3D-printed seals and connectors for electric submersible pumps
An electrical connector assembly for electric submersible pumps (ESPs) has a fluid impenetrable seal 3D-printed between the power cable and an internal housing component of the electrical connector assembly. Electrical insulation or dielectric for a conductor of the power cable may also be 3D-printed integrally with the fluid seal. The housing component, such as an internal electrical housing, may also be 3D-printed integrally with the printed seal. Likewise, in an implementation, the 3D-printed seal, the internal housing component, and an outer pothead case may all be 3D-printed as a unit onto the power cable. The 3D-printed seal and associated pothead components may be composed of a variety of chemical-resistant materials, such as printed polyarylether-ketones, printed fluorinated polymers, and metal alloys. The 3D-printed seal may also include barrier materials or reinforcement fillers to enhance strength and chemical resistance to well fluids and gases.
Electric pump
An electric motor driven that includes a pump body and a motor body having a rotor enclosure coupled to the pump body. The motor body further includes a rotatable impeller arranged on a first side of the rotor enclosure. An electric motor arranged on a second side of the rotor enclosure, opposite the first side, the electric motor having a stator, at least one stator coil, terminals connected to the stator coil and a rotor, the rotor including a shaft that is coupled with the impeller. A cover is disposed over the electric motor, the cover having an open end that is attached to the rotor enclosure in a manner that produces a leak-tight chamber inside the cover, the stator and stator coil being arranged inside the leak-tight chamber, the leak-tight chamber being filled with a non-gaseous filler material, the non-gaseous filler material having a thermal conductivity greater than air.
PUMP MOTOR AND WASHING MACHINE HAVING THE SAME
A pump motor is disclosed. The pump motor includes a case; a socket part disposed in a portion of the case and provided with a terminal part thereinside; and a cover part detachably coupled to the case and configured to open and close the socket part, wherein the socket part includes a moisture blocking member configured to block a gap between the case and the cover part.
Multi-piece housing for submersible pump electrical connector
An electrical connector for a submersible well pump motor has a lower housing with upward protruding bosses. The bosses have parallel axes and a passage. An electrical line extends through each of the passages, each of the electrical lines having a lead sheath. A lead tape wrap is wrapped around an external side wall each of the bosses and a portion of the lead sheath of one of the electrical lines. An upper housing has first and second members that fit on opposite sides of the electrical lines and lower ends that connect to the lower housing. The first and second members have recesses that mate to define cavities, each of the cavities receiving one of the lead tape wraps. A fastener clamps the first and second members of the upper housing together.
Integrated motor and fluid pump
An electric pump powered by an electric motor having a stator disposed within a hollow rotor is provided. Impellers on the rotor outer surface extend into a fluid flow path defined by the pump. One or more torque-producing rotor sections are driven by a plurality of independently controllable stator sections disposed within the rotor cavity. The relative positions of the rotor and stator are maintained by a plurality of bearings configured to allow rotation of the rotor and defining a bearing span. The pump is configured such that the stator and rotor share the same bearing span. Such an arrangement reduces motor windage losses relative to conventional motors in which the rotor is disposed within the stator, owing to a reduction in the diameter of the air gap between the stator and the rotor. In addition, the peripheral speed of the pump is increased owing to an increase in the rotor diameter.
Sump junction box
A system including a sump having an inner volume and a junction box coupled to the sump. The junction box has a body defining an inner volume, and also has a first inlet and a second inlet, wherein each inlet is in fluid communication with the inner volume of the body. The junction box further has a first outlet and a second outlet, wherein each outlet is in fluid communication with the inner volume of the body such that a first wire is positionable in the first inlet and the first outlet and a second wire is positioned in the second inlet and the second outlet.
PUMP ASSEMBLY FOR A DISHWASHING APPLIANCE
A pump assembly for a dishwashing appliance includes an inner diffuser shell defining a motor housing and an outer diffuser shell spaced apart from the inner diffuser shell to define a diffusing plenum. A motor positioned within the motor housing rotates a wash pump impeller and urges a flow of wash fluid through the diffusing plenum. Within the diffusing plenum, guide vanes extend between the inner diffuser shell and the outer diffuser shell to diffuse and direct the flow of wash fluid. The motor is powered by electrical wires that pass through a hole defined through the outer diffuser shell, through one of the plurality of guide vanes, and through the inner diffuser shell.

Submersible power cable
A power cable can include a conductor; an insulation layer disposed about the conductor where the insulation layer includes a first polymeric material; and a shield layer disposed about the insulation layer where the shield layer includes a second polymeric material where a solubility parameter of the first polymeric material is less than a solubility parameter of the second polymeric material.
Ring-Style Terminal Block and Submersible Pump With Ring-Style Terminal Block
Embodiments of the invention provide a ring-style terminal block for supporting electrical connections. The ring-style terminal block includes an annular component having a radially inward facing surface at least partially defined by a first radius, a radially outward facing surface at least partially defined by a second radius larger than the first radius, a top surface extending between the radially inward facing surface and the radially outward facing surface, and a bottom surface. The bottom surface extends between the radially inward facing surface and the radially outward facing surface. The bottom surface is opposite the top surface and separated from the top surface by a thickness. The terminal block also includes a plurality of terminals spaced apart circumferentially and formed integrally within the annular component.
