Plant hold-down bracket
A convertible, plant securement device intended for nurseries and horticulturalists to secure potted and non-potted plants and trees from tipping over as well as securing their watering lines. The device may be used with a vertical ground stake such as a section of steel rebar wherein it has a horizontal hook that catches over the edge of a pot to secure it to the ground. Alternatively, it may be rotated 90 degrees and secured to a trellis wire and then strapped around the stock or trunk of a tree to keep it vertical and upright.
Plant cultivation system using plant hangers with plant trays at multiple heights
A plant hanger assembly having multiple level plant trays, useful for growing plants in an upright configuration is provided for use with a trolley conveyor. A plurality of plant trays of selected size and shape are provided spaced apart along a vertical axis. A vertical support shaft has an upper end and a lower end. The plant trays may be circular in shape, with sloping sidewalls. The sloping sidewalls may be angled out sufficiently that the plant trays can be stacked in a nested configuration for storage. The plant trays include a base having grooved channels for transfer of water on the obverse side, and reinforcing ribs for strength, on the reverse side. Apertures between the obverse side and the reverse side allow excess water in an upper plant tray to drain downward into a plant tray therebelow. Shaft couplers are provided, with attachment rings or pins, to securely join the plant trays to the vertical support shaft. The plant hangers are adapted for attachment to and use with a trolley conveyor in a plant factory.
Installation for a hanging cultivation system
An installation that has a plurality of conduits hung by pairs of steel cables connected to rotary shafts such that the rotation of the same causes some conduits to ascend and others to descend, allowing the same to be situated at different heights. The rotary shafts from which the cables of the conduits hang are actuated by reducers actuated by a chain-and-sprocket drive that is actuated by a main shaft connected to a motor reducer.
Pallet System For Transporting Plants
A system including components and electronic modules that together form a transportation and growing system for plants and fungi is provided, the system including at least two components, the components further including one or more of pallets, liquid collectors, posts, rails for trays, and accessories useful for managing use of the trays; and one or more electronic modules, the electronic modules further including one or more of processors, logic systems and/or controllers useful for controlling functionality of the system.
Window planter including slidable compartments
A window planter includes a first compartment including a first sidewall and a second sidewall. The first compartment is configured to house a first group of plants. A second compartment is slidably coupled to the first compartment. The first compartment includes a first outer sidewall. The second compartment is configured to house a second group of plants separated from the first group of plants by the first sidewall of the first compartment. A third compartment is slidably coupled to the first compartment. The third compartment includes a second outer sidewall. The third compartment is configured to house a third group of plants separated from the first group of plants by the second sidewall. At least the first compartment and the second compartment are configured to be secured to a window frame.
DISPLAY CLIP MOUNTING MEMBER
A mounting member in the nature of a display clip including a first body and second body joined at one end, each of the first and second bodies having an inner surface. Use of strategically placed ribs and cavities on one or both of the first body and second bodies facilitate stabilization of the mounting member generally, resistance to unintentional removal, and content displays on a product or container.
PLANT SUPPORT CAGE ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH TROLLEY CONVEYOR
A plant support cage assembly useful for growing plants in an upright configuration is provided for use with a trolley conveyor. A plurality of vertical support elements of selected length are provided spaced apart circumferentially about a vertical axis. Vertical support elements have an upper end and a lower end. At least some vertical support elements include an inwardly sloping lower portion. A plant container receiving portion is formed in part by the inwardly sloping lower portions vertical support elements, and by one or more plant container retaining hoops which are sized and shaped for receiving and containing therein a plant container of complementary size and shape. Coupling bars are provided affixed to and crossing under the plant container receiving portion, and extending outward therefrom for use in containment of plant stems. A plurality of hoop elements are provided, horizontally oriented and spaced apart vertically, and each affixed to at least some of the vertical support elements. One or more connector portions are provided above and affixed to the upper end of the vertical support elements. The connector portions are adapted for attachment of the plant support cage assembly to a trolley conveyor in a plant factory.
ABOVE GROUND WATERING SYSTEM FOR VANDACEOUS ORCHIDS
An above ground watering system for vandaceous orchid air plants. Some embodiments may comprise one or more watering elements, such as a watering manifold that may deliver water through one or more outtake ports through water delivery members that may extend from the watering manifold and ribbons wrapped around the roots of the vandaceous orchid to deliver water and/or nutrients continuously via capillary action.
Growing system
Growing systems including double-walled growing devices, and methods of making and using the same are provided. Growing devices include two sheets of material, a sprouting layer and a rooting layer, strategically bonded together to form containers for growing plants. Each container includes openings in the layers to allow the plants to grow out of their containers and to allow roots to access water through the rooting layer. The two layers can be formed into a cylinder where the center of the cylinder provides a channel for watering such that the roots grow into that channel. Deployed as a flat sheet of containers, the device can include a third layer to provide a water channel between the rooting layer and the third layer. Growing systems include the device and can also include a system to provide water thereto, and an enclosure around the device for providing an overpressure.
