Electromagnetic switch device for starter
Provide an electromagnetic switch device for a starter, by which a winding fluctuation of a plurality of coils, of which wire diameters are different from each other, is prevented, which can be downsized and can be produced with a low cost. A bobbin, at which winding portions are separated by using a first flange portion which includes a first notch portion, second notch portions, and third notch portions, by which coils are led out, and a first separation wall and a second separation wall, which include the second notch portions and the third notch portions, by which coils are led out, is included, and a main aspiration holding coil, a sub-aspiration holding coil, and a resistance coil, of which wire diameters are different from each other, which are respectively wound around a first winding portion, a second winding portion, and a third winding portion, which are separated, are provided.
Starter Solenoid Contact Health Monitor
An ignition system for outdoor power equipment driven by a petrol or gasoline engine may include a safety interlock system, a starter motor, a starter solenoid having an activation coil, and a solenoid monitor. The ignition system may be configured to selectively apply power to start the engine based on application of a start attempt. The safety interlock system may be operable to actuate the starter solenoid via the activation coil to apply current to the starter motor for starting the engine during the start attempt. The solenoid monitor may be configured to determine a status of the activation coil and starter solenoid contacts and provide a fault indication based on the status determined.
STARTER SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IN A VEHICLE
A starter system for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle includes a starter (12), a voltage source (14) for supplying the starter (12) with electrical energy in a start operating state and a down converter (22). The down converter (22) provides a start operating voltage for the starter (12) in the start operating state by down-converting a supply voltage provided by the voltage source (14).
POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR WATERCRAFT
A power supply system for a watercraft includes a first battery, a second battery, and a battery management device. The battery management device connects the first battery to a first engine to supply an electric power from the first battery to start the first engine. The battery management device connects the second battery to a second engine and a third engine to supply an electric power from the second battery to start the second engine and the third engine.
Engine start system of hybrid vehicle and method for controlling the same
An engine start system of a hybrid vehicle includes a converter circuit unit converting voltage and outputting the converted voltage and a switch having a first terminal connected to an output terminal of the converter circuit unit and a second terminal selectively forming an electrical connection with the first terminal. A diode has an anode connected to the second terminal and a cathode connected to the first terminal. A battery is connected to the second terminal. A low-voltage starter connected to the battery and provides rotary power to start an engine in a stopped state by converting battery power into rotational energy. A controller opens the switch and supplies driving power to the low-voltage starter when the engine is started.
On-Board Starting Module for Vehicle Engine
A starting module for a vehicle is provided. The starting module is configured to reside on-board the vehicle, and is used to start an engine associated with the vehicle in the event the battery on the vehicle is too weak to crank the engine. The engine starting module first comprises a housing. The housing resides proximate the vehicle battery and holds a plurality of super capacitors. The super capacitors reside within the housing, in series, and are electrically in parallel with the vehicle battery. The super capacitors store charge received from the electrical system of the vehicle. The starting module also includes control logic. The control logic controls the release of energy from the super capacitors. The engine starting module also comprises an isolation switch, which is configured to move between open and close positions in response to signals from the control logic.
Starter contactor comprising a sealing device and starter comprising such a contactor
A starter switch (2) comprises a housing (3) extending along an axis (X) that delimits at least one interior space (4), at least one coil (5) housed in said interior space (4), at least one fixed core (10) passed through by a shaft (6) that is movable in translation along the direction of the axis (X) and at least one cavity (12) comprising an electrical connection area, said cavity being separated from the interior space (4) by the fixed core (10). The starter (1) switch (2) comprises at least one sealing device (22) providing a seal between the interior space (4) of the starter (1) switch (2) and the cavity (12) comprising the connection area.
Starter motor system for a vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for a starter motor system for cranking an engine. In one example, a starter motor system includes, a battery, two electric motors arranged in series, two main contactors, two auxiliary contactors, and two solenoid contactors. Each of the two electric starter motors may be simultaneously energized to crank the engine in tandem after the pinion gears of both the electric motors are coupled to the ring gear of the engine.
Starter motor with integrated solid state switch
A starter motor connected to a power supply and operable to start an internal combustion engine includes an outer housing and a solid state switching device associated with the outer housing. The outer housing encloses a commutator and a series of brushes. The solid state switching device is movable between an open position and a closed position. The current flow from the power supply through the commutator is prevented when the solid state switching device is in the open position.
External starter motor
An external starter motor for an internal combustion engine, comprising: a power supply; an electric motor for producing torque; a dog rotatable by the electric motor and adapted to be axially movable into and out of engagement with a starting mechanism to turn over the internal combustion engine; and a circuit for detecting the presence of an output signal from the internal combustion engine and energising the external starter motor by the power supply when detecting the presence of the signal.
