High-pressure fuel pump for a fuel system for an internal combustion engine
A high-pressure fuel pump for a fuel delivery system of an internal combustion engine includes a pressure limiting valve positioned between an outlet and an inlet of the pump. The valve includes a spring-loaded closing element and a closing body that radially holds the closing element in place, and that has a concave receiving portion configured to at least partially receive the closing element. The receiving portion has a radially outer first area with a first opening angle, and a radially inner second area with a second opening angle larger than the first opening angle. The first area and the second area are located outside of a contact region between the closing element and the closing body.
Valve device for controlling or metering a fluid
A valve device for controlling or metering a fluid includes a housing, a flow duct formed in the housing, and a valve body arranged in the flow duct. The valve body has a sealing section which, when the valve device is closed, rests on a sealing seat on the housing. The sealing section and sealing seat together form a sealing region. When the valve device is closed, a decay chamber is defined immediately upstream of the sealing region in the flow duct. The decay chamber is bounded by a baffle wall that is tilted with respect to the normal to the sealing region at an angle of at most 15 in the flow direction to 60 counter to the flow direction.
High pressure gas phase injector
An injector, including: a moveable armature having a bore and upper and lower control surfaces; a lower housing including a bore and upper and lower stationary control surfaces; and a flow geometry defined along an exterior of the armature. The armature includes a transverse flow path fluidly coupled with the armature bore and the flow geometry. The lower housing includes a transverse flow path fluidly coupled with the lower housing bore. Upon moving the armature from a first position to a second position, a first flow path is formed between the flow geometry and the lower housing transverse flow geometry through a space between the lower stationary control surface and the lower armature control surface, and a second flow path is formed between the armature bore and the lower housing transverse flow geometry through a space between the upper stationary control surface and the armature upper control surface.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE
A fuel injection valve includes a body that includes an injection hole through which fuel is injected, and a valve element that opens or closes the injection hole. The body includes a metallic base material configured to form the injection hole, a corrosion-resistant layer covering a surface of at least a part of the base material that forms the injection hole and being made of a less corrosive material than the base material, and a diffusion deterring layer located between the base material and the corrosion-resistant layer and made of a material that less easily allows a metal component of the base material to diffuse than the material of the corrosion-resistant layer.
Solenoid valve for a fuel injection system, and high pressure fuel pump
There is disclosed a solenoid valve for a fuel injection system, in which solenoid valve a closing element which interacts with a valve seat in order to close and open the solenoid valve is actuated by a control pin, the control pin being formed by way of a solenoid plunger. Furthermore, a high pressure fuel pump is disclosed which has a solenoid valve of this type.
Control valve assembly and fuel injector incorporating a control valve assembly
A control valve assembly for controlling fuel pressure in a control chamber of a fuel injector. The control valve assembly comprising a valve member arranged in a bore provided in a valve housing, at least one of the valve member and the valve housing being moveable with respect to the other, wherein the valve member comprises a fuel-receiving cavity arranged to receive fuel that distorts at least a portion of the valve member so as to increase an external dimension thereof.
High-pressure fuel pump
An object is to suppress cavitation generated at a distal end portion of a seat face when a valve body and a seat portion collide with each other. In a relief valve of a fuel pump, an intersection between the seat face and a flow channel hole is formed at a position more distant than the seat portion formed of the valve body in a valve closing state and the seat face in order to suppress generation of cavitation bubbles when the valve body improves and releases high-pressure fuel.
ENGINES AND PUMPS WITH MOTIONLESS ONE-WAY VALVE
Embodiments of apparatus for controlling the movement of matter, including but not limited to one-way fluid valves, are disclosed. The apparatus may include a transition nozzle, a funnel nozzle, and a reverse flow blocker arranged in series in a case. A counter-flow area may be disposed about the funnel nozzle. The apparatus may permit matter to flow in a first direction, and discourage or prevent flow in a direction reverse to the first direction. Control over the flow of matter also may enable matter to be harvested, sorted, separated or combined with injected matter.

DEVICE FOR METERING FUEL
The invention relates to a device for metering two different liquid or gaseous fuels, comprising a nozzle element (4) in which a first pressure chamber (6) that can be filled with a first fuel is formed, wherein an outer nozzle needle (10) is received in the pressure chamber in a longitudinally movable manner. The outer nozzle needle (10) is equipped with a second pressure chamber (12) which can be filled with a second fuel and in which an inner nozzle needle (15) is arranged in a longitudinally movable manner, said inner nozzle needle interacting with an inner nozzle seal (16) formed in the outer nozzle needle (10) in older to open and close at least one inner injection opening (17). Furthermore, at least one outer injection opening (13) is provided which can be connected to the first pressure chamber (6), the at least one outer injection opening (13) being formed in the outer nozzle needle (10).
