The cutting edge has a straight or curved configuration and the blade surface has a mounting section. The toothing of the cutting edge is varied along its length with regard to the tooth pitch and/or the tooth geometry.
AGRICULTURAL BALING MACHINES
An agricultural system including an agricultural baler and a control unit. The agricultural baler includes a pick-up arrangement for collecting plant matter. The pick-up arrangement includes a roller for feeding crop into the baler. The baler further includes a pick-up drive shaft for moving the roller at a desired rotational speed. The pick-up drive shaft is connected to the roller by a clutch for selectively transferring power between the pick-up drive shaft and the roller. The control unit is configured to: receive clutch-status-data indicative of an engagement status of the clutch; determine a speed-control-signal for varying the rotational speed of the pick-up drive shaft based on the clutch-status-data; and provide the speed-control-signal to a driveline for driving the pick-up drive shaft.
Rotor Knife Insert Assistant
A crop cutting device including a crop guiding surface, a plurality of parallel knives, and an actuating mechanism for moving the knives between a retracted inoperative position below the crop guiding surface and an extended operative position. A portion of the knives projects above the crop guiding surface. A plurality of movable operating members is associated with respective ones of the plurality of knives and movable from a first position in which the knives are in the retracted inoperative position, to a second position in which the knives are in the extended operative position. A support frame holds the operating members in a sliding relation to the support frame. The knife insert assistant is coupled to the support frame and configured for blocking a sliding movement of the operating members relative to the support frame during a movement of the support frame from the retracted position to the employed position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREPARING NIR SAMPLE ON BALER
A baler includes a near-infrared testing system configured to receive near-infrared radiation reflected by plant material in a bale and to analyze the near-infrared radiation and generate evaluation data reflecting one or more properties of the plant material. The near-infrared testing system is calibrated using a calibration sample at a calibration temperature. A temperature sensor measures a sample temperature of a crop sample of the plant material and a temperature alteration mechanism adjusts the sample temperature of the crop sample so that the sample temperature matches the calibration temperature of the calibration sample before the near-infrared testing system receives the near-infrared radiation reflected by the plant material. A computer receives and combine the evaluation data of the plant material to produce overall evaluation data reflecting one or more overall properties for the at least one bale of the plurality of bales, and assign the overall evaluation data to the bale.
ROUND BALER WITH PRE-CUTTER AND CROP DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
A baler includes a housing forming a baling chamber. The baling chamber has an inlet that defines an inlet width perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of the baler. A pre-cutter is disposed forward of the inlet along the central longitudinal axis and includes a cutter width perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis. The cutter width is substantially less than the inlet width. A crop distributor is disposed between the pre-cutter and the inlet and conveys the crop material from the pre-cutter to the inlet. A pick-up head is disposed forward of the pre-cutter and lifts the crop material from the ground and conveys it to the pre-cutter.
Material wrap system with self cleaning feature
A system for wrapping a material around a bale in a baler includes a feed system to direct the material through a feed path. A knife mechanism with a fixed knife and a counter-knife alternately cuts the material, and moves out of the feed path for feed of the material. The feed system includes a roll element configured to direct the material between the fixed knife and the counter-knife when the counter-knife is moved out of the feed path. A cylindrical brush rotates freely and is disposed between the roll element and the knife mechanism, the brush having a cylindrical shape. The brush is configured to remove debris when rotated.
AGRICULTURAL BALER WITH CONDITIONING ROTOR AND SHEAR BAR FOR FEEDING BALING CHAMBER
An agricultural baler includes: a chassis; a pickup carried by the chassis and including a plurality of rotatable tines configured to pick up crop material; a baling chamber carried by the chassis and configured to form a bale from crop material; and a feeding assembly carried by the chassis and configured to receive picked up crop material from the pickup and supply crop material to the baling chamber. The feeding assembly includes: a rotatable rotor carrying a plurality of projections configured to feed crop material to the baling chamber as the rotor rotates; and a shear bar disposed between the pickup and the rotor and configured to cooperate with the projections carried by the rotor to condition crop material before the crop material is fed to the baling chamber by the projections.
Shaft Shield for Rotary Conveyor
A shield to prevent crop material from wrapping around the shaft of a rotary conveyor of a harvester, such as a baler, includes a body. The body is positioned between a stripper finger and a shaft of the rotary conveyor and has an end surface facing the shaft. A lug is positioned at the opposite end of the body from the end surface and is attached to the housing of the rotary conveyor. The body has opposite side surfaces positioned in spaced relation at a distance substantially equal to the width of the separation fingers of the rotary conveyor.
AGRICULTURAL BALER WITH INTERMESHING FEED ROTORS
A feeder unit for an agricultural baler includes: a first rotor including a plurality of first extensions extending therefrom, the first rotor being configured to rotate about a first axis of rotation at a first rotation speed; and a second rotor arranged in parallel with the first rotor relative to the axis of rotation and comprising a plurality of second extensions extending therefrom that intermesh with the plurality of first extensions, the second rotor being configured to rotate about a second axis of rotation at a second rotation speed that is different from the first rotation speed.
Cutting Device for Agricultural Crop
A cutting device for agricultural crop has cutting elements and a rotor element rotating in operation about a rotor axis. The cutting elements are arranged in a cutting position stationarily relative to the rotor element and are able to yield in a springy fashion. The rotor element has a central body that is provided with a central conveying section and with at least one axial conveying section. The central conveying section has central conveying elements correlated with the cutting elements. The at least one axial conveying section is provided with an axial conveying element extending spirally at least in sections about the rotor axis.
