the rod slidably between valve-open side and valve-closed side stoppers; a fixed core having an attracting face opposing the movable core; a valve spring urging the valve body in a valve-closing direction; and an auxiliary spring exhibiting a spring force that urges the movable core to separate from the valve-open side stopper and abut against the valve-closed side stopper when a coil is unenergized. A first curved face part is protruded from a surface, opposing the movable core, of the fixed core, and a second curved face part is provided in an outer peripheral part of a surface, opposing the movable core, of the valve-open side stopper, the first and second curved face parts each having an arcuate cross-section and being capable of abutting against the movable core.
